Reduced load times is the main draw for the PS5. I would add framerate but Sony hasn't done as great a job as Microsoft in boosting previous generation games. Beyond that, PS4 still seems viable today.
Aside from Borderlands 3, I can't really think of any ps4 games with absurdly long load times that I know of. I imagine No Man's Sky has to be pretty bad based off of how slow it is on pc with no sd drive. But quite frankly, though, ps4 load times are pretty nice compared to previous systems I've owned.

I had to dust mine off, it was legit collecting dust since 2021, the only games i bought for it were Cyberpunk and Stellar Blade, the rest is my old PS4 games.
The PS4 is a great console for people with a small budget. Even today. The library is outstanding. Especially if you have no experience with the last Console Gen. And many Games still run well on the PS4 Slim. Also, the newer ones like GoW Ragnaròk or Horizen Forbidden West. It's a perfect package for beginning to just have fun and play. Also, for Collecting. The games are really cheap now.
Same man. I got a Spidey PS4 Pro, and I still play it every day. Nothing makes me happier than buying physical games and getting good deals on them. I love the PS4.
This system is a classic. The controller is the same as previous controller's. The variety of games are just wild. My backlog for this system will probably outlive me at the moment.

One difference between PS3 and PS4 that is never talked about as far as I can tell, is when you have more than one player on the same console, on PS3 the 2nd player could still be assigned to the same user as Player 1, whereas on PS4 you are forced to log in as a guest or another user account. Sucks for couch co-op. So for example trying to play Diablo 3 co-op and the 2nd player couldn't save their character

I loved the PS4, it's just when I got my PS5, I just gifted it to a family member, since I can play most games on PS5. The only issues I had with a ps4 game on PS5 was Rush of Blood VR, it randomly pauses at times. but it still works, so at least I could play it. The rest of my library worked flawlessly. Anywho, I think the PS4 was awesome =] I happily owned PS2, PS3, PSP, PS4, PS Vita and PS5 (in that order more or less) and I loved every single second of it. I’ve had a PS4, but the disc drive broke on the base model. I couldn’t WAIT to get a PS5! I REALLY WANTED to get games like Miles Morales, Jedi: Survivor, Spider-Man 2, AND Gran Turismo 7 ALL on the PS5. And I am loving it a year and five months later.
I’m playing Watch Dogs on PS3 for the first time and I love it! I beat the first Sly Cooper and got the platinum trophy over the weekend. With all the negativity surrounding modern gaming, it’s refreshing to go back in time and find retro gaming to be the era that provides the most fun. On an unrelated topic: I just snagged a brand new sealed copy of Ridge Racer 7 for PS3 on eBay the other day for a great price!
bruh the PS4 is not even dead its still being sold in store & hundreds of millions of people especially Japanese/Asians still playing PS4.......now the xbox one??? ok that pc console hella boring dead as hell no joke with awful system menu & literally ZERO JAPANESE / ASIAN GAMES AT ALL !!!
dualsense looks more futuristic and has those triggers but I still like dualshock 4 the most. perfect simple controller. people who have bigger hands didn't like dualshock 3 so this was good controller for them.but dualsense is even bigger so maybe little too big ?! had that share button, something I wanted since ps3 generation started. I remember the ps4 February event. Killzone Shadow Fall had one of most impressive demos ever. I remember, before the event I was wondering what could really excite me abut next-gen games and then they showed all this buildings with mirrors and I was like O_O and lights, waterfalls, puddles, cloths swinging in the wind, clean textures and not muddy as ps3 generation.... then they showed inFamous which also blew me away. the Seattle map looked different from other open world maps and districts were interesting. loved that game. took 350 screenshots during gameplay. good video ;-)
I held out on getting a PS5 for as long as I could until one or two games that I really wanted came out on the five and I managed to snack one for relatively cheap. Just like with the PS3 and 4, there was a lot of backwards compatibility and remastered games out on the system at launch and that really threw me off. I managed to save quite a bit of money and get a bunch of games on PS4 still even PS3 when the change happened on that system as well.
I bought a Ps5 to play my ps4 games but with fast ssd load times . 155 ps4 games have the free 4k/60 fps patch for ps5 . Love playing my Mass Effect ps4 disc at 4/k60 with fast load times rather than at 1080p/30 with long elevators rides hiding slow load times .
When they changed the store on PS3 PSN store from its first design to a web-based design which is what we have now and then going forward on to the PS4 and 5 was the biggest problem ever. Not to mention the store is all over the place. The stores load slow and if you have slow internet it's even worse.
I have both PS4 and PS5. It's crazy that I have yet to really want any PS5 game. All the games I am playing right now are PS4 titles in my PS5. So I started playing on my PS4 pro instead. PS4 pro is so good still specially if you upgrade to an SSD drive.
I only game on a PS4 Pro. I have yet to get a PS5. Games look great on the PS4 Pro. I am currently struggling with Sekiro. One needs to play smart and patient to get the upper hand in this game! Monster Hunter World is my favorite. Got to the point where I could solo any monster in the base game. It runs and looks fantastic on the PS4 Pro, too. Another fine looking game is FFVII Remake. I've only dabbled in Ghost of Tsushima. My PS4 Pro is not loud. I have one of the later model ones, I think that's why. My only beef about the controller is the pause button. It's a tiny button squeezed into a tight space. I'm pretty sure I will grab a PS5 Pro later this year. I don't really want to hold out until the PS6 before upgrading.
I never left my consoles behind, honestly. Maybe except my PS1 because now I have a modded PS Mini and before that I just used the PS2 or PS3 to play those PS1 games but I never truly stopped playing a PlayStation console. On my PS4 I still have all my games that didn’t get a PS5 conversion because for one My PS5 has 1tb of storage and games now are like 80 to 100gb a piece and my PS4 has a hard drive upgrade thats a 2tb so I never really stopped playing it.
My main console is a PS4 Pro w/ upgraded 1 TB SSD....... I'm still NOT convinced to buy a PS5 or PS5 PRO. Other consoles I have are an Og Xbox 1 1 TB, PS3 slim 500gb, PS2 slim and a modded SNES classic. I game/watch 4k Blu rays movies/media stream etc on a 49" Sony x800e LED smart TV (2017 model 4k tv)- had the tv since 2018.
I got used to 60fps when I started playing on PC more in Dec 23. Since then 30fps looks jarring. So I have started playing any PS4 games I already own on PS5 if the framerate is better and quite a few of them are. I have been playing more on PS3 recently and I’ve just finished killzone 2 but had to switch to an emulator as it wasn’t even hitting 30fps at times and was making me feel sick.. Amazing what you get used to 😅
This guy's thumbnails crack me up He looks how a boss looks when he's called you into his office to give you bad news or tell you about a mistake you've made
To your point on the Witcher. The last game I've felt that way about is neir automata. I bought that recently and can't stop playing it. The different endings and stuff is just crazy interesting.
Had a ps3, never ps4 so I'm on the ps5, I really like it, but i don't really play online with people except for rocket league. Not many people like me. Interface is fine on ps5, and the background music is relaxing. Ps5 dual sense is great, except battery life can be better. My ps5 doesnt get loud or hot. Sure games are more expensive but i emulate on an imac and i have mini super nintendo modded
I will most likely relate with the title if I buy a PS4 in the near future. I never owned one but I have played it a friend's house. I like the feel of the controller compared to the PS3 one.
Yeah i get the feeling. I bought a PS5 back in November and i was so fine just playing with my PS4 that i didn't even unbox it until last month so i can play Stellar Blade which is the first game that got kind of exited. Everything else was ether on Ps4 as well or didn't seem that exciting. And the fine thing the console came with the SpiderMan 2 game since it is the special SpiderMan edition PS5 and yet i was still not that interested to take it out and start playing.
PSVR has an immense catalogue, and super cheap on the second hand market. Astrobot, Wip3out, Farpoint, Statik, Doom, Rush of Blood, and RE7 are a good starting point for games.
I don’t have a ps5 just a 4070 laptop but ps5 still seems attractive to me for many exclusives but yeah with the recent releases of exclusives for pc I am quite happy
Only games I would get for PS5 is Unreal5 games. R Type Final 3 which is PS5 and PC exclusive. And Robocop Rogue City. Those are my two PS5 game picks. I got a 4TB PS4 with 84 games taking up under 2Tb.
The sole reason to buy a PlayStation 5 in my opinion is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (which, I absolutely adore) - but, is that along with maybe Spider-Man 2 enough to get people to upgrade? Mostly, no. 8th gen consoles are still perfectly serviceable.

@@thealien_ali3382 The job of the fans is to cool the console. The console was cool to the touch after 3 hours of gameplay. That is a good thing. Everything works as it should.
Idk what version I have but my PS4 fan isn't that loud. I've never had an issue with it being too loud. 🤷🏻♂️
How about an optional quick start menu where you can either directly open a game or open the home screen. Unecessary or time saver?
I’ve had a PS4, but the disc drive broke on the base model. I couldn’t WAIT to get a PS5! I REALLY WANTED to get games like Miles Morales, Jedi: Survivor, Spider-Man 2, AND Gran Turismo 7 ALL on the PS5. And I am loving it a year and five months later.
Hey I asked for this 😊. Yup PS4 is still my go to console even with a expensive gaming PC
I bought the ps4 for Bloodbourne and...yeah, thats about it.
All i play on my ps5 is Elden Ring.
Bloodborne is the perfect reason to own the pp4, very nice
I’m playing Watch Dogs on PS3 for the first time and I love it! I beat the first Sly Cooper and got the platinum trophy over the weekend. With all the negativity surrounding modern gaming, it’s refreshing to go back in time and find retro gaming to be the era that provides the most fun.
On an unrelated topic:
I just snagged a brand new sealed copy of Ridge Racer 7 for PS3 on eBay the other day for a great price!
bruh the PS4 is not even dead its still being sold in store & hundreds of millions of people especially Japanese/Asians still playing PS4.......now the xbox one??? ok that pc console hella boring dead as hell no joke with awful system menu & literally ZERO JAPANESE / ASIAN GAMES AT ALL !!!
Can I play ps3 games on my ps4?
Unfortunately no; you can't.
dualsense looks more futuristic and has those triggers but I still like dualshock 4 the most. perfect simple controller. people who have bigger hands didn't like dualshock 3 so this was good controller for them.but dualsense is even bigger so maybe little too big ?!
had that share button, something I wanted since ps3 generation started.
I remember the ps4 February event. Killzone Shadow Fall had one of most impressive demos ever. I remember, before the event I was wondering what could really excite me abut next-gen games and then they showed all this buildings with mirrors and I was like O_O
and lights, waterfalls, puddles, cloths swinging in the wind, clean textures and not muddy as ps3 generation....
then they showed inFamous which also blew me away. the Seattle map looked different from other open world maps and districts were interesting. loved that game. took 350 screenshots during gameplay. good video ;-)
Imo PS4 pro is one of the best consoles to date.
Really cool too see how his collection has grown over these pass few months 😀
As always, you look pretty handsome on the thumbnail 😅
When they changed the store on PS3 PSN store from its first design to a web-based design which is what we have now and then going forward on to the PS4 and 5 was the biggest problem ever. Not to mention the store is all over the place. The stores load slow and if you have slow internet it's even worse.
I have both PS4 and PS5. It's crazy that I have yet to really want any PS5 game. All the games I am playing right now are PS4 titles in my PS5. So I started playing on my PS4 pro instead. PS4 pro is so good still specially if you upgrade to an SSD drive.
So this is what happen to finch after American pie .
Now that you got the ps out of the way, are you going to go back and play all the older consoles?
Great video.
You NEED to go back and play Driveclub. The game looks INSANE to this day!
Still playing ps4 , but I do want a 5
Iam thinking of getting a ps4 and skipping the ps5 to get the ps6. Is that a good idea?
Anjin-san, I have done this - got the PS4 Pro.
If you want GTA6 then yes it's a bad idea. If you don't care for GTA6, then skip the PS5.
Wait I get the ps5 pro
Ghost of Tsushima is GOAT game
I haven't got a PS5.......I have a ps4 pro and a PSVR 1. I absolutely love playing both.
The touchpad on PS5 controller does help for there not to be issues with PS4 backwards compatibility, at the very least
I love my PS4 since I purchased it back in 2017, it was the original exact same console as the one in the video.
PS4 being the most beautiful looking system... it's nice but for most beautiful, no. My choice is the model 1 Sega Saturn.
Amazing what you get used to 😅
This guy's thumbnails crack me up
He looks how a boss looks when he's called you into his office to give you bad news or tell you about a mistake you've made
Basem, I hope youre a Stand Up comic< cause Youre very funny, also very Observent! love ya broski!
One sole reason to buy ps4 beside other reason--
BloodBorne BABY
To your point on the Witcher. The last game I've felt that way about is neir automata. I bought that recently and can't stop playing it. The different endings and stuff is just crazy interesting.
Ps5 might be worth it for the controller... And honestly the free cyberpunk update for the ps5 absolutely made that game.... bearable 🙂
10:00 even if the only difference in games would be just 60fps instead of 30....HELL YEAH WORTH IT!!!! so much better.
Can you do more PS4 game recommendations? Would love to see some videos of you game hunting too 😊
Can you make more videos, literally about anything I just wanna hear you yap
Their Essential monthly games have been horrible lately though.
I like the ps5 because it plays ps4 games better than ps4 could do…and ps5 games. Loved ps4 and now 5 even more.
I love ps4 and even happier with the 5…First time I bought a brand new console other than my second 360.
Still playing on PS3 and PS4 with ps VR and loving it....
Best looking consoles imo are the PS2 and Xbox One X, and they're basically the same shape, always thought the fat PS3 was ugly, PS4 looks decent
