@@TucBroder Dont dispute that. But it went from dumpster-fire to gem over a matter of years. Wish other devs had the same gumption and willingness to swallow their pride and fix their broken shit after release. It's not as if PS3 didn't have internet connectivity and the ability to download patches.
Yeah, a fair warning to some gamers, not all games even back in the old days were masterpieces. It's just that we got more good stuff, then bad or mediocre stuff that we barley payed attention to the bad stuff.
While I agree with this statement, I would say that the overall calibre of games then was higher than it is now. This was in the very early stages of broken games being released at full price, and there weren't as many devs holding back content behind extortionate pay walls.
Your Retrofighters Defender controller is the default one, compatible with PS1, PS2 and PS3. The other one to get is the Retrofighters Defender Bluetooth Edition that your PS3 consider as a real Dualshock and has the Sixaxis in
I remember for getting this after seeing it in a magazine and it looked cool as s*** lol. Definitely is a cold classic for a lot of people but this is the first game that made me strafe and turn like it was my first ever FPS played. The controls I remember were horrendous but the story seemed kind of okay so I remember playing through it at least once.
Really like your vids ! Very fun and entertaining ! Also Haze was always trash. I remember seeing multiple copies of Haze at a gamestop years ago for $2.95 and Nobody bought them.😅 Also sooo much Light Bloom ! OMG 😮
At least it looks better than Blacksite Area 51 and runs smoother, the major thing that bothers me about this game is the cheesy dialog of the initial squad, but I might revisit this after I fixed my Dualshock 3 gamepad. (EDIT) Your reviews are funny, but you are actually making me want to retry this game😅 This graphics actually look decent when you shoot the nectar soldiers.
What i find the most suprising about this game is, that it is made by Free Radical Design. With Timesplitters 3 as there previous game, they have should build on that, instead of trying to be like Halo. In my opinion TimeSplitters 1,2,3 are some of the best FPS games and Halo has looked a lot at the TimeSplitters games. A lot of developers at Free Radical came from Rare and made Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, so i consider them always more the originators when it comes to console FPS games.
I recently beat this. Its not bad. Performance sucks at times. I hate the switching sides aspect. Playing as a Mantel soldier was far more interesting and had some interesting concepts going on with the drug.
I've been curious about Haze for a long time, thinking it might have just gotten trashed hard because people were expecting a Halo killer, thanks for the in depth explanation of why it's not worth the time. One of the only RUclipsrs I'd watch talk for 20mins about a game that sucks. Keep 'em comin' man
I agree that the cover is pretty good. I like it. Personally I would maybe describe the game as being more forgettable and bland than catastrophically bad, but it wasn't a very satisfying experience, that's for sure. Losing access to the Nectar after a while does of course make perfect sense in the story (the whole sinister agenda behind the product is pretty interesting), but it didn't feel very fun when that unique ability was suddenly taken away. Got rid of my copy a few years back, but I would probably never have played it a second time anyway. Could have been decent game, but that isn't what we got.
I recommend Max Payne 3 and Dead Island. The story is nothing special really, but the game play is still some of the best in my opinion and Max Payne 3’s graphics still looks good today.
I think the accual game that was supposed to be the halo killer was killzone but the first game wasn't so great but the second and third one were great but they killed the franchise with killzone shadowfall
I personally have never understood the appeal of a single player first person shooter I'm not saying that there aren't any good ones because I've liked the revival of Doom and kill zone and resistance were pretty okay but if I'm playing an FPS it's got to have multiplayer component to it otherwise it's kind of boring
I had to force myself to finish this one years and years after i picked it up for like 6 bucks. Its trash especially the back half of the game is horrible. 😂😂😂
