This weeks video is a 15-minute Meditation for calming the nervous system and accessing the Vagus Nerve. Please check out the video and let me know how you get on.
I read my comments, so please share your questions.
As someone who recovered from the severe trauma of losing my son, I know the importance of finding some ease within the body. I witnessed Joshua's last breaths and this image aroused PTSD and severe anxiety and depression.
Accessing the Vagus Nerve and Polyvagal Theory were critical in my recovery. It allowed me the capacity to find a little ease whilst in tandem I built a meditation practice and sought therapy.
This video is recorded life with a group who are participating in my online course (www.remotetribe.co.uk) where we dive deep into the neuroscience of stress, mindfulness and recovery.
Recovery from whatever loss or stress you have suffered is possible. It does require a desire to do the work, and a commitment to show up. Remember to seek help, speak to friends and find a therapist or coach that is right for you.
    Justin.

As a chronic anxiety sufferer for years I've only recently discovered the therapeutic effects of looking after my vagus nerve. After years of ineffective therapy I can honestly say I've found something that helps put me in control. I felt so relaxed after this short meditation I almost fell asleep, my breathing deepened and my stress levels fell dramatically so thank you.

Extremely unexpected event happened today. 4 AM had to rush my cat to an ER vet and have him euthanized. I’m still in shock my body is trembling and I need to release this emotions and except what happened. I am mourning my bed buddy, and so is his brother, looking frantically for him. This meditation was very helpful❤️❤️🙏

I've been having tachycardia and have been working on bringing my pulse down all morning. It's been coming down bit by bit, but just now, before this meditation, it was 83. Then after doing this meditation, it was 75. That's the biggest difference I've gotten all morning, and I tried three different exercises before this. This works!

you might want to try acupressure on the heart and pericardium meridians. Points are H7 and PC6. Google it - works great for my heart racing. Also points DU20, CV17 and the point just above the upper lip and below the nose, press in with nail. You can do all of them in succession - they work great!

I just found your Chanel and this meditation. I suffer from CPTSD. After many years of Theraphy , I have recently found out about how stress can be stored in the nervous system and how healing the body is just as important. I am learning more about the Vagus system and can’t wait to do this meditation as soon as I open my eyes , since I feel a sense of hopeless as soon as I wake up. I will be saving it to have available offline for when I travel . Thank you!

Hi Laura, do you mean where I promote my course? It comes after the meditation. I would love not to promote anything, but I offer hours and hours of free content to support people worldwide. I do need to promote paid services occasionally. It is at the end of the video, and after I ask you to open your eyes. I am sorry you feel this way. Nobody else has commented negatively. I hope you can understand my position a little better now.

It's no good doing all these exercises for your nervous system/vagus nerve if your Atlas is misaligned.
