Thank you Sir, this meditation was brilliant! I was so anxious that was unable to eat for 2 days and I managed to have some food after this meditation. Your puppy is also adorable hopefully she will meditate with us in another videos as well
I just finished this meditation. It was truly lovely. Your gentle guidance, encouragement and infusion of knowledge are very well balanced, engaging and calming. I look forward to meditating with you again. Thank you!
You saved my mental health 4 months ago. My fiance was rushed to the hospital with a life-threatening disease. If it weren't for you, I don't know how my mental health would have been. This video is golden ❤
You are my favourite. Just so calming. Consistency is what I need to work towards. It's amazing when you are in fight or flight that all you know to help yourself just disappears. It's not easy, but I know it will get easier. Thank you.
I have been locked in fight or flight mode with constant gruelling anxiety and heart/bp spikes since early feb when my thyroid crashed. I found your channel yesterday and did this meditation and whilst anxietys still there its now bearable. Just did the meditation a 2nd time and going do it every day. Thankyou for this 🙏
Can’t thank you enough for that beautiful meditation, probably the best I’ve ever done, you are such a kind human being , literally changed my energy to a flow 💙thank you
Wonderful, Thank you-I am in adrenal fatigue, have Hashimoto thyroiditis suffering from anxiety and depression with gut bacteria overgrowth, and this helped me.
I to say yes let's listen relax and restart.i get to ask my heart and God questions sometimes.intouch with loved ones comes closer while listening.thankyou justin
I really like your videos... especially routine sessions like this. I usually try to do vegud nerve practices once a week or so. Thanks so much for these videos, they save me :)
I’ve had a tough few years, what with one thing after another, culminating in cardiac ablation in June 23, which has truly messed with my vagus nerve and bottomed out my HRV. I KNOW I should be meditating and doing breath-work, but I always put it off! You answered my question as to why I’m constantly prevaricating instead of simply getting on with it. Now I know what the reason is I can deal with it and do the work. Thank you. 🙏
I know I already commented on this meditation but I just have to say how much I love it. The music is extra relaxing too. So happy I did the 20 min session today. Thanks again Justin for all that you do. You are a bright light.
Great meditation! You have a talent, that’s for sure :) Your voice is so grounding, for me it was hard to meditate on guided meditations, this was first time I really enjoyed it and went in a really deep state. Thank you, Justin :)
Just found you recently (I’m in Canada) on my somatic healing journey and I love your voice and meditations and videos! I look forward to healing with your help and hope you reach your subscription goal!!!
Thank you very much. I listened to the previous vagus nerve for about 100 times in half a year so I could dream the text. I like this, it calmed me down 👍🏼🙏🏼
Thanks. That’s great to hear. I love sharing these to help folks and it’s so great to hear the stories. Wishing your continued growth and recovery. Justin.
Thank you ❤ such a beautiful vagal meditation. You are wonderful and inspirational i am on the long journey of long covid and the stimulation of the nerve is paramount to recovery. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. 2.t years in this gives me hope.
Always appreciate your videos Justin, just wish I could end this anxiety bout. Waking at 4:00 am with it and then the mind gets to work, like a hamster on a wheel. Dragging me down so much. I can’t get to that relaxed state anymore :-(
Thank you especially for what you said at the very end of the meditation… The availability to cause before responding in a stressful situation, which is something that happened to me last night with family, if I can add a 10% of growth rather than one percent that many of your clients are seeking. Just hope next time things are stressful with family. I can remember your suggestion to just pause! I sometimes think OK just take a moment and then it’s like still. I need jerk reaction in response to someone who has upset me. But I’m gonna keep working on it until it improves 100%, thank you
I did one of your breath work earlier and this popped up. I literally had a few moments of resistance and after it went away. I am grateful and thank you for helping us. Thank you 🙏🏼
Just discovered Justin caffrey and have started playing the sleep meditation before bed which I have found really good. Justin has a very soothing voice. Just listened to the video above enjoyed it but found it hard to do the nasal breathing. I was ok with initial inhale for 4, but couldn't exhale through my nose for 6 so I had to switch to exhaling through my mouth, I wonder is this just as beneficial. I don't think having blocked sinuses has helped.
Thank you Justin! I needed this longer session today. It was excellent. Adding 7 additional minutes to my practice was initially a mental hurdle but I am so grateful I did it. Thank u for all that you do.
Hi, Can we do this lying down on mat, or sitting posture only? Sitting posture causes numbness in leg area & it becomes uncomfortable after a while. Please guide
Hi Justin! Thank you for your meditation. I cried a lot at the end because I had such a bad neck pain and a brain fog. It did clear. I was unable to have a refreshing nap for 2 days because of that. What meditation would you recommend for the pain specifically, that is not too long. 17 to 20 min is usually enough for me.
Justin if I could take a moment of your time to ask a question please. Could you do this meditation lying on a bed. I have a problem with my back that prevents me from adopting a traditional meditation position. Thank you for this and your time.
Hi Phil, absolutely. That’s no problem. I usually do say that at the start but forgot to for this one. The focus on the nasal breathing is the key. Best wishes, Justin.
Thanks Justin, I suffer with anxiety in the morning. I believe it's high cortisol from what I have read. Is there a best time of day to practice to help with the impact of anxiety when I wake up. It's impacting my sleep. Thanks
at 88 never too late to learn. 35 years of fibro from lyme and a neck injury. Vagus nerve exercises and meditaion my next step. Find cold water and nia exercise while sitting most helpful to date. I am a mouth breather so need these breathe exercises. thank you.
Wow. I am so impressed with your willingness to seek change. It is all possible and in turn you will find a new mental clarity and deeper connection to self. ❤🙏
It feels like I’m suffocating Fr maybe I’m just too stressed out I can’t wait too try again at a better time because I can tell it’s doing something I just can’t do it the exact way you’re doing it yet
18:30 in and I realized I must breath in AND out through my nose, I’ve always been told to breath in through nose, out through the mouth. Do you have any experiences/uses, or insights for that type of breathing?
Try to hold the air in a let it out a little slower than how you inhaled. It may take a bit of practice. We breath in and out quickly when trapped in fight-flight, so slowing this down helps the nervous system know that it is time to recover. ✅💫🙏
Is it alright if I move around during this? Leaning side to side, sticking my chest out and just doing whatever else I feel like doing, as long as my breathing intervals and strength are correct
I think I'm stuck in freeze mode. I experienced a lot of physical and mental trauma and now I can't really activate my sympathetic nervous system/circulation anymore. Is it still helpful to do these exercises?
Amazing. Nobody else had this problem. It might be worth trying your web connection or headphone? I hope you can get a better audio connection next next time.
Hi Tanya, sorry you didn’t like it. I don’t do that in the meditation. Could it have been an advert on RUclips? You can see all the comments below. Where did you hear me snap my fingers and clap my hands?

You are most welcome. Meeting that challenge of daily practice is like lifting dumbbells for your nervous system and especially your vagus nerve. 🙏💫
Love this. Thank you. And which background music is this, so I can search it. It’s so peaceful.

I can never lengthen my exhale through the nose like I can through the mouth. How can I learn that?
Try to hold the air in a let it out a little slower than how you inhaled. It may take a bit of practice. We breath in and out quickly when trapped in fight-flight, so slowing this down helps the nervous system know that it is time to recover. ✅💫🙏
First time for me, I am running out of breath. M i doing something wrong or i got a long way to go when i actually feel calm?
Is it alright if I move around during this? Leaning side to side, sticking my chest out and just doing whatever else I feel like doing, as long as my breathing intervals and strength are correct
When i do this should i be counting everytime 4 secs in 6 seconds out. Or just estimate so i can relax more.
Estimating is fine. It can be helpful to count a little at the start to get use to the length. Main focus is always slower exhale. 👌❤️🙏
I think I'm stuck in freeze mode. I experienced a lot of physical and mental trauma and now I can't really activate my sympathetic nervous system/circulation anymore. Is it still helpful to do these exercises?
