I have a 2000 ranger 3.0 and I'm going to put a 302 in it. What engine mounts did you use for the swap? Thanks and good looking ranger.

I just used some c channel steel and drilled a hole for the frame in one side and then a hole on the other side for the the rubber mount that was already on the engine.

If you're still looking to do the swap and haven't started yet, if your truck has t bars then stock explorer 5.0 mounts are direct bolt in. If it's coil sprung then stock v6 mounts with RICK RANGERS adapter plates on eBay, best route and direct bolt in. Good luck 👍

@Dylan Clere my swap is done. It's t bar. I almost wrecked it a few days ago, got into boost around 50 mph, it broke the stock 28 spline 8.8 axle. Almost finished building the explorer 31 spline setup now.

@@TurboRanger351 302? I bought the whole expo donor so I got the 5.0 and 31 8.8 and some more goodies, using a 5 speed 4x4 trans with plans for boost

@Dylan Clere 5.0 carbureted blow through. 7875 turbo AODE modified also a 3200 10 inch stall converter. It was the stock 8.8 with 28 spline axles but building an explorer 31 spline setup with moser axles

Is your ranger a short or long bed?

      Long bed

    • @bobbysvt

@@roosadventures5054 how do you like the long bed? I see long bed rangers all the time but I heard for a drift truck the short bed is the way to go but I know the long bed is only 1 foot longer than the short bed. Do you think I could get away with using a long bed as a drift truck like you?

    • @roosadventures5054

I would definitely recommend the long bed I have a short bed as well and drifting that is just a lot different the sliding my long bed around more control with the long bed I feel

@@roosadventures5054 is the long bed that much bigger than the short bed? I found a automatic ranger that’s really nice no rust but it’s a short bed and I’d have to swap it to a manual so I’m not sure how hard that would be to do. There’s a long bed near me that’s manual but needs a clutch but do you think with the 4 cyl in it that it will be enough to slide the long bed around?

I live in Wisconsin and they don’t make you go throw smog when you register a vehicle. For all they know it still has the v6 in it😂
