lol the school seems like it has barely changed since then.
The Truth And the recent renovations haven’t even changed much aesthetically either
bobmarleysweg meanwhile UBC never stops changing and the students call it university of building construction because it never ends
@@estebanventilador1715 it's same with sfu construction everywhere now. It's fucking annoying. But at the same time nice to know sfu will have museum and student building thing...
Esteban Ventilador lmao look at aq
@@Ms123kill really? Are we gonna have a nicer museum?
Wow! This video really makes SFU look like an amazing place back then. Unfortunately, it is not as competitive in what it offers compared to other universities in Canada today.
What do you mean by other universities? In QS 2022 SFU ranked #13 out of 97 Canadian universities, how is that not competitive? UBC is not the only other universitiy that exists lol
@@thedreamer4222 I don't consider 13th place competitive
it's so refreshing how no one says the word 'like' between every 2 words
Like what do you mean?
replace 'yuh no' with 'like' and nothing will have changed
Whaaaaa
glad you enjoyed this time capsule!
Actually, SFU has changed completely. Everything beautiful about the campus has been changed and removed. University grounds were sold off to high rise developers. Artwork, trees, landscaping and custom cosmetic features were taken away. Campus care and grounds maintenance are down 60% of it's previous priority. Cheap academic buildings have been erected blocking and destroying Arthur Erickson's amazing architectural creation. The only thing left of it's previous glory is the Quadrangle and Library. It no longer has the prestige of a grand University or the learning center of the future minds of tomorrow....it's just a bunch of buildings left standing to operate on the levels of Walmart or any other low overhead business with the drive to gain a quick return as long as they can. Eventually...the entire top of that mountain will be nothing more than unaffordable high-rise condos with an old sign that says "Original Foundations of Simon Fraser University"...
Actually, I'm the one that bought the land.
Well said.
Still the same freaking buildings with no fuckin paint 😂
ugliest school I know of. had a math class in a modular building there.
