    Can you show the shared bathrooms?

      I would, however, I no longer have access inside of the dorm rooms. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Do you have hardwired connection (like by cable) in your room? Or only by wifi? I read in the official website and it says it do have but I want to make sure :), thanks.

      Each dorm room should have an ethernet cable coming from the wall and from the router. The Internet is included with the dorms. I heard rumors that the wifi was one community channel so if it's slow I would recommend using the ethernet cable.

    Is there Aircon in rooms?

    • @dawsonribeiro5690
      @dawsonribeiro5690  6 лет назад

      Not in each individual rooms. The hallways are all heated and are air-conditioned, 99% of the time that's enough to be comfortable. However, some people bring heated blankets or a fan in September heat.

    How much was the fee for dorm??

    Hello friend I'm wondering if each room has it's bathroom ? Or you'll have to share it with other students in the dorm ?

      Each floor has 2 communal bathrooms. Depending upon a floor vote done by your CA in a floor meeting in the first week of school, the bathrooms will either be co-ed (girls and boys can go to each) or unisex (girls get one bathroom, guys get the other bathroom).

      Dawson Ribeiro Ok thank you .. You really helped me this question was always tricking me .. But I got another question.. If somebody wants to have a shower will walk all the way back to his room ? Isn't it a bit hard for ladies to do so ! I bet some have complained is that right !! Sorry for bothering you but I really want to know the place well before making a decision .. Can somebody have a room with a shower even if it's a bit more expensive ???

    • @dawsonribeiro5690

      Important to figure out these things in advance I get it. From what I know of in the towers, which is where 99% of the first years live that stay on campus nobody has that as an option. My only recommendation is trying to pick a room that is closest to one of the bathrooms. The first week can be a little bit awkward seeing guys in the bathroom and vice versa although after a month everyone is just ok with it. A few girls will bring a change of clothes in with them to the shower stall or a robe to walk back.

      Dawson Ribeiro Ooh got it .. One more question please .. In downtown Vancouver how many residences are there .. Like for undergraduates do they have the right to live in any dorm ?? Also is there's a dorm for couples ! Like do two people have right to live together ? And will there be apartments if two siblings wanna join the SFU ? Sorry for asking all these questions once but the system is a bit different from the one in the UK..

      There is nothing saying you have to live in any of the dorms in SFU during your first year however it can be helpful when adjusting to the new University lifestyle. Lots of people live in Vancouver and either bus or drive to school every day. Most likely you won't be given admittance into the family dorms. Usually, they are reserved for late undergraduate students or students completing their master's degree that have started a family. There are lots of choices but if dorms aren't for you I would recommend renting somewhere just off Burnaby mountain or in the Univercity.

    What did you think of the meal plan? Is it worth it?

    • @dawsonribeiro5690
      @dawsonribeiro5690  5 лет назад

      Meal Plan is the best you're gonna get out of the three main schools in the area. (UBC UVIC SFU). I had the pleasure of meeting with the managers and suppliers and was quite surprised as to the quality of the food brought in. I found that the in the first year you spend most of your time in there whether it be eating or socializing. Definitely worth it, depending on your living arrangements..
