NiNi did such a good job with this act. The way she would use some more of the Chinese traditional music and really spice up the music for the metal part.

I sometimes wish the crowd would not be so loud DURING a performance so that we could hear the performer better.

The audience have paid to be there so are always absolutely gagging to scream for absolutely anything to get their moneys worth XD

Auditions are better audio but too many camera cuts.
Live shows are better camera angles, but bad audio.
I miss the old style of audition shows, from the first 8 seasons.
They need to turn the microphone level of the audience down and the performer up!! This isn't the only act where I have found it difficult to hear the performance over the audience!

so true the audience spoils it for so many acts .
Due to the nature of the show going to various locations in the country, they usually hire a local sound production company to wherever they are at the time (I have friends who work in the industry who have done X Factor and a few other talent shows). And sometimes that team just ends up not being very good such as in this episode.
NiNi, thank you so much for playing rock and metal instrumentals, you've killed it in one of the best ways possible!

NiNi was simply fantastic! She is extremely talented with all the instruments that she has mastered, and what a way to incorporate elements of her culture into something contemporary that the audience can relate to! I have no idea what Simoan was blabbering about, but NiNi blew the roof off the place with her glorious stage presence and mad guitar skills! I voted for her and she definitely should have moved on, but she got the exposure on the show! Everyone should follow her on her RUclips Channel.

I see passion in this audition.
I've been subbed to Nini on RUclips for ages, I'm so happy to see her get some of the recognition she deserves. I liked the song, but yeah, might have lit things up more if she'd shown off her version of Crazy Train. Love seeing people of real talent get appreciated like this.

She is a good guitarist and performer. She needs to play with other musicians and singers too! She is very talented and intense!
I'd love to see her collaborate with other traditional instrumentalists, sort of like Wagakki band who has a lot of traditional Japanese instruments (and singing!) but with a more modern and electric sound. Since a lot of Japanese instruments have a Chinese analog there's a lot of potential

This and at least the green glaive design one from the audition was one she made herself based on another Chinese instrument, I forget if that was the Ruan or something else but yeah. Incredible way of combining tradition with modern innovation, and I love that she still leans into the tradition with her acoustic choices and wardrobe

I really liked her, and wish heavy metal got more love on mainstream shows. But I had a really hard time picking out the sound of her instruments from all the noise of the crowd and the background music. Very disappointing!

not to mention the different number of instruments. The last was not a normal guitar she was playing. It had no dividers like the traditional guitar, more like a hybrid with a violin.
