I discovered them about a year ago and was so taken by the entire package they present, visuals, dance, musicality, but mostly the charisma and confidence that all four of them exude, not just in videos but live performances as well, I had to see for myself, and drug my 61 year old self out to Coachella, braving the desert heat and 125,000 Blinks all wanting the same thing as I, to get as close as possible and see them live. I’ve seen the Stones. I’ve seen Fleetwood Mac. I’ve even seen Queen. Blackpink is in their league with their live performances. The Coachella show was the greatest overall music and visual event I’ve ever witnessed. You watched the documentary first. Good form. Blackpink debuted in August 2016 with Whistle and Boombayah and they hit the ground running. I am a self proclaimed oldest Blink, not related to any of the girls, at 66 years old. However, I didn't discover their existence until 2018 so I had so much catching up to do, just like you and Mrs Coach do now. so glad you checked out "Light Up The Sky". They also have a series called "Blackpink House, 24/365" which is a vlog/Documentary of their life after debuting. I appreciate your open minds to dive into this amazing rabbit hole. One thing, always remember to turn on subtitles before beginning each video as most of their early songs are mostly Korea/English mix. I'm gonna tag along, if that's okay with you. Bob
SQUARE ONE is the debut single(yes I said "single") album containing WHISTLE & BOOMBAYAH". This is a regular think in Kpop. It was released on the August 8, 2016 by YG Entertainment. Whistle is the only M/V that they used GreenScreen. An interesting aside...Jisoo is a passanger on the bicycle, because she didn't know how to ride.
You may not know BlackPinks training and production company is YG Entertainment. They had another 4 member GG that debuted in 2009 called 2NE1 which disbanded in 2016 when BlackPink debuted. They now have a new 7 member GG that is to debut in November 2023 called Baby monster. Blackpink debuted in August 2016 with Whistle and Boombayah and they hit the ground running. I am a self proclaimed oldest Blink, not related to any of the girls, at 66 years old. However, I didn't discover their existence until 2018 so I had so much catching up to do, just like you and Mrs Coach do now. so glad you checked out "Light Up The Sky". They also have a series called "Blackpink House, 24/365" which is a vlog/Documentary of their life after debuting. I appreciate your open minds to dive into this amazing rabbit hole. Whistle is the only M/V that they used GreenScreen.

You may not know BlackPinks training and production company is YG Entertainment. They had another 4 member GG that debuted in 2009 called 2NE1 which disbanded in 2016 when BlackPink debuted. They now have a new 7 member GG that is to debut in November 2023 called Baby monster. Maybe check out the new groups pre-debut song Dream or react to newer BlackPink songs like Shutdown or Pink Venom released in 2022 to see how they have grown. And don't forget all 4 BlackPink members have Solo songs out
