ICE CREAM premiered on August 27, 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, the song achieved 79 million views in 24 hours on RUclips and was co-written by ARIANA GRANDE, the song was made and designed for the North American public and that is why its lyrics It has a double meaning, since the song was recorded in the middle of the pandemic, the girls from BP and SELENA GOMEZ recorded the video separately, since all the airports were closed, however, despite the inconveniences, the video could be recorded, ICE CREAM belongs to the first BLACKPINK's full album called "THE ALBUM"

Well, I mean, the song was partially written by Ariana Grande' herself. That's the Double-entente thing going on... She can be REALLY adult about things and FAR more graphic than this.
FYI: ICE CREAM was filmed in 2020 during the covid lockdown, Selena had to film her part separately as she has lupus, which is an autoimmune disease and was unable to travel. They did make a lyric video together, making it look like a Zoom call!
Oh wow...now that you mention it, we didn't see them in any scenes together. The video moves from scene to scene so fast it still flowed well with them being in different places.

It was suggestive as heck, though. LOL
Have to disagree about that last part. It’s one of the filthiest (in the best possible way) songs ever written, disguised as an innocent bubblegum pop summer bop. There is nothing pure about this track. It only gives the illusion of being “PINK”... but they certainly aren’t singing about ice cream.

I sometimes get the feeling Western artist colabs are just a tactic to get a new audience, maybe it seems like they don't actually know or appreciate the KPop groups outside of the performance. But if you listen to Selena talk about how she loves BP and wishes she could be the 5th member, I believe her.
ICE CREAN is like a version of a BLACKPINK from another universe because its suggestive lyrics are not characteristic of the group, however with the passage of time it has earned the affection of the group, react to BLACKPINK's collaborations with DUA LIPA and LADY GAGA are iconic for both BLACKPINK and LADY GAGA and DUA LIPA, since they were the ones who sought out BLACKPINK to sing with them.
I lost my dad last year and with the holidays and his anniversary falling at the aame time I've been really missing him. Coming here for a reaction is like having a set of Blink parents and it really helps me center myself and breathe through ut all. Love all your reactions, thank you for making our day better!

This video and song were a bit much the first times I saw it. I remember a good behind the scenes video for this shoot where they were playing with the toy cars and the set. Jennie talks a bit about getting a Capybara included and getting to see them. In general, there is tons of media for each KPop group, if you end up with extra time.

They did not even make this MV together they filmed Black Pink parts and Selena parts separately in different countries (South Korea and the US) and While the full group hadn't met Selena Gomez, members Jisoo and Rosé met her at the COACH Spring/Summer 2019 Fashion Show in New York.
Selena did not meet BP as a full group until 2 years after they had made the song :)

BUT if you do, please be prepared for the (REALLY STUPID) hate-train. There is a 'fan war' between SOME BLINKS and SOME ARMY (that is what BTS fans are called). Not every real fan is involved in that stupid war but some 'fans' go at each other like religious zealots. It is SO DUMB!
The members of BP and the members of BTS actually hold each other in very high esteem, lots of respect going both ways between both groups. SOMEHOW, that fact goes over these silly fans heads... I can't figure out how the fan war even became a thing.
