Rosie' and jisoo's voices are different but amazing Rosie's angelic voice and jisoo's deep voice
Rosé is the golden voice of Korea, she has a unique vocal tone.
I describe Rose' voice as a cool summer breeze that pleasantly waffs over you and Jisoo's voice with her deeper tones as a warm blanket that you want to cocoon under.
They are just perfect together.

Blackpink attracts fans of all ages. My wife and I are hardcore blinks, attended two of their concerts on their Born Pink tour, and have a decent amount of merch including a new Funco Pop for my bias of 7+yrs Jennie (an early bd gift) . I've been to countless concerts over the decades and nothing compares to BP in energy and crowd engagement. Metlife day 1 is/was hands-down my greatest entertainment experience. Mid 60's for her, I turn 70 in Dec.

It’s always impressive to me how singers perform in languages that are not native to them. Here, these girls are singing in Japanese and English when their native tongues are Korean, English, and Thai. But they are also fluent enough to address the crowds in light conversation.

Rosé's vocal tone also got me. The only way I could explain it, is to say that her voice touches my soul. She is ridiculously talented and stunning as well. Of all the members, she has done the most musical covers and has 3 solo songs. She was on a reality show called the Sea of Hope, and did 12+ songs. She has released covers on her birthday, 11 February, for the past couple of years. So there are plenty of videos to choose from. I also enjoy watching your reactions to Blackpink.👍👍👍

I went to a Blackpink concert and was blown away by their performance. They're hands down the best girl group! Rosie is my favorite too. Not only is she an incredible singer, but she's also so relatable among all the members. Her personality is just charming - friendly and sweet like a baby offstage, yet effortlessly cool. It's hard to put into words, but there's something about her that just captivates everyone.
In Jennie's English rap, the "o" refers to the zeroes in some big number she cites as "billions" which is probably some big monetary sum that you need to talk to her "banker". Lyrics went ". . . . . Real talk, I'ma let the O's talk. You can see the billions, better call a banker"

I am over 65 and I'm a huge blink. They are incredible. They put a smile on my face for sure they are all bias wreckers. Ha ha. Beatles, Stones, Neil Young,Floyd, Skynyrd, Zepplin, all the rest I lived. It went to a lot of concerts, now blink for sure, for now.
Yes, Rosé's voice is like a punch in the feels. It's almost hard to explain, it's just high, sweet, "sincere" maybe? idk but it's very unique and affects me the same way as you. Throw her Aussie accent into the mix and I'm sure if anyone saw me watching her sing they'd see big hearts where my eyes should be lol!

BLACKPINK's band has their own BLINK following as well. They are an American band called THE BAND SIX and were handpicked years ago by G-Dragon, the leader of another huge YG group called BIGBANG. After BIGBANG stopped touring the group started playing for BLACKPINK and has been their live and touring band ever since.

Amazing! I love to see it too. I got introduced to the world of Kpop through a work colleague and at first I had such huge apprehensions at first. As someone who likes to think his a hardy man, I must confess I down the rabbit hole and I've brought my family with me. It's just so fascinating to watch other people go down the same rabbit hole. It truly is incredible how gifted these artists are, to be able to dance, sing and rap across 3 languages and to do it live with stability, control and energy. They just finished their Born Pink Tour. It will be a while for the next tour depending on contract renews.
Fair warning.., the tickets were not cheap and hard to come by. However, it was worth very penny.

music is universal, and I dont think there should be any shame in liking the music that you enjoy or that resonates with you. anyone who says it is "weird" have their own internal struggles that they are probably dealing with. blackpink makes cool hard hitting music and we can all enjoy it along with what each member brings to the table

This concert is one of the best they have recorded. They sold a DVD with the entire concert and it can be found on RUclips. Almost all the songs are sung in Japanese, a language that the four of them are quite fluent in (and english) and in my opinion, it is only surpassed by Coachella.
Yes, they have a band at their concerts which makes their live songs even better than in the studio.

I hope u can watch their concert, but they've already done the 2nd world tour and had 66 shows that started October 15, 2022, and ended September 17, 2023. In my opinion, If they do a comeback I believe they will use a year time off to do a banger song to have an intro again to their concerts and a new album for the sets they'll be doing because that's their pattern. They have so many songs in the studio, but they're just so particular with what they put out because the producers want every single thing to be a hit and just be all in a right timing. With Blackpink, sometimes they'll keep you hanging but will surprise you for sure when you least expect it. They have good branding that's why it builds loyalty over time with people.
Hopefully there will be another tour and we can see them.

Yep. Fans come from all age groups. I've been into kpop since 1996, and a Blink since day one, and I'm 55. I went to the Born Pink concert in Chicago with my daughter last November. She is a Rosé bias, and I'm a Lisa bias, but we are both OT4. You can be OT4 and still have a bias. You two are enough of a Blink now, that you should get a bbyongbong. The Blackpink lightstick.

Man, your reactions just make me smile! Did you know that they sang this song in Japanese rather than Korean ( yes, they have to know both versions of the song). Because the performance is an encore, the girls have changed into more comfortable attire rather than their usual blinged out outfits.
Rose's voice has made me cry before. She sings "Wildfire" ( which is on her official channel (Rosesarerosie)) with her playing the guitar and singing in her condo ( Seoul by the Han River) that is soulful and divine. I think you will love it.

If you like rock, you should check out some of the Coachella 2023 footage. Their concerts are done with a live band and it just hits different. We went to the Born Pink tour last year and its a spectacle and worth the money.
Didn't they know? All BLACKPINK concerts are like Rock concerts since all their music is with a live band, their official band is called THE BAND SIX and is made up of 5 members, a drummer, a bassist, a pianist, a guitarist and the sound engineer, they are all African American and have years of experience with the best groups and artists in the world.

There might not be another blackpink world tour if they don’t resign their contract. Their world tour including in the united states was over few months ago. Blackpink also headlined the finale main stage coachella 2023 in the usa few months ago too
Before Kpop was global like it is now, JAPAN was the second largest market for the Kpop industry after South Korea, so much so that Kpop groups make Japanese versions of their songs, I recommend KILL THIS LOVE ( TOKYO DOME 2020) & KISS AND MAKE UP + REALLY (TOKYO DOME 2020)
in addition BLACKPINK's concerts are with a 100% live band, something that most kpop groups do not have, even in those details BLACKPINK is superior and extraordinary.

Also a Rose' fan. Tokyo Dome is one of the largest venues to play. They say when re-entering the earth's atmosphere over Japan, the first things you recognize on land are Mt. Fuji and this giant EGG stadium. That's Tokyo Dome. It seats 55 thousand fans. But what they don't say is that up to 5 thousand more congregate around the place during events like this one. And they will screen the concert to outsiders. So Blackpink scheduled regular shows and added on shows. If you are wondering IF they possibly sold out within minutes of opening ticket sales,... have you tried to ride the subways in Japan lately?? They hire people to physically crush bodies into the train cars. The DVD of Tokyo Dome Blackpink concerts is THE DVD to have, if you want to see what their concerts are like. This group is what one original reviewer called, "4 skinny girls." How could they possibly fill the biggest stadiums on earth??? They have an unpresidented connection and interplay with their fans that has never been seen in theatrical history. Beside the fact that they are just so damn good at what they are doing. At one point, all 4 jump on a tram that drives thru the crowd as they sing a number.
They are indeed very special. We've never seen anything like them.

Yes, Blackpink has a very diverse audience.
In Korea, K-pop girl groups have always been known for having mostly fanboys, cuz they like girl groups acting cute, and Blackpink helped to break this, and is one of the few girl groups that have mostly fangirls. Also has many fan kids and seniors. I think it's cus they have a lot of attitude in lyrics and stage, and they show themselves individually. I compare them to Spice Girls, who I was also a big fan.

These girls are PERFORMERS. You'll notice that, when they don't have a set choreo to do, when they just get to run around the stage and sing, they sound fantastic, and they have SO much fun. That's why you'll get a lot of recommendations for live encore performances.
As to the contract negotiations, my background is in sales, marketing, and business analytics, including with a marketing group that worked with entertainment agencies, and I can't see any business reason for them not to renew, and I haven't seen any indication that they haven't. However, I'm not privy to any inside information, nor do I know what may be personal reasons. The word from YG is only that negotiations are going well and are ongoing. SInce their new girl group is set to debut next month, I'd expect a resolution before then, but YG is kind of odd about how they handle their P.R., so we'll see.
We are hopeful the rumors of a split are just that and will be proven wrong. Your logic makes sense. They are huge as a group, so there is no need to jeopardize that.
Love Lisa. Not saying it in a bad way. She has money. And now apparently dating a billionaire. She might not care anymore. They are still young but she has being doing this for what 13 years I think (from trainee) she really might be over it. I hope not though.

About them renewing their contract, I think it’s important to note that there is ZERO official information. Both bp and their record label are being very hush hush about it. If you have heard anything up to now, it’s 100% speculation and rumors. However, a couple of days ago, Rosie was photographed in the states sitting down at a restaurant eating a meal, and sitting across the table from her was one of the big wigs at Columbia records. Those are just the facts. I don’t know what that means or if it means anything at all, but there is photographic evidence of that happening.

Yeah we read that. We didn't realize it at the time.
the lyric is Ddu-du Ddu-du Du but the song is just titled Ddu-du Ddu-du - hence the 4 D's.
Because there is no capitalization in hangul (Korean writing) they use double consonants to emphasize sound or make a hard sound verses a soft sound. The song is literally called Do-do Do-do ..it would rhyme with saying Who do, You do (or even being lazy on the first oo and just saying d'do d'do.) You may one day hear Jennie or Rose referring to the song in a clip if you get around to a guide ;)
