"Really" is a nice song of which there are several versions in various concerts and this one, at the Tokyo Dome in front of more than 50,000 spectators, is the version that I like the most because of the arrangements that have been made to the song, especially in Lisa's raps. There is a "reagge" version, which is not bad either, but what is common in all the performances of this song is the friendliness displayed by the girls, making nice and cute games and gestures. They released a DVD of this concert and it is sung almost entirely in Japanese (a language that the four of them speak) and English. Instead of doing Jennie and Lisa's raps in Korean, they do them in English and the rest of the lyrics in Japanese. In my opinion, it is one of the best concerts that Blackpink has ever done, both for the scenery and the quality of their live voices. I'm glad they chose this version to do the reaction. "See you later" is the next song that started playing in that video. I recommend that if you are going to react to that song, you also choose the version from that same concert.
I love this! I much prefer the more natural, energetic vibe of a live performance to a highly produced, highly choreographed studio performance. It was fun for us, the viewers, even though we couldn't understand the lyrics, simply because the girls themselves were clearly having the time of their life out there in front of their adoring audience! 👍 According to Mr Google, The Tokyo Dome's audience capacity is 55,000, and it looked as if every seat was filled...
Excellent point! Just in this past year, they performed 70 concerts (including the Coachella, Hyde Park and Paris Gala specials) in 24 or so different countries around the world, filling many of the world's largest stadiums and arenas. Virtually everyone who went to one of their concerts had the time of their life. It was both sad and a bit comical seeing how their "enemies" (the nearly full-time "critics" who resent and hate them... mainly because of their massive success) would go online looking for fan-recorded clips of concerts and comb through every second of every bit of their concert performances looking for "mistakes" and then compile all of the "mistakes" they could find (from hours and hours of performances) into a 3-minute video which they would then claim represented how "bad" BP was at performing live in concerts. One of the funniest things is that the haters who did that were looking for moments when BP members weren't perfectly in sync in the choreography, or a member had to briefly leave the stage to make a mic adjustment or something. Those dumb compilations of mistakes were of course dishonestly presented. But most importantly, they completely missed the point of Blackpink's stage philosophy, which is to make concert-goers feel like they're at a party together with Blackpink and having a good time, playing around, vibing to the music and atmosphere, rather than being there just to watch 4 people go through one perfectly synchronized choreography after another for 2 hours like well-programmed robots.

oh most definitely, these women are sisters through and through. they've spent so much time together and have formed the healthiest relationships with each other. it is something hard to find in groups, especially female groups. so many girl groups that have crashed and burned because of issues within the group and what not. these girls work perfectly together

Yes. I think Coach and Mrs. Coach would probably get a kick out of watching/reacting to some of the short compilations that just show various funny clips of the BP members interacting with each other and with fans. They're not super polished but give a really good glimpse into the personalities and cuteness of the members and how they have a good time with each other. My recommendations would be: "someone help blackpink" ... a video edited and uploaded on Aug. 6, 2022 on the Kil Mixes channel. (I've seen other reactors react to it without any problems and Kil Mixes seems to appreciate it.) Another funny one is "Blackpink Cute and Funny Moments 2021" ... a video uploaded on July 26, 2021 on the " blackpink runner " channel.

Something you might want to do when you're reacting to a live Kpop performance is to have a lyric video cued up so that you can watch/listen to that afterwards so that you can understand what's what. With "See You Later" the lyrics are fierce, for instance. Some will have subtitles, some won't, but having that lyric video at the ready might be nice. A person who puts out some of the best lyric videos is Jaeguchi - others can be a bit iffy. A really fun reaction, thanks.

I'm multistan (Someone who listens to and likes various kpop groups) I have a playlist with over 3000 kpop songs so I've seen Fandom wars everywhere, I've seen people who just start hating this and that for little things. My first introduction to kpop was blackpink (not counting gangnam style) so they will always be my haven because they were the ones who made me endure a difficult situation (depression and suicide attempt. Rosé will always be my anchor, I love them all but Rosé has a special place in my heart. Those who don't know how to respect the decision is the taste of others don't even need to show up. As our girls say in "You Never Know" it's easier to criticize than to do.

Ver. - 2018 Arena Tour in MAKUHARI MESSE EVENT HALL ruclips.net/video/017SKv9A_1g/видео.htmlsi=hDBXPsTVEcSicFlt It has my favorite JenLisa goofy interaction. (I've seen this footage under multiple channels and they performed there Aug 24, 25, 26, but one channel listed their copy as being performed 2018.08.26). This was their first mini tour of 7 dates at arenas in 3 Japanese cities followed months later by a Kyocera Dome show (where they included some Xmas covers also worth seeing). See U Later and Really followed the So Hot remix/cover in this tour eetlist. The capacity for this arena in Chiba, Japan is max 9,000 so much smaller than the dome shows of around 50K give or take. SO WHAT MAKES THE MAKUHARI MESSE VIDEO WORTH SEEING IMO? In songs without elaborate set choreography like Really and See U Later is where the ladies get more playful and silly with their antics as you may have noticed. These parts of the concert change up the members' interactions a bit with every show (like the acceptance or playful rejection of affection between members) and this particular show has a moment that has lived rent-free in my head since I saw it years ago and have rewatched dozens of times since. It's one of my favorite BLACKPINK concert moments ever (BLINK since early 2017 when I got back into Kpop and they quickly became my favorite group). During Jisoo's line late in the song: "Goodbye baby 내가 니 곁에 있었을 때 잘하지 왜 Why you wanna go and do that do that why" something magically silly happens that I've only seen from this show (maybe they did similar things during other shows I haven't seen footage of) and no it's not Jisoo shaking her booty after singing (which gets some fans attention), because I was as oblivious to that going on as were JenLisa too busy cracking up at their own silly ad lib(?): Lisa kisses her gloved hand and passes the kiss to Jennie who unexpectedly takes the invisible kiss and winds up slow motion like she's pitching it as a baseball into the fans in the audience. I'm sure some fans out in the stands would've been happy to catch this discarded invisible kiss if Jennie didn't want it. There is a sorta similar moment at the 190424 show in Chicago where Lisa mimics pulling out her heart, handing it to Jennie and she seems to briefly clutch it to her chest and throws ot towards the audience (high quality fancam by theultimatedodo). If they're ever vaguely 'in your area', go see BLACKPINK live. I saw the In Your Area tour in Newark day 2 (Dua Lipa surprised fans singing KAMU with them on day 1) which thankfully was added later and still had pretty decent seats at not too awful prices $140 after TM fees to be about 14 rows up from corner of the forward stage. When BLACKPINK is NOT really IN YOUR AREA and you have to spend $800 for plane ticket / concert ticket / 5 t-shirts and a ver.1 lightstick...but it was worth it staying up all night at the airport waiting for an early flight home, holding a plastic bag at airport and as my carry-on with $200 of concert merch so noone might walk off with it. BLACKPINK was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to and back in the early 1990s I used to see maybe 2-3 concerts a month including White Zombie 5 times when they toured the La S. album for 2 years. Lollapalooza 2 & 3, Lush, Pearl Jam, Live, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana/The Breeders, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Chemlab, Ministry, TKK, Tool, Radio Iodine, Ethyl Meatplow, Prick, Metallica, Megadeath, GnR, Fishbone, Living Colour, Faith No More, Helmet, Quicksand, Veruca Salt, Orbital, MBM, Depeche Mode x2, Switchblade Symphony x2, some other industrial and goth bands, etc. I missed the Born Pink 2022 US arena tour and 2023 stadium encore thanks to health issues, location and rising prices of concert tickets. Would've been even more heartbroken if I'd missed them sing THE HAPPIEST GIRL (tied as my #1 song of 2022 along with PURPLE KISS - CURSOR 빈틈 which was written by former YG TRAINEE Chaein), during their setlist but they didn't, maybe because it's a bit slow and melancholy and might be hard to sing after dancing, hard to find a good place for in the program.
If there is ever an opportunity for us to realistically go to one of their concerts, it's definitely happening. Yes, the See U Later is from this same concert as several suggested that. Seems sort of like the Queen reactions we do, where their fans all have different live versions they like best. We'll undoubtedly watch as much as possible over time, even if not all of them in reactions and just on our own time. Many thanks for the comment!

Yes. I think Coach and Mrs. Coach would probably get a kick out of watching/reacting to some of the short compilations that just show various funny clips of the BP members interacting with each other and with fans. They're not super polished but give a really good glimpse into the personalities and cuteness of the members and how they have a good time with each other. My recommendations would be: "someone help blackpink" ... a video edited and uploaded on Aug. 6, 2022 on the Kil Mixes channel. (I've seen other reactors react to it without any problems and Kil Mixes seems to appreciate it.) Another funny one is "Blackpink Cute and Funny Moments 2021" ... a video uploaded on July 26, 2021 on the " blackpink runner " channel.

When in Japan most of the Korean verses are being sung in Japanese and the raps are in English.
Something you might want to do when you're reacting to a live Kpop performance is to have a lyric video cued up so that you can watch/listen to that afterwards so that you can understand what's what. With "See You Later" the lyrics are fierce, for instance. Some will have subtitles, some won't, but having that lyric video at the ready might be nice. A person who puts out some of the best lyric videos is Jaeguchi - others can be a bit iffy. A really fun reaction, thanks.

My first introduction to kpop was blackpink (not counting gangnam style) so they will always be my haven because they were the ones who made me endure a difficult situation (depression and suicide attempt.

(I've seen this footage under multiple channels and they performed there Aug 24, 25, 26, but one channel listed their copy as being performed 2018.08.26). This was their first mini tour of 7 dates at arenas in 3 Japanese cities followed months later by a Kyocera Dome show (where they included some Xmas covers also worth seeing). See U Later and Really followed the So Hot remix/cover in this tour eetlist. The capacity for this arena in Chiba, Japan is max 9,000 so much smaller than the dome shows of around 50K give or take.
SO WHAT MAKES THE MAKUHARI MESSE VIDEO WORTH SEEING IMO?
In songs without elaborate set choreography like Really and See U Later is where the ladies get more playful and silly with their antics as you may have noticed. These parts of the concert change up the members' interactions a bit with every show (like the acceptance or playful rejection of affection between members) and this particular show has a moment that has lived rent-free in my head since I saw it years ago and have rewatched dozens of times since. It's one of my favorite BLACKPINK concert moments ever (BLINK since early 2017 when I got back into Kpop and they quickly became my favorite group).
During Jisoo's line late in the song:
"Goodbye baby 내가 니 곁에 있었을 때 잘하지 왜 Why you wanna go and do that do that why"
something magically silly happens that I've only seen from this show (maybe they did similar things during other shows I haven't seen footage of) and no it's not Jisoo shaking her booty after singing (which gets some fans attention), because I was as oblivious to that going on as were JenLisa too busy cracking up at their own silly ad lib(?): Lisa kisses her gloved hand and passes the kiss to Jennie who unexpectedly takes the invisible kiss and winds up slow motion like she's pitching it as a baseball into the fans in the audience. I'm sure some fans out in the stands would've been happy to catch this discarded invisible kiss if Jennie didn't want it.
There is a sorta similar moment at the 190424 show in Chicago where Lisa mimics pulling out her heart, handing it to Jennie and she seems to briefly clutch it to her chest and throws ot towards the audience (high quality fancam by theultimatedodo).

I saw the In Your Area tour in Newark day 2 (Dua Lipa surprised fans singing KAMU with them on day 1) which thankfully was added later and still had pretty decent seats at not too awful prices $140 after TM fees to be about 14 rows up from corner of the forward stage. When BLACKPINK is NOT really IN YOUR AREA and you have to spend $800 for plane ticket / concert ticket / 5 t-shirts and a ver.1 lightstick...but it was worth it staying up all night at the airport waiting for an early flight home, holding a plastic bag at airport and as my carry-on with $200 of concert merch so noone might walk off with it. BLACKPINK was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to and back in the early 1990s I used to see maybe 2-3 concerts a month including White Zombie 5 times when they toured the La S. album for 2 years. Lollapalooza 2 & 3, Lush, Pearl Jam, Live, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana/The Breeders, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Chemlab, Ministry, TKK, Tool, Radio Iodine, Ethyl Meatplow, Prick, Metallica, Megadeath, GnR, Fishbone, Living Colour, Faith No More, Helmet, Quicksand, Veruca Salt, Orbital, MBM, Depeche Mode x2, Switchblade Symphony x2, some other industrial and goth bands, etc.
I missed the Born Pink 2022 US arena tour and 2023 stadium encore thanks to health issues, location and rising prices of concert tickets. Would've been even more heartbroken if I'd missed them sing THE HAPPIEST GIRL (tied as my #1 song of 2022 along with PURPLE KISS - CURSOR 빈틈 which was written by former YG TRAINEE Chaein), during their setlist but they didn't, maybe because it's a bit slow and melancholy and might be hard to sing after dancing, hard to find a good place for in the program.
If there is ever an opportunity for us to realistically go to one of their concerts, it's definitely happening. Yes, the See U Later is from this same concert as several suggested that. Seems sort of like the Queen reactions we do, where their fans all have different live versions they like best. We'll undoubtedly watch as much as possible over time, even if not all of them in reactions and just on our own time. Many thanks for the comment!
