You guys have to remember that most of the energy of the 3 ZPMs was drained when they used the wormhole drive. As far as I have learned from various sources (episodes, forums, stargatewiki etc.) the Atlantis shield will hold against any attack as long as enough energy is channeled to the shield. It's not the same with Ori shields, for them, you'll need a weapon which can penetrate the shields. We don't know whether or not the superhives weapons could do this- Maybe it could, maybe not.
First 2 songs are from the Children of Dune soundtrack. 0:00-0:48 = Brian Tyler - War Begins 0:49-1:41 = Brian Tyler - Summon the Worms. Next two are from the Pirates soundtrack. 1:42-3:18 = Barbossa is Hungry 3:19-5:36 = He's a Pirate. Next one is from the Meta Gear Solid 3 soundtrack. 5:37-6:27 = On the Rail Bridge. Next is from the Armageddon soundtrack. 6:28-8:03 = Rockstorm. Last two are from the 300 soundtrack. 8:04-9:13 = Tyler Bates - Fever Dream 9:14-9:50 = Tyler Bates - The Hot Gates
Stargate, is the best Sci-Fi programme. It´s really original and the actions happen with the actual tecnology and the tecnology human can steal. It´s simply the best.
Probably THE best stargate Vid ive seen, despite the latter half (post Korelev destruction footage) was not as great, the piece overall is fantastic. I love how you managed to put the POTC music in, as it does go nicely with Science fiction. When i can, i hope to make something like this myself. Congratulations Bobsmoot723!
Excellent mix, and selection of music to boot! Stargate's come a long way from four schmucks looking for new planets to cause trouble on and taking on alien warlords with P-90's...
They sacrificed their shields for a ship with a very resistant hull not to mention the fact that it can heal itself. Although you are correct, the Ancients only got beaten through being outnumbered and because they didn't want to use drastic measures such as Janus's "aterro device" and his time machine.

Yeah, that's true, not to mention all the pit stops they have to make when traveling in hyperspace. Although, with a zpm to power the hive it can grow to a "super-hive" as seen in the last episode of season 5. Now, that ship is a mean killing machine.
It's amazing when you go from the movie to now and to see how much has changed. I mean were almost in Star Trek territory at this point. Be nice if eventually the SG program was made public.
my favourite attle bso far is the first time the ori came through the supergate. i wonder wut happened to that asgard ship that was fighting in that battle.
i know it has probably been asked 1000 times but wat is the title of the opening piece of music? i recognise it from somewhere but can't remember where that is :P AWESOME video btw.....SG is THE show for space battles and u showed us that :P
First, I've never seen you point it out before(I didn't look through all comments). Second, I know that. That was the point I was trying to make. As far as we know, the Atlantis shield doesn't fluctuate or fail in any way as long as enough energy is channeled to it. But that is as far as we know. That was the point I was trying to make, that from what we have seen, the Ori shields and Atlantis's shield don't work in exactly the same way(similar perhaps, but we can't know for sure).
yes the do because of the speed there fired at thats why the do 10X more damage the anything thats of the same size yes they might not do alought of damage to shilds but they do some depending on how strong the shild is and how fast it regens
@Dalbert342 good point m8, but the ancients did not have beaming technology, and the asgard did have a large number of ships and an empire that stretched over an entire galaxy, all we saw of the asgard was when they where in the milky way galaxy, the only time we ever saw the asgard in there home galaxy was in the episode where o'neil travels to thier home planet when he has the knowledge of the ancients downloaded into his brain the first time.
yeah the jaffa should definetly invent a new type of ship that is distictly their style. It should combine old gou'ald technology and some stuff from the tauri.
Surley space battles would be fought over millions of miles of space due to the fact theres no gravity and missles/artillery could traver forever, not knocking the video its great just wanna know if this would be the case =)
@Rayle75 remember star trek was made YEARS before this and you can see the evolution of special effects in the series too. Stargate could use startrek's errors to not make them themselves. Besides computers can do allot more nowadays.
@angrykid616 Actually the shields of Anubis' mothership were Goa'uld, they were just upgraded with Ancient knowledge whereas the Atlantis shield was designed to protect the city ship on a planet in atmosphere. The design of the city is evidence of that.
Well, apparently the wraith were skilled enough (or the Ancients just too overconfident) to get a couple of ZPMs during the war. But yes, true, one ship isn't much, not against the ancients. Although a few more can do considerable damage. It's pretty much only drones(of all the weapons) which can do some proper damage to the ship from the outside. And yes, the ship got destroyed.
hey one thing that i was wondering, can the earth humans make their own energy weapons on their ships? because they looked like machineguns at one time and beams at another
@Rayle75 These clips are from 2006-2007ish. The latest Star Trek series: Star Trek: Enterprise aired 2003-2004. The 3D modelling and animation industry can progress alot in 3-4 years.
well the rail guns will all so do damage to any type of shield system remember the huge slugs about half the size of a car the shooting even the orei ships take damage from them there a very good all around weapon
What was that ship at 2:39 landing on Atlantis? And what is the episode? It doesn't look exactly like a Dartfighter,so it would be a kind of shuttle right?
hai me again. can someone explain to me in the last scenes of this video why the humans ship or aztec ship is able to destory the ori's ships so easily?
I'm sure the results would have been the same, but the Ori would have come before the Wraith war. The Ori and Alterans lived together, then the Alterans left and became the Ancients in the Milky Way, then they went to Pegasus and thats when the Wraith war happened.
@Mentle11 That's a funny question! I doubt, anyone ever mentioned where all the missed shots went! Not just in SG1, but any sci-fi! What if they hit a peaceful trading ship many solar systems away? Or even a planet, if it's an energy shot? (Rockets would possibly burn at a planet with air)
Though the Explosions sucked, there will now be lots of Ori debris to pick up. I feel sorry for the Jaffa and how they do not have their own warships, they have to use the old Gou'ald Motherships.
The size of a ship does not mean More advanced.. just that the building of those ships probably got bigger supporting shipyards, and the fact that Hive ships also serves as population centers (aka Motherships) in contrast to Odyssey and Daedalus that are purely warships. And Tau'ri were actually more advanced then the Wraith already at their entrance into Pegasus, just that the Wraith were unknown and possessed much greater numbers.
well id have to say after a long time if at full shilds yes and yes they word do some damage but once again to penetrate the hull it word take time unless they hit a soft spot and the ori ship have many just look at the way there are made the hole rear is a soft target
Well, to answer question it would be nice to know what do you understand by "battle". This is mix of many of best scenes from 12 years of the show, from three different parts of story, two TV series. Normally they are short ones, because SG does not have big budget. But yeah, in comparison to ST they are fighting all the time. In SGA every season they are at least 2-3 battles. In SG-1 since season 6 also.
What are you talking about? The Asgard Shield held on for so long in the arc of truth, with the ZPM powering it.. It took a beating. And the Beam weapons made quick work of there ships. the only reason they could not take on the Ori was because they were dying and were still rebuilding there world from the Replicator attacks. By the looks of how the Ody took out those ships I say a fleet of O'neil classes would have taken care of any Ori threat. (shipwise anyway)
Silverish colour? For me, the Ori shield is light blue, and the Atlantis shield pretty much has no colour. However, you are correct that they both don't let energy bleed through and that they both have large amounts of energy at their disposal. However, the mere fact that the asgard beam can make the shield fluctuate and cut through, suggests that the reason no energy is bleeding through is beacuse the Ori shield is so incredible advanced. However, you may be right that they are a bit similar.
yo duuuude tht was an amazing vid. and amazing song choice if i give you ma email will you please email me the songs that you used??? please say yes hehe

Best combination of music. Most of the music flowed together like it was all one song. Great timing with the scenes of the vid clips too!
OH MY GAWD!!!!! That was epic!!! I loved it man. Space battles are always best looking. love it!!
Beautiful..... there is no better way to describe it

Clever choice of music when that city rose out of the water.
Wow , great video !!and the music is perfect with it !!
Stargate, is the best Sci-Fi programme. It´s really original and the actions happen with the actual tecnology and the tecnology human can steal.
It´s simply the best.
Wow. Great Job! I love this compilation.
excellent blending of the music and the video was just plain immense. Great job.
WOHOOO incredibly cool fights :D
1 word... GENIUS
Awesome video !! Awesome music !!

Super...Just super video!
Excellent mix, and selection of music to boot! Stargate's come a long way from four schmucks looking for new planets to cause trouble on and taking on alien warlords with P-90's...
NOW this is how a video is suposed to be like. great action good music. and very good skills by its creator. reps for you.
Nice one, very nice ^^ 5/5
nice video!
The pirates of the Caribbean music went beautifully with the rising of Atlantis.
good video ^^
Niiiiice! favorited and 5/5*
Super video
Yeah! thanks for your kind and well informed update, I will keep that in mind every time I'll have to go on a trip out space.
Making friends, uh?

NICEE VIDEO 10/10
thanks
i dont know how many of you have seen that "stargate universe" series but i wonder how good the weapons on that ancient ship were.
They do call them plasma beam weapons in several episodes, which is a quite specific term.
It's amazing when you go from the movie to now and to see how much has changed. I mean were almost in Star Trek territory at this point. Be nice if eventually the SG program was made public.
It would be awesome :D
I love it
you are a genious.
he would be one big force to deal with!!!
gd thinking
yes he did
if you mean the Ori than yes, the ships that kind alooked like a hollowed out circle
we shall find out in April!
The Odyssey was outfitted with the lastest Asgard Weapons. This was as they were about to kill themselves.
my favourite attle bso far is the first time the ori came through the supergate. i wonder wut happened to that asgard ship that was fighting in that battle.
Which is better
Stargate space battles
Star Trek space battles
or
Starwars Space Battles
I say, Stargate space battles are the best
i know it has probably been asked 1000 times but wat is the title of the opening piece of music? i recognise it from somewhere but can't remember where that is :P
AWESOME video btw.....SG is THE show for space battles and u showed us that :P

Your right, Those ships belong to the ori. I've seen nearly every episode of the series. In many ways this is better that star trek and star wars.
Alright i've found the name of the Pirates of the Caribean song "He's A Pirate", i'll find the other one soon enough
yes the do because of the speed there fired at thats why the do 10X more damage the anything thats of the same size yes they might not do alought of damage to shilds but they do some depending on how strong the shild is and how fast it regens
wonder whats the title of the last song, i just love it, could anyone tell me?
what i would love to see is an Ancient(Alteran) ship against one of those Ori ones..
@Dalbert342 good point m8, but the ancients did not have beaming technology, and the asgard did have a large number of ships and an empire that stretched over an entire galaxy, all we saw of the asgard was when they where in the milky way galaxy, the only time we ever saw the asgard in there home galaxy was in the episode where o'neil travels to thier home planet when he has the knowledge of the ancients downloaded into his brain the first time.
best video bar none really liked the F-302s and atlantis rising and the begining
nice music
i wounder how well that souped up hive from the last ep. of Atlantis would do against an ori ship?
and if I am not mistaken unless its those asgard anti ori lasers, the ori shields would hold as long as there prier is alive and in there chair.
@playwithursoul That, my friend, would be Stargate Atlantis Episode 'First Strike'.
My mistake...I was basing my answer off of the instrumentation rather than looking at the compilation list.
if you can put the Music tot he Video it would be better, But you did good with this one.
What's the episodes in the end with the battles with the ori?
Am not so up to date with SG-1
with SGA it's a different story.
yeah the jaffa should definetly invent a new type of ship that is distictly their style. It should combine old gou'ald technology and some stuff from the tauri.

Ur right

they probly would not have won, but yes, they could keep the shields up indefinately with enough ZPMs
wait, what episode is that at 5:39? I've never seen that clip before in the shows.

Though the Explosions sucked, there will now be lots of Ori debris to pick up. I feel sorry for the Jaffa and how they do not have their own warships, they have to use the old Gou'ald Motherships.
from 8:05 is soundtrack from movie 300
nice work name of 2nd music??
um... hey tell me this. has the stargate program gone public? and do the pple know of the ships that we made?
the rail guns didnt damage the hive, they destroyed the darts and the darts exploding damaged the hive
well a head on colliaion does much but just an open explosion. a railgun = centered fire would do more.
where do you all find the video to make this?
The size of a ship does not mean More advanced.. just that the building of those ships probably got bigger supporting shipyards, and the fact that Hive ships also serves as population centers (aka Motherships) in contrast to Odyssey and Daedalus that are purely warships.

by the way its the phoenix sorry if i spelled it wrong and whats the song called
If i am recalling this right the ori ships do not run on zpms they run on the priers themselves (just pointing that out).

man i would love to see a ori mother ship against a wriath hive ship. now that would be cool.
i just want somemone else opinion ... wich is better ship the permethious or Odyssey...

Weird seeing the old sci fi logo it's now syfy
bucolomb that episode wer the earth ship pawns the ori ship is called unending
