@CobaltX07 FTL means Faster Than Light. However, every single race in the Stargate "universe" has used hyperspace(the exception being Destiny and the Blueberry Aliens). An FTL drive accelerates a ship beyond the speed of light, with a streak of light behind the Ship in question->Destiny(and Blueberry Alien motherships). Hyperspace is a region of subspace that can be accessed via a hyperdrive engine. A hyperdrive engine opens a "window" into subspace, allowing a ship to travel through subspace.
@StargateFan4 you should see the episode 9x16 of Stargate SG-1 again. You'll see during the briefing in the Odyssey that the ship is a Deep Space Carrier Class (Behind Col. Emerson). So the correct designation of the ship is DSC-304.

cold fusion is impossible. we have to perfect nuclear fusion technoogy in the next few decades, than we will be able to build tokamak reactor equipped ships with magnetoplasma engines. With rotating sections or superconductor magnets rotated by extremely high speeds even artificial gravity could be created. the next 100 hundred years will be interesting I'd say.

Not really the stargate belongs to the Russians and they will get the final blueprints of each ships. that includes all the upgrades. Also the Replicator problem, yes they will be floating in space, but we do not know of any other race people people with spaceships apart from the travelers, wraith and humans from earth but we have heard about other races from the replicator weir. However, the chances of them finding a replicator is what 1 in a trillion even more most likely.
Give a couple of billion dollar and is posible to build one, i dont know if i could get you to another star with in a couple of hours. maybe antimatter engine could do the trick,,jijiji
