I don't understand why everyone always says Shirou is messed up / mentally whacked whatever. Okay he's stupid and reckless. But he's right. I think his ideals are good and valuing other people is good and right. Preference utilitarianism all the way.
Because reading the visual novel, he has no sense of self preservation at all. He only places value in the ideals he holds and the things he considers the most valuable. Or atleast that is how it is at the beginning of the story. With Shirou throughout each route, he begins to believe in other things outside of blindly following Kiritsugu's dream without meaning.. Like Arturia's ideals of true justice, defining his belief, or letting go of it to protect Sakura
There was a scene in the latest episode of UBW in which Caster tells Shirou that he can have his guardian/sister back if he gives her his right arm (like literally cut it off and gave it to her), to which he didn't even hesitate. He literally does not care what happens to him at all.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨Ʒ He's been described as a distortion if I remember correctly. He basically has no sense of self because he was influenced by Kiritsugu, who was a distortion himself, and he most likely feels guilt for surviving the fire caused by the fourth grail's destruction by Kiritsugu and Arturia. The placement of Avalon inside Shirou probably affected him as well in what it represents, "the ideal utopia". Arturia is similar to the both of them in that she has no sense of self either. All three desperately try to deny human nature in their goals and ideals. In all three cases in terms of their childhoods, they were estranged from their true flesh and blood families in some way or another, and they have these beliefs in childhood that permanently stick to them because of some significant event. The event with Arturia being obvious as well as Shirou's. In Kiritsugu's case, he had a childhood friend who was a non-magus that was actually apprenticed by Kiritsugu's father Norikata Emiya. She died because she stole and drank a from vial that contained Norikata's experimental Dead Apostle formula in a misguided belief that it was safe for testing. Kiri killed her himself, and she had been talking to him about the typical childish dreams of being a hero that he started to build his misguided ideals on it in order to stop meaningless deaths like hers. Towards the end of his life, he started to behave like EMIYA (Archer) in a way that he became cynical and understood that his ideals were not perfect and had the opposite results usually.
Ok..How does that stone-sword of Hercules manage to survive clashes with Excalibur? According to the writers its just some stone from Hercules tomb that was fashion into a weapon. But it is by no means magical and should have shattered on the first blow.
leave the excalibur aside, how Hercules stone-axe survive while berserker swing it. i belive the answer is it's not regular rock-axe weapon after all. it's wild, true, and the answer may be that every weapon Hercules touch will become sacred since he's half god.. its my theory
Let's see .. Berserker: Strength: A+ Endurance: A Agility: A Magical Energy: A Luck: B NP: A Skills: Battle Continuation: A Mind of Eye (Fake): B Saber: Strength: B Endurance: C Agility: C Magical Energy: B Luck: B NP: C / A++ / EX (Caliburn / Excalibur / Avalon) Skills: Instinct: A Magical Energy Burst: A Her Magical Energy Burst allowed her to fight Berserker even though she is only a girl of small size. The unidentified axe-sword he used was also the catalyst he used. It's not an ordinary stone-made axe-sword.
lol cool ty accelerator, it gives a nice explain but what i meant was - berserker axe arnt mythology or magical weapon, its not a weapon with any special name... its just axe build from strong enough material (even mythical material), all the rest is berserker great power.
+Tony Malacara This is UBW. Fate Stay Night has 3 stories. Fate, UBW, and Heaven's Feel. And UBW has had two adaptions, this movie by studio DEEN was first, then Ufotable's adaption as a full anime series.
***** Well yeah, in general adaptions tend to not be very accurate in favor of trying to make their own thing. But DEEN's adaptions were below average even at the time of their release, never mind the fact that its been a while.
+MrInuhanyou123 Any Fate route being a movie is a bad idea. Not enough time to really show the story. That's why HF is going to be a disaster. The longest route being made into a movie. Zero anime was a very good adaption from the Zero novel though. I thought Archer vs Shirou was very well done in the UBW movie though. The only problem is Archer didn't hesitate like he did in the VN, and it looked like Shirou actually bested him. They made Shirou vs Gilgy more accurate though in the movie. Not like in the anime where he's bunny hopping and doing backflips and jumping 50 ft high in the air and crap.
Analyn Rockbell Yeah if he was summoned in the Saber or Archer classes then he would have actually been stronger than he is but he hardly get's any bonuses from being summoned as a Berserker and he can't use his other Noble Phantasm
True, but even though it wasn't really made clear in this form of the medium, Berseker being insane was depicted as more of a horrifying thing in the VN. Like his very presence was Rage incarnate. An unstoppable unfeeling juggernaut, that no mortal could face and expect to live... like his rage itself was a weapon. That was why everyone shit themselves when Gilgamesh was like "LOLGATEOF BABLYONBEEYACHES@KING" This movie didn't really show that very well. But yeah, in terms of practicality, Heracles/hercules would probably have been better in the Saber class.
If he would have been summonned as Archer, Gilgamesh wouldn't have underestimated him like he did. He would've gone all out from the very beginning. But he would've still win though.
Theearl444 Actually he would have been better as an Archer. As one of his most famous weapons is his bow and arrows, which is loaded with super-toxic blood of a hydra.
Well it's just one of the Visual Novels Arcs but it still makes sense tbh. After all Archer (as in Shirou-Archer, not Gilgamesh) became a servant because he became a heroic spirit at some point, so obviously the present Shirou had to become a hero at some point. I still think Gilgamesh was the more experienced fighter, but he underestimated Shirou (just like he underestimates every single enemy he meets) and this time it bit him in the ass. Had he realized he was basically fighting a younger version of Archer and had he not been too proud to admit a copy can be just as strong or stronger than an original he would have won, but he didn't. Really reminds me of a line from another anime. "You won't win because you're strong, you're strong because you win." Even if Gilgamesh had way more potential and experience he was the less capable fighter because his pride got in the way. So far the only enemy Gilgamesh did not underestimate was Fate/Zero Rider a.k.a. Iskandar and we all now how that fight ended.
ok yes if we turn the story like this then yes shirou is an archer and archer can defeat gilgamesh and blah blah.. its just not suppose to happend... there so many places that it was so more reliable that gilgamesh could lose, in fate zero he had few enemies who did better then shirou and yes he barly swet. to think shirou can defeat gilgamesh just becouse i can find logic to me is semiliar to saber win the whole war in one noble phantasam while the excalibur hitting the servants 1 after 1 in line (lets say the was stand in line) and she win the war by killing they all.. some will say her noble phantasam wont reach to all of them, some will say they wont be fool enough to stand and wait to die. but if i turn all the world for my logic it can happend no one know how strong the excalibur is. is the most powerfull magical item in myth after all... shirou beat gilgamesh in the movie or even what he done to berserker in the series arnt reliable even abit. he learned to fight like how much... 3 days? he learned to controll magic items like 0 days.. i accept he's poor little magic can grow and summon a damn strong items but they didnt gave him a limit for that too.. in alchemy when u gain something u need to lose something too.. there was so much shit about shirou that i can say "they could explain it so it make sense" guess i made my point didnt i? :X
how about you just search shirou vs gilgamesh game, there will be explanation why shirou can fight gilgamesh in equal term *shirou = worst opponent for gilgamesh
drop it. its rain here and if a drop of water fall at the right time on the right place on my body, it may kills me. there's explanation for everything yet shirou and gilgamesh is such a bs. there such a different power betwin human, magician, and servant they cant realy match each other at all so i can somehow ignore rin beating madea on hand to hand fight but hell why rin wont beat gilgamesh? she was better then shirou everywhere (if the explamation why rin wont beat gilgamesh and shirou do involvse the fact shirous powers incress with excalibur shealth its true but still bs. excalibur shealth can be the most strong magical item for defence in the world (which ajax had the best defence so i heard) yet gilgamsh is 2/3 god and idk... i dont see god have any difficult against the excalibur)
Well to make it simple. There is no proof Excalibur can not defeat a Nasuverse-god. However there is proof it can defeat a Nasuverse-demigod, since Gilgamesh got his ass handed to him. It's not like the whole game/anime has to match up with your individual idea of how strong a certain weapon is. Keep in mind thise is the same world that "Kara no Kyoukai" plays in. So there is a human around that can basically kill everything (objects, humans, gods, life and death itself) without breaking a sweat. Being a god (or for that matter a demigod) does not carry much weight in the nasuverse.
Hello my friends. Can someone tell me the order of reading all the Fate Novels from the frist to the last, so I CAN FINALLY GET THE FUCKING STORY, because the anime are fucked up and not explanatory at all.
Fate/Zero is chronologically the first. Fate, UBW and Heaven's Feel are the different versions of the same story. Fate is when Shirou chooses saber as the main love interest. UBW is for Rin and Heaven's feel is for Sakura. Then after that is Fate/Hollow Atraxia.
Visually the fight is toned-down, HORRIBLY inaccurate(where's my swordspam, deen, where's calm and collected Shirou, where's SENSIBLE fighting style showcasing the speed-advantage of UBW swordsman against GOB, where's shirou and Gil drawing swords, clashing them, shattering them and drawing new ones, as thousands of them clash in the sky above them?)
I wish they kept Emotions from this movie to the anime, just about everything was awful, but character-expression and character acting(not voice acting).
well i love the vid seems kinda cool but i hate this show with all my heart needs to never existed wish fate zero was its own stand alone anime and not some back story to this trash anime
You obviously haven't read the visual novel. Without Fate/Stay Night Fate/Zero would never have existed in the first place, so at least have a bit respect for the show.
I rly enjoyed fate zero more then fate stay night as for the visual novel might try to find it just to see why every still some how thinks fate stay night is even close to decent
These FateNight stories are bullshit. The dialogue and character beliefs are so wack. Fate/Zero was the only good one. But the universe and themes are cool.
***** that'll be (mostly) from the same story as this movie. But, it'll probably be a more complete work. This movie is really just fanservice, going from fight to another with little context.
If you haven't read the Visual Novel then your opinion is invalid, the original Fate anime is terrible compared to the VN, and same for the movie. Fate/Zero was amazing and hopefully the new anime for Unlimited Blade Works will be good, as well as the Heavens Feel movie
normalguycap The Visual novel is FAR better than this rushed movie, DEEN made animation good but ruined some important fights... And FSN VN is as good as Fate Zero... The anime and movie dont give the routes justice AT ALL

Seems like the fighting is actually different in the dubbed version?
Ok..How does that stone-sword of Hercules manage to survive clashes with Excalibur? According to the writers its just some stone from Hercules tomb that was fashion into a weapon. But it is by no means magical and should have shattered on the first blow.
leave the excalibur aside, how Hercules stone-axe survive while berserker swing it.
i belive the answer is it's not regular rock-axe weapon after all. it's wild, true, and the answer may be that every weapon Hercules touch will become sacred since he's half god.. its my theory
Let's see ..

Her Magical Energy Burst allowed her to fight Berserker even though she is only a girl of small size.
The unidentified axe-sword he used was also the catalyst he used.
It's not an ordinary stone-made axe-sword.
lol cool ty accelerator, it gives a nice explain
but what i meant was - berserker axe arnt mythology or magical weapon, its not a weapon with any special name... its just axe build from strong enough material (even mythical material), all the rest is berserker great power.
Amir .Z.
Well, to some extent it is.
It's at least darn old.
Accelerator caliburn was the sword from the stone, its invisible air for the rank C ability
"developed" is an understatement.
Wow I want seen this one
whats the song when shirou vs gilgamesh?
Who threw the dagger at the end?
Archer
This is Fate/Stay Night not UBW btw
+Tony Malacara This is UBW. Fate Stay Night has 3 stories. Fate, UBW, and Heaven's Feel. And UBW has had two adaptions, this movie by studio DEEN was first, then Ufotable's adaption as a full anime series.
+MrInuhanyou123 Both sucked and were inaccurate. *lol*
*****
That's correct. I can't really argue otherwise.
How does an anime in 2010 look this ugly was seen just stuck in 1999?
would be that, if it was properly animated and not toned down.
Where can i download any kind of anime, like this vid?
6:28.........It was much cooler with Rider
kojiro as usual arnt getting a stage..
Guys, where's lancer?
what about lancers fights
dude, Berserker would have won if illya hadn't used mad enhancement.
Illya didn't use mad enhancement. That's what makes berserker a berserker, It's a part of the class.
Analyn Rockbell
Yeah if he was summoned in the Saber or Archer classes then he would have actually been stronger than he is but he hardly get's any bonuses from being summoned as a Berserker and he can't use his other Noble Phantasm
Lancer vs Archer?
that was not originally in UBW, that was in Fate
They fought outside of Kotomine's church too.
I have it uploaded on my channel though, feel free to come by and watch it! (Not advertising in anyway here)
Fucking shiro
np
damn how they dare to do this to gilgamesh
makes him so lame and lose to shirou.
all the sense of the world broken in front of my eyes
3 days? he learned to controll magic items like 0 days.. i accept he's poor little magic can grow and summon a damn strong items but they didnt gave him a limit for that too.. in alchemy when u gain something u need to lose something too.. there was so much shit about shirou that i can say "they could explain it so it make sense"
guess i made my point didnt i? :X
how about you just search shirou vs gilgamesh game, there will be explanation why shirou can fight gilgamesh in equal term
*shirou = worst opponent for gilgamesh
drop it.
its rain here and if a drop of water fall at the right time on the right place on my body, it may kills me. there's explanation for everything yet shirou and gilgamesh is such a bs.
there such a different power betwin human, magician, and servant they cant realy match each other at all so i can somehow ignore rin beating madea on hand to hand fight but hell why rin wont beat gilgamesh? she was better then shirou everywhere
(if the explamation why rin wont beat gilgamesh and shirou do involvse the fact shirous powers incress with excalibur shealth its true but still bs. excalibur shealth can be the most strong magical item for defence in the world (which ajax had the best defence so i heard) yet gilgamsh is 2/3 god and idk... i dont see god have any difficult against the excalibur)
Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel is the order.
Fate/Zero is chronologically the first. Fate, UBW and Heaven's Feel are the different versions of the same story. Fate is when Shirou chooses saber as the main love interest. UBW is for Rin and Heaven's feel is for Sakura. Then after that is Fate/Hollow Atraxia.
este película no existe
Visually the fight is toned-down, HORRIBLY inaccurate(where's my swordspam, deen, where's calm and collected Shirou, where's SENSIBLE fighting style showcasing the speed-advantage of UBW swordsman against GOB, where's shirou and Gil drawing swords, clashing them, shattering them and drawing new ones, as thousands of them clash in the sky above them?)
This movie gave me cancer.
Not even Avalon can help me now.
Yeah, you should be put down.
Trollovon Flidder Ok casual
I wish they kept Emotions from this movie to the anime, just about everything was awful, but character-expression and character acting(not voice acting).
@@devilsboy88 I mean its pretty hard to cram 30 hours worth of content to a hour and 45 minutes, compared to the anime which is aeound 12 hours.
UBW movie filtering tertiaries since 2010
why does archer look diff, he looks gay.
agree. on both archers
nah giglamesh in fate zero looks pimpin. he looks like an arrogant prick but still pimp.
well i love the vid seems kinda cool but i hate this show with all my heart needs to never existed wish fate zero was its own stand alone anime and not some back story to this trash anime
You obviously haven't read the visual novel. Without Fate/Stay Night Fate/Zero would never have existed in the first place, so at least have a bit respect for the show.
meh herd about that still don't rly care since it seems like fate zero even better then stay night
zakery land How can you say it's better when you never have read it?
I rly enjoyed fate zero more then fate stay night as for the visual novel might try to find it just to see why every still some how thinks fate stay night is even close to decent
plus shiro was so full of crap every time he spoke my god >____<
These FateNight stories are bullshit. The dialogue and character beliefs are so wack. Fate/Zero was the only good one. But the universe and themes are cool.
The thing is, I don't know what that really means. Are they known for these things?
***** that'll be (mostly) from the same story as this movie.
But, it'll probably be a more complete work. This movie is really just fanservice, going from fight to another with little context.
If you haven't read the Visual Novel then your opinion is invalid, the original Fate anime is terrible compared to the VN, and same for the movie. Fate/Zero was amazing and hopefully the new anime for Unlimited Blade Works will be good, as well as the Heavens Feel movie
normalguycap
The Visual novel is FAR better than this rushed movie, DEEN made animation good but ruined some important fights...
And FSN VN is as good as Fate Zero... The anime and movie dont give the routes justice AT ALL
Fate zero was more badass
is it me or this is not as good as fate zero?
Just you
@@luxjam1737fate zero my fav fate
UFO Stans: Skip the 2010 UBW movie it's lacking depth...
Me: No... But actually yes. My Fate fights goes brrr... though.
i dont really like berskers design like charatcer design , in fate zero he looked better & cooler .
thats because there two different people
i know -.-
kiara rubino F/z is Lancelot and FSN is hercules.
azureknightgx yeah I haven't seen fate stay night . So I didn't realize it was two different people ._.
kiara rubino
Then why did you say I know lol?
