I really enjoy seeing youtubers making videos convincing outsiders to play DRG. It lets me discover new content creators while continuing my support for the game by watching videos about it.
Too bad my friends still aren't convinced to buy this masterpiece, even tho they all have spent quite a bit more than 5 bucks(this is how much this game costs on sale in my country) on CS:GO skins.
I have 400h now and still going up but i still keep watching ”why you should play Deep Rock Galactic“ videos cause it just keeps the flame going and makes me realize what a gem of a game this is on every single video
I remember starting a “Haunted Caves” mission and thinking: oh cool, I wonder what interesting and spooky animations I’ll see! Damn that friggen ghost.

I like that you mention that there's a text chat for precise communication, with no mention of the voice chat, possibly the least used feature in the game, because pinging stuff just works too well. Edit: and the clean overclocks not changing much about a weapon is true until you look at special powder (clean) or rj250 compound (balanced) which just turn your secondaries into crackhead traversal tools

For those about to rock and stone, we salute you! As a somewhat new player this game has been an absolute blast to learn and play with friends or with strangers, I really have fallen madly in love with this game and it's what feels like never ending grind to have all cosmetics. It has easily become my favorite multiplayer game
I love the versatility of the platform gun. My favorite technique is the pancake stack, where you stack platforms to make spots of artificial cover to hide behind or high ground to stand on
I have around 700 hrs in drg and havent regretted a single minute of it! This game is truly amazing and has SUCH a positive community. When I was new almost every player didnt hesitate to show me how things are done and let me learn and I am always happy to teach new players. This game is actually just awesome. Highly recommend :)
I'm with you on the ghost, I tried to solo fungus bog - 10 Aquarqs, 12 Gunk Seeds, Ghost, small tunnels. Constantly harassed by poison and slowing goo, frankly I could've done it with an upgraded Bosco, but I nearly had a panic attack trying to micro-manage with that stupid thing constantly chasing me.
Have you tried gosht bulk slamming? As a scout you can trick the ghost into killing bugs for you by grappling through his face and out the other side, to safety. Meanwhile the ghost of exploding past stomps the ground in anger, killing any teammate who happened to be in the wrong spot at that moment. Doing any ghost mission alone in a confined space is painful, but it can be fun in Open areas/missions like elimination or egg hunt where there are typically large rooms

I started DRG 3 days ago and I gotta say that the community is by far the most welcoming and fun I have ever seen in a game. I also have never watched as many small RUclips channels with amazing content like this one. ROCK AND STONE BROTHERS !!
The modding in DRG is absolutely crazy, I use a lot of different music mods to add more replayability because who doesn't kickass music during a swarm? People even made mods that allow more than 4 players! One of the best if not THE best community in gaming. Rock and Stone!
The only thing more nuts than the quality of this video, despite this being the second video on your channel, is the crazy increase in said quality you've made in just 10 months, keep up the good work and improvement!
It's actually only the tunnels that are procedurally generated the rooms in the caves are made from a selection of templates, the rooms however are randomly placed as well as the structures in the rooms.
DRG solves the issue I have with most PvE games. A sense of progression or lack thereof. You actually have tangible progress, cosmetics, a season pass, weekly missions also have more enticing rewards such as core matrixes. Overclocks also keep the game pretty fresh. DRG is one of the only few games like it that that actually keeps me coming back.
Glyphids might be giant apex predators who had total control of this planet before, but Dwarfs are an ancient race known for their endurance and ability to get stuff done. This is like the smartest kid in town going up against the 300 year old world champion.
About distance: Arguably, the engi should be the one with general furthest distance. Hear me out: Scout traverses the furthest, and it has a combination of both long range and short range weapons, like all classes. But scout really shines when he is able to *pick his own battles* . The scout has the power to fight very upfront because of his ability to get out of situations easily. Meanwhile, the engineer doesn't have *much* to defend himself with in close-range combat. The driller has drills that can be used as melee with vampire perk and also area short range primaries. The engineer has some really powerful weapons to be used at a distance. His sentries also can't really be placed right in front of bugs. The difference is, in my experience, that the engi needs to keep a certain distance constantly, while the scout needs to gauge situations and dramatically change distances. Obviously every class *can* fight long range and short, I'm more discussing the general best fighting style for each class and how they stand out.

I really like how the only "Pay to Play" part of the game is buying the game itself, and every other paying aspect is simply cosmetic items, but even if you don't buy any cosmetic DLC you can still really drip out your dwarf. Also it's not a nuke launcher, it's an ASPLD, AKA an Anti-Scout Projectile Launching Device.
I can see the effort you've put in this video, the editing, the memes, it's all so wonderful, please keep going like this, and you'll make it far. rock and stone!
Also, using another over clock, you can turn the driller third weapon the collete wave cooker, or as like to call it, the glorified microwave into a literal cancer ray, guess which over clock I’m talking about
@@pete5516 The Shellback might be some sort of crustacean thing, given the Dwarves call it a "space lobster," though I wouldn't rely on the Dwarves for being smart... but it _is_ based off a pillbug, which is a crustacean, so who knows? Most of the bugs look very fleshy on most of their bodies, however. Suggesting they have a skeleton underneath their armor. God knows what they are. Probably just some mish-mash of various scary bug traits and horror movie "alien bug" tropes.
Almost 1k hours and 400+ levels into DRG and I still can't get enough of seeing other people's takes on it. This video is an absolutely fantastic introduction to the game!

I swear to god if I hear another review rave about how amazing the game is that it's all randomly generated when really it's procedurally shuffled tilesets -- nice tilesets! well-made and nicely varied tilesets! but PRE-MADE CAVE TILES in a *randomly generated* ARRANGEMENT-- I think I'm gonna firebomb a server center.
