You’re the man! I just got home from a 12 hour shift feeling defeated and saw my break light went out. I have a road trip tomorrow starting at 5 am, this video was just what i needed.
Good job posting this instruction 3 years before I needed it. My 2007 just burned out the passenger side far right bulb. I replaced all 6. Both sides outside bulb had most burn marks while the center bulbs still looked very clean and newish. 15+ years these Sylvania’s really are long lasting…
Mine has 6 all together. I replaced all 6. 2007 mustang, they lasted 15+ years before one went out. Sylvania is what Ford put in it in 2006 so Sylvania is what I replaced them with…
Thank you so much for posting this. My dealer gave me the one bulb I needed and it took me all of five minutes after watching this a couple of times to swap out the far left rear bulb on my 05 Mustang.
It was six months ago, so I don't remember it's part code, but it was just a standard bulb from my Ford dealer parts department. One bulb with no packaging.
Hello again, I just wanted to come back and say that I went out Saturday morning to “attempt” to replace two bulbs in the tail light of my 05 Mustang. The only thing I struggled with was taking the bolts off and the reason being was because I didn’t have the right tool, LOL. But everything else went perfectly!! I now have a working tail light and turn signal! Thank you so much, again!! 😊
I use my blinkers a lot to try to avoid accidents so mine go out from time to time, so this video has saved me from having to pay that fee when I bring my car in. Much appreciated sir
I'm starting to think I should take videos of all the lights functioning correctly when I get a car. On my 07, both the middle signal bulbs went out, but the outside bulbs were fine, so I though the bulbs that should be running were working as expected. One of the bulbs was partially working, because of the dual filaments, which eventually helped me track down the bulbs as the issue, when I noticed the two rear sides had different bulbs lit when I unlocked the car with the fob. It was really easy to follow the instructions in this video for the replacement, though. Thanks!
My boy and I just bought him an 05. All but 2 are out so. THANK YOU for this video. Going to save me a LOT of time from having to try and figure it out..
Thank u so much i needed this video bcz I’m having problem with my gt mustang back signal light issue I didn’t know how to change thank u your video help a lot I can change by myself now
Excellent video and will do it on my "06" Stang very shortly since 4 bulbs burned out recently. Now, my question is will the 4057LL bulb is compatible?? Just wondering. Thank you in advance.
Just a couple of hopefully helpful hints. When you remove the nuts I leave them on at the last turn so that I give the housing a push without punching a hole in my hand. Then when you remove the nuts there is a rubber washer it is holding the housing in place remove them and the housing will slide right off. To put it back you can see the top two holes as you put the housing back so line those up and it is a snap.
I know it’s been a while but do you know if I can add louvers? To make the turn signals blink once at a time or would I have to buy whole new taillights with the louvers?
Thank you for the video... it has helped me a lot!! May I ask, what is that plastic piece called that gets taken off, to replace the bulbs? Mine is broken and missing some of the plastic tacks or screws or whatever they are called. Thank you again!

I changed my bulb but the middle one on the left side is still not working when I turn on the blinkers. Any help? The bulb turns on but it doesn’t function when blinkers are on
I have a 2005 Ford Mustang V6 And the whole right side of the back lights don't work,I've checked the bulbs the wiring and it says something about fuses but on my vehicle I can't seem to find the fuse for the lights does this model not have a fuse for the lights
my problem.is i put new blinker lights and it still blinks fast.it is said that theres a blinker relay which i bought but dont know where exactly it goes in.i have a 2006 ford mustang
its all light up when i put on headlight but 3 of them didnt light up when i turn on right and left signal btw right signal seems to be much faster than lefy
i know its been 2 years since you posted this. but i gotta say, thanks. ya helped me avoid an embarrassing conversation with my dad.
Thanks! I'm a 70 year old woman who's husband is bed-ridden and by watching your video, I changed it myself!

This is why RUclips is the greatest invention ever. Thank you, my dude
You are a money saver. One of my turn signal lights burnt out on yesterday. I am going to replace it myself. Thank you for the video.

Great tutorial. For anyone who wants to avoid having to do this process again for as long as possible, change BOTH bulbs.
I was thinking the same thing lol. Change them both.

Thanks so much! Single gal here with no one to help. I had no idea what to do from reading the owner’s manual. 🙄 I think I can handle it now!!
Thank you so much for posting this. My dealer gave me the one bulb I needed and it took me all of five minutes after watching this a couple of times to swap out the far left rear bulb on my 05 Mustang.
What bulbs did you use? Because I bought some and changed them but they didn’t turn on

To avoid accidents I like to use the break pedal and steering wheel…
Thanks for the vid, thumbnail points directly to the light I’m having trouble with
Super helpful many years after posting thanks man!
I am an idiot and I was able to change both tail lights all by myself. Thank you for creating a short and informative video.
If you was a real “idiot” you wouldn’t of watched this video. You would of used a hammer and beat the tail lights into submission…

Just did this. Thank you for showing me how. What a pain in the butt process.
Wow every time i have an issue with my 3v, you already have a video about it. Thank you so much!
Saved me the cost of labor at the dealership! Thanks much! Super easy!
Thank you sir! Saved $50 there again!
Thank you - I just bought a '07 - I didn't have a clue.
⭐️Really appreciate you showing all your vids on how to projects … Thank you 🤩👍

Just changed them today! Thank you for this video
Best car fix-it videos - thanks!
Excellent video and will do it on my "06" Stang very shortly since 4 bulbs burned out recently. Now, my question is will the 4057LL bulb is compatible?? Just wondering. Thank you in advance.
Thank you so much! I just changed my lights. Looking into the ración gen5 and this prepared me for when I want to make that change!
I'm going to do this on my 2006 Pony Package V6 today, great video.
It was a handful of tools and done deal!
Just what I needed, thank you!
Yay i was able to change the light thanks for the video
That was a big help! Thank you

Thanks for the video..great help..... I think I'll change all the bulbs since there's so much involved .
That’s what I did, changed out all 6.
that was super easy thanks to your video thanks!
Thank you Martin.
Just watched this, have a 2008 Mustang... Now I know how to get the dang bulb out
Thank you for this video. It provided me with every detail I needed to change my rear turn signal. Worked like a charm :)
Thank you so much for this it helped a lot! Very clear and easy instructions
thanks for posting this useful video! The only question i have is, if one goes out, should i replace them all?
I would only replace the one that is out. It’s up to you.
You are AMAZING! Thank you so much.
Thanks for making this video :)
Great video. Exactly what I needed. Thank you
Thanks a lot, thank you so much
Thank you thank you thank you🙌
Thank you I seen two screws but I Know there are 3 now
What I've been doing is switching the 3rd bulb in, from left to right, with the brake light bulb. They are twin filament bulbs.
Thank you for the video... it has helped me a lot!! May I ask, what is that plastic piece called that gets taken off, to replace the bulbs? Mine is broken and missing some of the plastic tacks or screws or whatever they are called. Thank you again!

before you put back the screws you should check them up if they are working or not
Is this the same for all 3 spots on the light? My middle one is burnt out
It is the same process to remove the bulbs for all three.
Thank you!
Ahhh. Vista blue like mine! Beautiful color!
I changed my bulb but the middle one on the left side is still not working when I turn on the blinkers. Any help? The bulb turns on but it doesn’t function when blinkers are on
Are all three bulbs the same? I just wanna make sure the turn signal bulbs aren't different than the remaining brake light bulb.
They all should be the same.
Big help, thanks
I am missing the first screws you took out, I don’t know what the name of them is so I can get replacements. Help please?!?!
It is a dowel screw. Most likely 1/4” (not sure). You can get them on Amazon.
TK very help full
Thank you, but holy crap I remember when you could just open the trunk and the bulb socket was right there.
i changed my bulb and rear hazards and turn signals still arent working. does anyone know where the flasher relay is located?
Do the hand tightening fasteners from the 07-08 work on a 2005? I’m missing one and can’t find the replacement one
Yes, the 06-09 replacement fasteners available on eBay will work on the 2005.
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC thank you!
What are the clips called holding the plastic lining on?
You. An find them on AMAZON : amzn.to/49oYHmk
Rear Trim Panel Fastener Clip Screw Nut for Mustang Ford Mustang
Same👍
I have a 2005 Ford Mustang V6
And the whole right side of the back lights don't work,I've checked the bulbs the wiring and it says something about fuses but on my vehicle I can't seem to find the fuse for the lights does this model not have a fuse for the lights
There is a fuze box in the engine compartment in front of the battery. Check the owners manual to see which fuze is for the tail lights.
Does this same method work in removing the reverse light bulb
Yes, it is the same process, just different location of the bulb.
my problem.is i put new blinker lights and it still blinks fast.it is said that theres a blinker relay which i bought but dont know where exactly it goes in.i have a 2006 ford mustang
its all light up when i put on headlight but 3 of them didnt light up when i turn on right and left signal btw right signal seems to be much faster than lefy
Only two are the turn signals.
Do all 6 bulbs take the 3157 bulbs?
Yes, all six use the same bulb.
what do you do wen your lights still dont wanna come on an you bought new bulbs to replace them?
x2 I bought a pair off eBay and I’m scared it could be the harness
Go to someone who knows what they're doing...
I am a bit surprised you didn't test the new light bulb before reinstalling all the apparatus
Is it just me or is this way easier than the headlight?
It is easier than the headlights!
why is everything so frigging difficult??
what a pain in the ass to do just to swap a bulb though they should all be accessible once you pull the plastic
the video was a huge help though no doubt about it
My 16-year-old got pulled over this afternoon and given a warning because only two of the brake lights on each side light up. LOL.
good video by you, horrible design by ford.
A bit like the decision to not include a way to pop the trunk with any sort of button/lever inside the vehicle, isn't it? LOL!
7/16ths wrench...grrr...this is why I don't buy American cars. (Fixing mom's car)
Thanks for the video!!
I can't believe Ford makes it such a hassle to change the &%@# blinker bulb. WTF?
,,
Thanks!
