Its an awesome resort! I went there in October. My wife and I attended the Navy ball that was hosted by the base in Kauai. The Grand Hyatt Kauai has the most beautiful views
Thanks for activity section, I am planning to visit this year as well. However I don't have any hyatt status so will choose marriott or hilton as fees itself would suck the joy out of the trip.
always love mandy's sassy commentary 😂 i've never understood the hype of this property and still feel that way after this video, but maybe we're just spoiled by international ones. it looks pretty dated, is that accurate? nonetheless, great video as always!
Looking at maybe staying here for my honeymoon next September. Concerned about how expensive the food cost is though. I saw the price for breakfast it seemed crazy to me
Have to disagree on the boat assessment. Wife and I went with the zodiac inflatable boat with Capt Andy’s and despite how aggressive they drive them, we never felt sea sickness (and I’m prone to it). My brother and his wife had to do a catamaran because their player 3 was too young for the zodiac. They all felt sea sickness most of the ride. The zodiac also zips into some dark caves that you can’t get into otherwise. Stayed one night at the Grand Hyatt during our one week trip and really enjoyed the property. Made for a great way of relaxing after the long flights to get there. Then we switched to an Airbnb the rest of the week which worked great since we were out most of the day exploring. Definitely felt like the Grand Hyatt was nice value but I would love to try out 1 Hotel in Hanalei Bay.
Good to know! It looked like everyone on the zodiacs were having fun as well haha. We (luckily) only had 1 seasick person. Will try to convince Mandy on the zodiacs next time haha :)
It's the best "Grand Hyatt" I've been to! Can't really speak for all Hyatt corporation umbrella hotels (i.e., I'd put Ventana Big Sur above this, based off personal taste... I haven't been to PH NYC but have heard great things).
I’m really starting to enjoy these and Mandy’s vacation vlogs. Keep em coming
Glad you like them! :)
Stayed here for a couple weeks. Absolutely one of my favorite places!
Always enjoy both perspectives from you and Mandy
Thanks for watching! :)

Staying here on our honeymoon in 2 weeks thanks to Chase points. Super excited and can't wait to see this beautiful resort!
Thank you for sharing your Kauai visit. Also like your kukui nut lei. 🤙🌺
Going here for the third time this week. Ended up using a suite upgrade award... am looking forward to seeing what the standard suite looks like.🏄
Enjoy! :)
The background music selection in this video is choice

Yep, definitely fair :) I think it fares pretty well domestically but I'd rather use my points at PH Kyoto, PH Niseko, etc.

Did this as Globalist recently and blew a confirmed upgrade for a nice suite. Property is nice. Is it worthy all the hype it receives? Absolutely not.
It's good for US resort standards in its category. Much more impressive Grand Hyatts in other parts of the world.
No volcano tour or sight seeing?
There are no active volcanoes on Kauai. Did some sight seeing activities. Did you watch the video?
🏄
PK dog ✌️
Wait....did you steal Mandy's footage? 😅
Note to self: make sure Mandy doesn't wear nail polish to keep borrowing footage. haha
Ube is not taro
Yep! Good catch.
Not the best poke for sure😂
Hey Sebby, great video. Just a quick question what are the main options to do on this island other then hiking, have some mobility issues.
Boat and flight tours are good options :) Beach is also solid!
@@SebbyFung okay thanks for the info.
OK, so you put the question is it the best Hyatt in the USA but you never told us what the answer to that question is to you L O L
