So nice. I’m due for a trip to Japan. I haven’t been to Okinawa and the Mainland since I was stationed there over 30 years ago. Nice video. Have fun you three. Keep up the good work. ✌️👍🏿
I was there last month, and yes the PH was amazing. For dinner I went to Sushi Mitsukawa and the Robata, which were both top notch. A downside of the resort itself was that it would be a 1.5 hours shuttle one way to get to Annupuri from Hanazono, which is a shame because Annupuri has good slopes. Some Niseko shuttles take the Niseko United pass, others you have to pay cash (look on the side of the bus to determine which is which). In Hirafu, the public shuttle there is unreliable in terms of when they arrive..cannot count on Google maps timetable, and they run too infrequently.
My theory is that they don't actually like refilling it. Have it for convenience but with a price that you're not incentivized to buy it. They could probably 50% the price and move a ton of volume. I think dealing with an extra inventory item (when it's not your key business) is annoying. i.e., imagine they buy it wholesale / in bulk for 30 cents a can. Sell it for $2 and people will happily pay. You're making money but now that's another item housekeeping needs to refill + adds more trash + higher chance of a spill/mess. (next hotel from the trip, Ritz-Carlton, had a free mini-bar and they needed a separate cart per floor to refill everything!)
Thanks for the video here. I appreciate the full review. I’m visiting Japan in Jan 2024 with a trip to Niseko. We only have enough points to go big on either the PH niseko or the PH Kyoto. I. am leaning toward the Hilton Niseko village for that portion because there is no reasonable Hilton solution in Kyoto. Also, as an expert skier (double black) who isn’t huge on back country, it looks more centralized on the mountain and I think the PH Kyoto looks equally impressive. Ph niseko is also peak during one stay whereas Kyoto is not, so save 5k points.
Makes sense! Hilton Niseko is super convenient for your level of skiing. Basically 2 lifts to the top (Niseko Village Gondola right outside of the hotel => Wonderland Pizza Box). Check out the Ritz-Carlton Reserve video which is also in Niseko Village. Getting to the top via PH is a bit more annoying since it's over 4 lifts. Hilton food is a bit meh, so might still make sense to take the free shuttle into Hirafu for more options. I think you'll enjoy the skiing though! :)
We went to Niseko a few weeks ago, our trips could have overlapped. Stayed at the Hilton and mostly ate dinner in Hirafu, but on the cheap. I loved Japan but I don't think I need to go back to Niseko, I feel like the snowboarding is better in Utah/Wyoming/Montana, and I can drive there. JL F was spectacular though. Hopefully next time I get to fly it on the A350.
Thanks for the awesome video. It looks like the Park Hyatt bus operates once per day in each direction. Do you know if the taxis operate late into the evening (e.g., 8pm)?
Yes, they you'll need to reserve a taxi ahead of time since they're in high demand in Niseko. The other option is to take a taxi to the JR station and ride it back to Sapporo or CTS.
Just stayed there a few days ago! We stayed on the Residence side, so the rooms were a little different. This hotel gave me Dune vibes. But it was super empty during the off season, so maybe that's why...
@@SebbyFung we went for some day trips around the area like Lake Toya. And then spent a good 5 nights at the RC Higashiyama. More as a test run for the winter season haha
If you have any opinions about things you wish could be improved or things you would like to do more of during your trip to Niseko, please let me know! For example, you want to rent a taxi from New Chitose Airport, or you want to go to a restaurant that doesn't have reservations. Also, I would like to know what you would like to do if you come to Niseko in the summer!
Question: do they charge 10,000 yen for the 3rd and 4th guest each even on a points booking? So 20k extra for 4 guests in a room? I got 3 rooms booked for 2025 ski season :)
They have a 3rd free night special this summer/fall. I want to bring my parents. It comes out to roughly $300/night for the 3 nights. Worth? Does GLOBALIST get the bus ride for free? If so I will probably just bool this hotel right when I arrive in Sapporo. Do they bring you back to the airport even if its like 2 days after your Park Hyatt stay? Thanks in advance for the feedback
Yes, Globalist gets the bus for free for 2. If it's you + 2 parents, then you'll have to pay for 1 extra. Not sure about the "after stay" part. My guess would be no but you can probably push for it especially in summer (less people, etc.)
Lmao sebby being a brother and poking his sister with the stick and blurring out his dogs in the tub 🤣. I love videos like these!!
😈
wow this was a great video!! I want to stay there
You should! 😛
This is the Park Hyatt on the top of my list. They can take all my points.
You had me with the bus
Worth the visit! :)
omg this is so helpful thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so excited to go next year =)
Glad it was helpful! :)

Great review of the hotel. How many points did you use?
35k Hyatt points per night.
9:50 why did you blur your shoes? lol😂 awesome review

Looks like a nice place to stay. But i'll never understand why Hotels charge you for the minifridge if you are spending $1000+ a night.

Dinner in Hirafu was the right move. We tried one meal at the Hilton and it wasn't good. Heh.
Love JL F!

Would you put this Hyatt above Alila Villas Uluwatu?
That's actually on the list for me, so will let you know after! :)
U suppose to measure the TV diagonally mate! 🤣
LOL you can tell I don't own a TV 🤣
How many nights you stay? What’s the point total?
35k points/night for 3 nights.
no club lounge?
Nope :(

That's not how you determine TV size. You have to do diagonal measurement
😅 Yep! Kinda remember that mid-way though while filming lol
Bro said we weren't happy with arm measurements and then went on to give an even worse measurement
😂 My bad
Your sister is beautiful.do she have a player 2.😊

you measure a tv diagnoally
Yep! Mentioned by other comments at this point :)
Diagonal bro.
😛 In the back of my mind, I knew it was diagonal.
Hello, what month did you go? 🏂
