Be careful with the word urodziny, because it is only plural, so you need to say: 'Moje urodziny są w czerwcu'

., You've said we can alternatively say " Moj ulubiony miesiac to sierpien."ie without jest but how about about "Moj ulubiony miesiac jest sierpien" ie without to? Could we say that instead?

To be honest, it doesn't sound quite right. Everyone will understand you, but if you use a verb 'jest', then it should be 'Sierpień jest moim ulubionym miesiącem' (instrumental case endings)

@@polishwithblondes I am sure you are correct but I do not understand why this sentence then is the instrumental case. It looks more like just the nominative (subject) case to me . I am not using sierpien for anything or doing anything to it.. I am just saying it is my favourite month..
