i love you siouxsie! Sorry I was too young to see you at this time. Later, though, your music helped me recover from a debilitating accident I suffered at the age of ten. I am forever grateful.
Hello from November 2021. Cashel here,I’m a gay Irish leprechaun😂 JK I saw them at the blitz in London when dinosaurs walked the earth. I think they were better live. A lot was flattened out in production when they recorded albums. Best ever goth punk band I ever saw. Hope you’re coping during this pandemic,I lost me grannie to miss covid 😔 Peace and happiness from Dublin Ireland ❤️🌈
For any drummers out there, have you tried to play this....I have, and find it almost impossible (can play all Kenny Morris's;s easily), Budgie is an amazing drummer.I saw him in Liverpool in 1978 when he was in a local band called Big In Japan, was a pretty ordinary drummer then.....fab now.
back in the day..made their own music..danced and sang live and still sounded as good live as on records, look at em all..pogoing...yeah ..that is who she is singing too...LOVE IT
A C, This chick is talented, badd, and pretty. I've put together 15 CD songs and still blast. Especially this song Happy House and it's a great Karoakee song.
Oh Memories... I forgot about this song, It used to rock da school disco. This kid turned up in a FIREMANS UNIFORM 'no sh^^t' he had the yellow plastic trousers, wellies, Jacket and was wearind jet black shades. Even though i was into other music always liked Siouxsie Sioux, its odd thinking it was what we listened to b4 Hip-Hop and House took over the mainstream. UK was a totally different place back then.
orionmmee, this is one of the best LIVE versions you will of Happy House. One of the reasons is the original band (including the guitarist) are performing on this song. I've heard 100's of live Siouxsie concerts, and this is the best. Enjoy!!!
Awesome classic from the early 80s (1981) was a 15yr old Skinhead (Nth Glenorchy Bootboys , Hobart , Tasmania , Australia ) was a big fan of Siouxie Sue :)
I always been a fan but never heard this song - i heard the weekends version first and im just so shocked that this was the first version. Both are great! And i love both artists
@Rhade ...don't feel sorry for us Rhade...I was 24 when I first discovered Siouxsie....once bitten never forgotten....if you love it now you'll love it 30 years from now! My lad is 23 in a few days time... introduced him to Siouxsie and her boys as well as lots of other good stuff long ago. He might do a remix....'cos that's what he's into. If you think life goes fast now, just wait.. ;o)
AMAZING!!! AWESOME!!! There are not really any adjective to match Siousxie and The Banshees sheer energy and rawness on stage. SIOUXSIE RULES!!!!!!!!!!
She's got a voice that separates Her from other singers I have a lot of siouxi on my phone I heard this one at the of a kids movie Knew it was her.. I don't hear it on the radio In Australia, but You can tell current bands in the nineties adopted there sounds No Doubt about it :)
I love theses songs from her: the rapture, kiss them for me, The double life, forever, return, these songs touch my heart and i would like it if you put theses songs here on youtube (if you can't thats okay:) i love her music so much!
My dear Countess Cristo, performing here is John McGeogh who unfortunately had to leave the band because of a heavy drinking habbit. He died in 2005, a shame because he was a GREAT guitarist.
Totally cool! If you get bunch of germans excited(considering the concert is in Cologne) that's saying something! By the way, it may seem Siouxsie should also get credit for the start of moshing? Almost but it's the beginning
@madphilgreenballs BS! Siouxsie has never been religious and never will be. She wore the star of david due to criticism bestowed upon her, after appearing in several earlier sex-pistols gigs with a swastika. That phase didn't last long, nor the star of david. It was all about teen stubbornness, it happens to anyone who knows more about one side of the story than the other. Rather than apologizing to the Jews she wore the star (I would have done same) then made a song to go with it: ISRAEL
@lewisner There are not too many music groups that are this original and pure. We have come so far but have only moved backward. The "music" being played on the radio today is nothing more than a sales promotion for a product.
Yea that's what pisses me off too. I like hearing female singers that aren't depicted as sex objects or music that doesn't come out as sugary, cliched bullshit.
John. Motherfucking. McGeoch. One of the most intelligent, innovative guitarists ever. RIP
There was a time when music was art and underground... I’m so glad I lived those years in the 80’s. It was real n beautiful...
And now we have Taylor Swift 😢
i love you siouxsie! Sorry I was too young to see you at this time. Later, though, your music helped me recover from a debilitating accident I suffered at the age of ten. I am forever grateful.
Lol

I'm every happy to hear that siouxsie was a positive influence in the healing process, and your over all wellbeing!!

One of John Mcgeochs finest moments.... Legend.
I was always fascinated by the Drum beat in this song. Great : )
For any drummers out there, have you tried to play this....I have, and find it almost impossible (can play all Kenny Morris's;s easily), Budgie is an amazing drummer.I saw him in Liverpool in 1978 when he was in a local band called Big In Japan, was a pretty ordinary drummer then.....fab now.
Budgie is the Don. Check out The Creatures @ Glastonbury the prettiest thing...👌👌👌
@@stephenhurstPLEB Nice touch mate!
It's not easy, that off beat. Tricky but I did master it ;)
McGeoch.....The Master
I'm absolutely blown away on how amazing they sound live!! Siouxsie is a goddess! ♡
back in the day..made their own music..danced and sang live and still sounded as good live as on records, look at em all..pogoing...yeah ..that is who she is singing too...LOVE IT

@WTAStudios
you're right! i was a teenager in the 1980s listening to those groups (not so much U2 after 1986)...it was a very exciting time.
I still can't believe I saw her live: best memories ever!
reviving my young days when I hear this!
What a classic. Happy house
Amazing how close the audience got to the band even though this was punk. Nowadays you couldn't get within a 100 feet of the band.
such a perfect song !!! love it !
The opening riff of this song is one of those things that once it comes on you start going crazy!
she is so lovely and wonderful
Go Budgie go!
Awesome classic from the early 80s (1981) was a 15yr old Skinhead (Nth Glenorchy Bootboys , Hobart , Tasmania , Australia ) was a big fan of Siouxie Sue :)

It's John McGeoch - Robert Smith filled in for Nocturne in 1983, the bassist is Steve Severin and the drummer is Budgie

I was 2 years old when this happened!!! 0.o Why I wasn't born before?
CT la meilleure !!!
What an awesome show! Too bad I was born 12 years later, lol :P
Before Ripley and Sarah Connor there was Siouxsie Sioux.
AMAZING!!! AWESOME!!! There are not really any adjective to match Siousxie and The Banshees sheer energy and rawness on stage. SIOUXSIE RULES!!!!!!!!!!

She's got a voice that separates
Her from other singers

Budgie is really fast at playing the drums!
aw too bad all those people are old like my parents. im 23 life goes fast
Kaleidoscope came out in 1980
Like my house when I'm not there.
yeah it's good.
Robert Smith never came near to the guitarplay of John McGeogh...
Siouxsie and John McGeogh make up Siouxsie and the Banshees; no other can do that...
joke of a song, not even close pure amazing song she is the best
Oh yes she is in my eyes. She looks like a very strict dominatrix and I'd do anything for her. Beautiful!

@m4ttys
"U got to know" by Capella.
'81, really? The album came out in '85.
Yea that's what pisses me off too. I like hearing female singers that aren't depicted as sex objects or music that doesn't come out as sugary, cliched bullshit.
Qui peut me rappeler si la même année, c'était à l'ancienne Belgique ou au Forest nation ?
