EVs made it obvious that most of the performance of ICE cars is the noise they make. The car yells at you that it's driving fast so drivers believe it.

    • @Lifecoach7Ra
      @Lifecoach7Ra Месяц назад +6

Only partially true because 65% of owners have no idea what their car costs. Then most even do not own and are slaves of a bank first. So after more than 100 years of mediocre burning of fossile fuels and destroying the planet we should learn to produce more green energy and it’s for many people today already possible to become FREE. We e.g. have low cost water energy and more or less ‚free‘ PV power, so an EV is our contribution to the 2‘000 Watt society too. More important, especially in Europe liar industry promised the so called 2-Litres-Car. A car using 2 litres on 100 km or 60 miles. Today my 333 PS/HP and 608 Nm going 0-100/60 in 5 seconds and uses 16,8 kWh or about 2 litres is very real and any Tesla as the only US car has such sensational figures too. Any similar ICE uses 15-20 litres or 10 times more. Fuel that stems from questionable sources that do not share our values and make us slaves and dependent!

Detroit finally figured out what buyers want from their ice cars, they want them to go vroom, vroom. It’s doubtful that owners of vroom vroom cars understand the noise does not make them any faster. I had a good laugh with a CHP officer the other day, we both agreed that upon stepping on the gas and releasing all that noise, the car waiting for all that reciprocating to respond, really didn’t go anywhere.

Hi, LARS. glad you are having fun.
but, we already knew that ICE Lux Performance cars were finished back in 2012 when TESLA launched its Flagship model S.
Performance LUX & Muscle cars have been in steady DECLINE since Tesla model S introduction.
while it was far from Perfect at Launch, it has Evolved into a BENCHMARK for Muscle & LUX Performance models.
I think the NEW model 3 Prformance will set a NEW Benchmark of what a Compact Performance car can be. same for NEW model Y Performance , when it gets Released.

And no noise either! I told a friend who has a Dodge Challenger Hemi “ hey when you wanna just pass someone the police ( and everyone ) can hear you two blocks away, when I feel like speeding , I can go do 80 or 90 and no one will know if they don’t see me” 😄😄😄😄

Autoline Daily suggested that Legacy Auto should just keep making 5 million cars a year and $10 billion in profits and stop competing with Tesla. Who will buy those 5 million cars? At what price to make $10 billion in profits? Insanity. My 2022 TM3LR is far less expensive. I can drive 300 miles for just $9! Until gas prices are under $2/gallon, EV wins.

    • @bobwallace9753

5 million per year down from ~70 million globally? Or 5M down from the largest single legacy companies that have been making about 10M per year?
Either way, cutting 50% or cutting 93% means losing a lot of economies of scale. The cost of parts will increase. Already thin margins mean that asking prices will have to increase. That will turn into a death spiral.

Building cars designed to fail post warranty is not a model that will lead to long term survival.
My guess is that most legacy companies are going to fail in some mode or another. Outright failure, bankruptcy with a restart as an EV manufacturer, or bought out by a Chinese EV company just to get the brand name.
I guess there might be the option of rebadging Chinese EVs.

the Issue is, Legacy auto had reached PEAK sales in 2017, with no going back.
the model S when Released became the BEST car period in 2012.
but, because it was too Expensive , this also meant that it would take a long time to Disrupt compact size LUX Performance cars. also, Initially Tesla very slow to Produce model S in Numbers.
but, still Enough to Disrupt existing LUX Performance OEMs.
but , I think Tesla model S has reached PEAK market, even as it Continues refinement & Improvement. in 2023 it sold 16,000 units , not bad but not 100k as planned.
the EU would rather buy Performance model 3/Y as its Smaller and more suitable on EU roads.
and I think its just fine to Continue making Model S in the USA.

We still need a better range towing for pickups here in the state's. We tow giant 5th wheel trailers. We also like to tow our equipment trailers. Often 1000 miles or more. The minimum is 250 miles under load going over mountains. Until we have a truck with those specs, we are still going to want diesel trucks.

Each car will have UV interior lights momentarily on after each use with on-board vacuuming for sanitation. Cars will be rented for pennies per mile. The present adoption for this is exponential, rising fast. Just like the death of Kodak, the PC crash from glut, the takeover of smart phones. Cars are changing NOW.

It will be interesting to watch fuel prices now that the price gouging season is upon us and also the presidential race is on.
If Big Oil keeps the fuel price down, it helps a pro EV candidate, if Big Oil drives the price sky high it helps the EV market !

You’re actually talking about an “emotional attachment” to an inanimate object, why? Because it’s an Audi and makes noise? 😂 I truly think YOU are brain dead!

Great Show, informative and entertaining! However, your intro is far too long, a waist of time.

I would choose an Audi R8 over a Model S Plaid any day, any night.

Me too if I was given it, then I would sell it and buy the Model S Plaid that same day.
