    Hello Y’all- I so enjoy your podcast/videos
    👏👏👏 I always learn something🤪. I understand your 🥵 weather, as I grew up in AZ. We have left that heat, but it still stays with you.😬. Chelsi, don’t beat yourself up as you have made progress, in small steps! I like to refer to them as stepping stones. Looking forward to the Big Project😀. Your small projects were fantastic! Thank you for all that you do! ❤️😀

    I’ve made several of the small zipper bags from your video as gifts and they have used them for several reasons and they like them because they’re washable and cute.

    I totally pack my clothes and accessories in tote bags and zipper bags in my camper. I love keeping everything in it's place in a small closet/cupboard space. I need to make more with some of the cute camping fabric out there. Even "glamping" fabric although I do prefer rustic camping. ;-)

    Drawer liners! Brilliant way to use up stash AND make you smile when you open a drawer. Love Chelsea's quilts, and I just happened to score some of the Balboa fabric on Etsy recently! Thx for the ideas of projects to sew with children, Chelsea! My granddaughter is coming to visit and I want to sew with her. And the timing of small gifts was timely, as it may jumpstart Christmas gifts. Great video this morning - Loved the variety of topics.

    ❤️Love everything about "A Quilting Life" and always look forward to new videos and podcasts! ❓❓I have a question for Sherri - when putting aside scraps for your mini log cabin quilt project, do you put the scrap(s) aside as is or do you cut it into specific lengths/sizes? Also, how do you store scraps for this specific project? Thank you!😊

    First, thank you so much for inviting us into your quilting life with each podcast. Secondly, I have a question for your next podcast. I was watching an earlier episode, and you both were discussing how your quilting has changed, especially the colors you gravitate to now. My question plays into this - what do you do with quilts that you've made (and want to keep) but the quilts may not necessarily "match" your house décor? Any tips on how to display these quilts without having to change out the entire room/house? (I don't mean holiday, though. I'm happy to change those out.) Any suggestions?

I too am a 'bag lady' and made that same set of 3 by Annie bags and the Sew Together bag is on my list too. One can never have enough zipper bags. :) And thank you for the reminder that now is a good time to start handmade Christmas gifts.

    AS a dog person, I can share this tip for fireworks. If you take your dog for a car ride during the fireworks, they aren't as frightened in the car for some reason and when you bring them home, they feel safe because they didn't experience that boom in their home, they settle much faster. If I don't do this my dog continues shaking for a couple hours after the fireworks because he feels it may not be over, and it happened right there at home. If you do, though, please be sure to have them well secured when you enter and exit the vehicle or open windows as fireworks can make them bolt from fright as well

    Thanks for another great podcast- I love this new format with longer discussions on a topic or two! Ideas for a future podcasts- I know both of you have had projects published in magazines and I'd be interested to hear how that process works- do you create a project and then submit the idea or do publishers come to you? Also- do you ever get a creative block when designing and what do you do to get the creative juices flowing again? Happy 4th of July!

    May I know, if you use the quilted placemat, they get washed daily? And do they stain quickly? I do have some before and they get very crinkly after washing that I feel like it is not supposed to be washed.. but that is only possible if I don’t use them. Lol

    • @KnitzyKitzy
      @KnitzyKitzy 3 года назад

      If the fabric was not prewashed they will crinkle after washing, a lot. Even washed fabric ones will crinkle a little if you used batting that will shrink. I love a crinkly quilt/quilted item though so I like the look.

    My mom always made pod holders but hers were used more often used for pan holders. Our family owns and runs a bakery in Galveston Tx. Her second made aprons for different seasons. She died about two yrs and left large trash can full of aprons and pan holders. She loved to sew. She was 87 years. Love God and worship him
