- A lot of people have issues keeping the arms relaxed while keeping the bar close in the clean (or snatch) causing them to overuse the arms and shoulders instead of using the legs to power the lift. Check out this video that can fix many different issues with this one drill!

Any other clean drills for developing muscle memory? My new gym isn’t big on the coaching part for anything. And my last gym coached everything as much as I wanted. So now I feel like I’m totally on my own to work out form. And I can feel that I’m reverting back to just muscling it, sort of under the social pressure of everyone just going. I would rather do it right, then do it quickly.
Why do I keep hitting my groined while doing this?
