      Sukraat Ahluwalia Honestly, I think Aleksey is way more personable than Klokov. Nothing against Dmitry, but Aleksey seems more like the kind of guy who will hang out with you and have a beer after training.

    Rebeka's form is incredible. She makes it look soooooooooo easy. This 66 year old is just starting into weightlifting (never lifted before) and I think what is holding me back is my severe lack of elbow and shoulder flexibility. Mine totals ZERO!!!

    I really would like that Oleksiy addressed these three points:
    1. Chinese do and teach the opposite. So I guess straightening up cannot be a mistake. both ways are effective.
    2. in slow motion, basically everyone has a power position with a vertical torso but knees still bent. Again, this cannot be a mistake, and it seems much more effective just to teach directly the actual movement.
    3. if you have straightened up your back, you still have the power of the legs. so it is not true that you do not have anything left. instead it is a choice: do you want the final impulse derived from legs or from the back? (And again, notice that in actual practice, you see that everyone uses the legs and has a vertical torso. so again, it seems more effective to teach the movement you actually use)
    Here is some reference:
    www.coachpapayats.com/chinese-weightlifting-blog/chinese-pull-vs-american-pull

    • @kyrie4451
      @kyrie4451 6 лет назад +1

      It's never completely vertical during the pull, even in Chinese weightlifting. You can still get about 15-30 degrees of hip extension force in a relatively upright position. And the small range allows higher extension velocity.

    Здравствуйте Алексей и Ребека! Хотелось бы, что бы вы побольше рассказывали о мелочах, например при подрыве нужно ли разводить колени в стороны или уводить назад, потому как делают и так и так. Как быть с полржением головы в сиде под штангой на вытянцтых руках, у кого то штанга уходит сильно назад за голову, кто то старается держать штангу почти над головой, а так же про локти в сиде, должны смотреть вперед или вверх? И в чем отличия между этими техниками?

    This is a great video, but in the end I felt the hit on the pelvis was ignored, although it was reviewed early in the video. The hit is probably the trickiest part and most important part of any weightlifting manoeuvre.

    • @kyrie4451
      @kyrie4451 6 лет назад

      Some eastern European coaches do not teach the hip contact until you can pull straight, most Chinese coavhes do not let you snatch or clean till your high pull is straight and tight...teaching it too early could make pulling properly more difficult.
