Sukraat Ahluwalia Honestly, I think Aleksey is way more personable than Klokov. Nothing against Dmitry, but Aleksey seems more like the kind of guy who will hang out with you and have a beer after training.
Rebeka's form is incredible. She makes it look soooooooooo easy. This 66 year old is just starting into weightlifting (never lifted before) and I think what is holding me back is my severe lack of elbow and shoulder flexibility. Mine totals ZERO!!!
This was just perfect. I Just started lifting after many years of absence from lifting any kind of wights. So many important takeaways in this video. The grip, the stands, the shoulders...Everything. Step by step. Thank you very much!
Wow.... my gosh so simplified way of explaining the steps. I am it would be difficult to practice. But would be following you keenly. .... Rebaka too good for this video...lol
Very nice tutorial. Thank you very much. I dont have a coach. I keep falling down when I lock it overhead because I don't know the timing. Now I know the flow of the movement. :) 🖒🖒🖒
I really would like that Oleksiy addressed these three points: 1. Chinese do and teach the opposite. So I guess straightening up cannot be a mistake. both ways are effective. 2. in slow motion, basically everyone has a power position with a vertical torso but knees still bent. Again, this cannot be a mistake, and it seems much more effective just to teach directly the actual movement. 3. if you have straightened up your back, you still have the power of the legs. so it is not true that you do not have anything left. instead it is a choice: do you want the final impulse derived from legs or from the back? (And again, notice that in actual practice, you see that everyone uses the legs and has a vertical torso. so again, it seems more effective to teach the movement you actually use) Here is some reference: www.coachpapayats.com/chinese-weightlifting-blog/chinese-pull-vs-american-pull
It's never completely vertical during the pull, even in Chinese weightlifting. You can still get about 15-30 degrees of hip extension force in a relatively upright position. And the small range allows higher extension velocity.
will you and rebeka be doing a video on the clean and jerk? this was so helpful as i am going to start weightlifting in a few weeks and the way you explained it was so informative! you and rebeka are both fantastic lifters!
God bless you man! Your lessons (and shared experience) are priceless. I already bought from your shop few ebooks! All is amazing! Warm regards from cold Serbia 🏆😎
Excellent video....maybe a true beginner versus a pro like R. Koha. Would help true beginners but im no expert either. Stil helpful video. Hope you do more!!
Привіт Олексій. Дуже хотілося б щоб Ви розказали (або зробили відео) як тренувати силу хвату? Маю проблеми з хватом, виконувати вправу з вагою більшою 70% ПМ без лямок не можу. Наперед дякую.
Congrats for the channel, do you have some exercises to improve the mobility?, i cant reach the ohs positiona nd go down, i need to practice and get some mobility first. Thanks
Thank you both for this excellent video demonstration! (PLEASE / пожалуйста / pozhaluysta... next video... How to Clean & Jerk: Beginners Guide of Olympic Weightlifting / Torokhtiy & Rebeka ) Best wishes! xx :-) xx :-) xx
This is a great video, but in the end I felt the hit on the pelvis was ignored, although it was reviewed early in the video. The hit is probably the trickiest part and most important part of any weightlifting manoeuvre.
Some eastern European coaches do not teach the hip contact until you can pull straight, most Chinese coavhes do not let you snatch or clean till your high pull is straight and tight...teaching it too early could make pulling properly more difficult.
why didn't he say anything about rebending the knees? when the bar passes the knee level she should reband their knees right?which is she is acctually doing (11:48) but no word mentioned about it! They showed simplyfied version with just straightening the legs and then with rebending the knees but noboy explain why is it happening?

Google and its artificial intelligence?
Meh
I agree, bless them into His kingdom!
HeLL YES. Aleksey and Rebeka in the same video. Cant get better!
It can if you add Dmitry Klokov in it as well.
Sukraat Ahluwalia Honestly, I think Aleksey is way more personable than Klokov. Nothing against Dmitry, but Aleksey seems more like the kind of guy who will hang out with you and have a beer after training.
Then you just did not see enough footage of Dmitry yet:)
kzelmer it’d be better if it were subtitled...
Michael Crawford it is
This is one of my new favorite videos for learning the snatch. The video was very informative.
