    Fallout 1st is worth the price if you truly enjoy the game and don't want to be hindered by the storage box weight capacity. It's also really nice for people who like to build camps, having that unlimited junk space really let's you save up for when you build next.

    One HUGE tip you missed (at least I didn't hear it) for getting FO1st for the first time, get that first month after half the month is gone (just to make sure) so you can take advantage from the free stuff for that month and the next one and actually got a 2-for-1 special 🤣🤣🤣🤣
    Also, I still think Bethesda should have a lower priced option (like $1 - $3) with just the Survival Camp and Stash & Ammo boxes only for those that doesn't care about the Atoms and (like me) the Private World).

    Saying that making it so Private Worlds don't share your progress is "unpopular with some players" is a gross understatement. Bethesda has made so many Scummy monetization moves with this IP lately, from locking the Scrap and Ammo boxes behind monthly paywalls to dropping their plans for official mod support due to the Backlash of them trying to implement costs to us players for using them, Bethesda really needed a "Goodwill" action towards the community and Private Worlds should of been it.
    I'd pay a monthly sub to play FO76 with no restraints on building/looting/selling/storing. BUT, as it goes, I can't bring myself to pay for 1 month to "catch up" on Fallout First items, the thought of supporting this company feels so dirty to me now.
    Edit: forgot to add that I thought this was a great video still and I really enjoy your content. Thanks!

Believe me, I played for 2 years without F1st and it's still enjoyable, but I decided to invest so I can cut down time spent on things I didn't like to do. • @jdh9676
    @jdh9676 Год назад +19

    I have been enjoying it for a week now. Unless I get a one year sub I may take a break at some point and see how that goes. The one year sub is a decent value at $8 a month. As long as this is the only game I play its well worth it to me. I enjoy all facets of FO76 especially the camp building and vendoring so the QOL enhancements are much appreciated. I do enjoy the private server for solo gameplay and camp building without potential distraction, as well. The survival tent is very useful, also. Having a portable Fast Travel feature along with the Scrap and Stash box in the vicinity of whatever quest you're on is very convenient. So is Fallout 1st necessary or needed to play this game and enjoy it to the max? Nope. It has nothing to do with the in game economy of buying and selling, available crafting plans, weapons, vital equipment, or winning and losing. Is it nice to have for a person dedicated to the game and its community? I'd say yes. But certainly not required even for them. Its simply "more" for those who can't get enough of '76. And that is many among us.

    The monthly sub of any MMO is worth it if you’re a dedicated player of the game.
    76 launched without a subscription and at the time it was manageable, tough but manageable. Now there have been sooooo many guns, armors, power armors pieces, plans, outfits, etc added to game it would be tough (not impossible) to really invest yourself into the game without the monthly sub.
    This happens with a lot of MMO’s. ESO was the same way,
    The way I look at is….is $12 a lot of money for entertainment for a month? I’ll spend $10 dollars for lunch at Subway one time for a single lunch.

    @leperemecanique Год назад +3

    I'm really on the fence when it come to justify First, yes its wonderful to have infinite junk and ammo box and a bonus world, but its asking too much for what it offer. You gotta remember that Fallout 76 subscription is the same price as WoW, ESO and FF14, Bethesda ask you to pay the same amount of money that those other games ask, games that justify that price with big expansion that brings new classes, more stories, more quests, more weapons, armors and even a new world to explore. Fallout 76 released in 2018, I started playing in septembre 2022 and I already have done all of the primary and secondary quests, tried every events, dailies and Ops, build multiples camps, laucnh multiples nukes, fought each world boss multiple time and did the Pitt in repetition...now what? Nuka World got out and the content was monstly done after a month. Yes, I still have plans to unlock, I could reroll my legendaries for the 100th time or do another camp, but this is not meaningful content, this is like side things that you should do during the day. If First was like half the price I think it would be fine and I'm sure more people would actusally get it for the junk/ammo box, but for now, with what we have, I dont think its enough for the price. Wanna know whats funny about this? I played a shit ton of FF14 and ESO and played WoW from time to time, all great game, but Fallout 76 is fore me just more fun, I love the world, the characters and the diffirent build you can do, the weapon and the PA but man...I got nothing to do.

Now, with the Ammo Stash and Scrap box, fallout 1st is Quality of Life if you plan on playing for any length of time. I hope that Bethesda sees this post and others like it. I do wish to see chems and food become like the ammo stash. Why carry 100 lbs of chems around or food? The assertion that since the Ammo and Scarp boxes exist means that Stash boxes can hold infinite items is flawed. The Ammo and Scrap boxes are able to hold infinite items because they're limited to what items can be placed in them. If every Stash box was unlimited then the servers would have to process every item in there as well as every variation of weapon and armor, which would anger more than a few people of something were to happen because of the load size and the Stash box inventories go scrambled, deleted, or cause a server crash like when people were crafting 300 items to force a crash.

    • @FilthEffect

      Not true. I've played similar games where I've transfered servers with 300+ stacks of items. Not 300 items. 300 stacks. As in 100000s of resources. Weapons, armours etc. I have vaults on ark with 1000s of items. And resources in the millions. It's not a problem. Storage in 2023 should not be limited.

    • @UraniumFever76
      @UraniumFever76  Год назад +3

      No I agree with that, but my point was ultimately it was possible to have storage camp objects which store infinite items which would have been in the stash box. • @ShadowVulcan
      @ShadowVulcan Год назад +4

      @@FilthEffect You misunderstand what I'm saying. It's simple for a game to look at an item and say, "that is a known variable." It is something entirely different for a game to process the hundreds of potential variables for modified weapons and armors (not to mention the legendary modifiers), remember what account they're assigned to, and not screw up the order they're in. If 76 looks in a stash and sees thousands of every crafting resource then that's easy to read because it's already in a set list. It also doesn't process the weapons you find since they're all randomized and the game doesn't have any say in what mods the items spawns with. So you're moving away from easy to process loot lists and into 30 accounts per server, each with a stash box filled with weapons and armor, all of which have their own unique builds.

      Sadly the problem is really complicated. All Bethesda games since Morrowind have an rare problem when your Savegame gets bloated. This means the raw text data that describes your items and state of quests etc will go over 3 MB. Especially in consoles like the One S I started playing bother games suffer from that, the PS3 Skyrim and Oblivion suffered from this too. Oblivion to a point where it deleted items from your secure player homes, on Skyrim i used the enchantment glitch to increase my carryweight to arround a million. This increased loading into zones behind a loading screen up to 6 minutes.
      On Fallout 4 i go regularly through my settlements and scrap everything or get rid of unwanted legendarys by placing them in a non save container or selling them. 76's issues aren't the same but similar, they got better over time but if you're over encumbered, despite perks reducing your CW, having any other effects active or world stuff like player using Fatman's or mobs of enemy's especially the one S crashed almost in a 5 minute to timescale not evengiving me enough time to sort out enough of my inventory before it crashed again. At one point my game was incredible unstable seemingly because i had to many Holotapes at least hiding in my shelter and dropping all i could changed this.
      Now on Series X it's like a completely different expirince still big inventory and players abusing explosions are a problem. One of them okay but both gives me often enough a slideshow.

You can get burnt out on this game quick, just spending 10 dollars one months and coming back a year later is actually not that bad. Of course if its your main game, then be ready to pay up $100 a year for 76

    The unlimited storage of ammo and scrap is fisable due to a lack of nbt data associated with those items. Just saying. Yes, they should have it if they’re going to play all the way through which is now you know literally weeks or months of contact they should buy followed first by Walmart that a time tell you decide if you’re going to stick around after you complete the story but while you’re doing it, you should be saving everything I mean literally loot everything OK I’ll scrap it and put it in the box or just put it in a box and scrap it if it’s what happens you gotta scrap it first but you should be loading everything and putting it in there if you get through the day or decide you want to stay you’ll have already built up a decent amount of crafting materials if you wait until then do decide now you gotta start collecting I mean what’s it cost now I think 13 bucks a month if you buy it by the month big deal you’re getting the game for free on game pass it’s free on PlayStation unless you just got a PlayStation this month it was a free game last month so you can download it add it to your library download an installer create chart which gives you all the contact Minus of course the things you get with fall out first so yeah I’ll spend the 13 bucks by fall out first play the game for free and save every bit of scrap in your scrap stash, which also gives you access to your tent pretty much anywhere so you can again. Finish craft stash, it is definitely a Moscow just like in Ma elder scrolls if you’re playing elder scrolls and you’re gonna play through here in just a bass game having a supplies to start building a crafting bag it makes great sense

    As I said in the previous video, I have playing 76 since launch and never once did I pay a penny for Fallout 1st.
    Is there value in having it if you play it just as much as I do and enjoy just as much if not more? Certainly, and the extra bonuses (Fast travel tent, junkbox, ammo box) definitely have their uses. Other than that, I recommend just micro-managing your inventory to make room and space in your stash. Is it tedious? It can be, yes. But so is paying a subscription fee in a video game that you can already own and play just by purchasing once.
    If you still want or currently are enjoying 1st don't let me stop you, just consider these thoughts.

      It's not worth it, just buy maps and use hundreds of thousands when they give free trials once a year, then that's the time you fill your scrapbox. And you don't need to pick up any junk really, they are easily farmable and you can basically just ask on discord if you need stuff.

    • @lordpoochalot

      Constantly juggling items for space is not fun. I don't play the game to look for items, it's time wasting. I would rather pay a days wage than waste countless hours finding scrap or ammo I had to throw away to make room. Plenty good atomic shop items to get with the fallout first monthly atoms aswell. So I completely disagree, it's well worth it.

    I had my good amount of 400 hours in this game and I never needed those premium features. People are honestly collecting some stupid junk they never gonna use and make huge (yet still ugly) camps... As long as you have knowledge what junk is more valuable or you have like UI improvement mods, you don't need to micro-manage. You can say private worlds are good for collecting/they are safer, but regular worlds barely have any players, plus the game got rid of PvP aspect almost enritely.
