I’ve been playing for a week or so. Never noticed the Fallout 1st was free for a week in the Atom Shop. Never felt like I needed it at all. Seems like I got enough stash and a few caps to fast travel when I have hundreds is fine. I didn’t like it at all on release. Not sure why it’s clicking now. It’s super fun and it’s more my speed for a MMO. I hate all the fantasy MMOs, they are over done.
I find it funny how people rip on 76 for having Fallout 1st.... but they don't complain about ESO having ESO plus which does the same thing (and in fact, locks even more of the game behind that paywall). Also just FYI, your videos are very very very quiet. You need to crank up your mic input.
I would have no complaints aside from not being able to purchase F1st unless you do autu-refill which will always bite you in the butt. They also make it very easy to accidentally buy expensive atom purchases while just trying to browse and look in the atom shop. Dirty tactics that could be avoided, seems a lot like taking advantage of customers and their accidents and forgetfulness.
Ppl saying "greed" etc. dont realize half the things they buy and the subscriptions they sub to, if they were to work out the ACTUAL cost to the company per user, would be SHOCKED to see how ripped off they are. This is how a capitalist society works, nothing is ever priced that relatively to the amount of effort put in or the amount of upkeep required. Relax... Dont buy it but dont have an aneurism about it. You are just furthering the delusion that you feel like you can avoid such circumstances.
Are private servers ACTUALLY new servers now? I recall a lot of looted lobbies because you were paying to join a set of private servers. Not your own server instance. Meaning the people that played before you could loot your area
I started 76 when it first came out, quit for a year or two, but joined Fallout 1st for the first time last night. When I booted up the private server, It was a brand new server with nothing dead or looted.
So what happens when you use fallout 1st items in your camp and then the subscription runs out? Do they just disappear or do you get to keep everything you claim with fallout 1st?
So from what i could find online, not 100% sure if its true or not, but apparently you get to keep everything you claim from the "fallout 1st" section in the store and that's it. I will be getting the 1 month at 50% off today. So i will be able to confirm what you get to keep in like 30ish days cause i claimed the free fallout 1st preview too. The 1 month at $6.50 (50% off) gets you 1650 atoms and 1600 atoms is $15 bucks in the store so its good at least to get some atoms for cheap. The survival tent i think its called seems like the best thing. You can put it down anywhere as much as you want and it has your stash, a bed, the junk box, and a place to cook. So you literally never have to worry about being too heavy cause you can just drop stuff off whenever you want. Just remember to immediately cancel the subscription if you buy it. That way you don't forget about it and get charged for another month 30 days later. That happened to me in ESO once lol.
It’s not worth it because I’ve played the game without the benefits for 2 weeks and I’m pretty much at the end game with end game equipment and enough resources to do it all over again 5 times. Yeah it’s convenient to not worry about scrap counting towards my stash but at the same time I won’t ever need 10k of each scrap. Not to mention I earned enough atom points in-game to buy what I wanted.
No it’s not. It’s a subscription that gives you cosmetic allowance money for a Wasteland Barbie Dream Home builder. Except that it’s limited so it makes collecting things for your Wasteland Barbie Dream Home meaningless. They know the most hardcore players don’t want to build a Barbie home so they locked unlimited ammo and junk (the basic components you need for every single thing) behind the paywall too.
That's your perspective. Other people actually enjoy being social with friends and camp building and trying new things. Expressing their artistic side. You gotta stop with that negative attitude. You'll be able to get a job and maybe even find the money to get urself a car one day. Lol kiddo. 😂😂
@dpellek74 what a disgusting answer. Day one player here kiddo. I payd for the game so I refuse to pay for that 1st. Scam and useless. And I can do it every year without problems if I want.
Paying to save time is pay to win, not pay for convenience. Take mobile games like Clash of Clans for example. You can wait a week for your building to finish or pay for gems to skip the building. Or Fallout 76, you can goto a workbench when your weapon is damage and spend items which you find around the map. Or buy a repair kit. You can teleport back home to stash items or spawn a tent on yourself. All that time saving adds up. Fallout 1st is Pay to win since you can progress the game faster than those who do not subscribe.
