The best thing about 76 is the community. Everyone is willing to help new players
I laugh at this when the first experience me and my buddy had was a high level guy telling us to follow him for supplies then leading us to a death trap 😭 was our first time out the vault and playing
The community is so good to each other that the PVP mode has failed
@mysteryman4013 I'm around level 850 and trap camps still get me sometimes 😆 I just laugh and move on. If you or your friend need supplies and are on Xbox let me know
We’re just happy there’s new players 😂
That hasnt been my experience
As a level 678, my end game is following low level players around the map and giving them some stimpaks or other useful aid items.

The community is so nice. I met a level 30 guy who's probably a new player too, but he pulls out a power armor, places it, fills it with a fusion core, and makes a gesture for me to take it. He gives me a thumbs up and leaves, without knowing that I can't even use it, and his power armor goes back to his inventory after 60 seconds.
That's the thought that matters lol
You can do the same by going to your inventory and dropping the power armor instead of placing the power down.
This had me laugh way harder than it should, probably because I could see myself or one of my friends actually doing this.
My best experience in Fallout 76 was witnessing two high-level players battling it out in an abandoned town and causing huge explosions while I was playing the piano like this was a Wild West saloon bar fight.

The thing with the "Then" and "Today" state of games is that it wasn't this way in the early and middle ages of video games, games were actually A FULL PRODUCT, with updates, expansions and dlc feeling more like an extra and not what should have been in the game to begin with, and thus sayin that a game is good now compared to what it was at launch is giving the companies the good thumbs up to keep giving us incomplete products that need more pieces to feel complete.
What you conveniently left out is that many games were just straight Garbo back then.
And they stayed that way, with basically no notable exceptions.
Absolutely true. It's frustrating to see how back when games shipped working and finished. I can understand a bit how super unbelievably complex games need patching up, but it's like we hit an era where the standard is "hit the deadline, no matter what". That's why games like red dead 2 or hogwarts legacy are so refreshing, products that just seem to work out of the box.
@@Nerobyrne I didn't left it out, it goes without sayin that not all games are great, some were bad yes, but that's more of a developer fault, remember that most games can be delayed the way they can be updated or patched, if the cake is not baked properly, don't serve it, that happened to most crappy games, or the design was just awful.
This just isn't true. Many many MANY big time games follow this model. Anything that was ambitious like early mmos, minecraft even, and all that between the 90s and 2010 was subject to stuff like this. Its just more common now because the space has grown and evolved to accommodate so much more innovation and ambition. Plenty of games launched and failed, and just like now the luckier ones were able to grow over time.
@@rorekthedemon Yeah, minecraft at launch was full of bugs and glitches and basically unplayable, it was only with version 1.come on now, launched in 2020 that it became great, OF COURSE i know it is not new, but even then those games felt completed and not rushed. I mean can you compare minecraft at launch with fallout 76 at launch? The model might be the same, but the craftmanship was different.

So I recently got friends to try it out and I could say that I have given my fair share of time in 76 and have definitely seen most of the game could offer, have around like 1.3k hours in the game and at lvl 700.
So when I got my friends in and showcased them I noticed that the starting area changed and they added new shit that I have never seen before since I don't really visit that part of the woods, so my group of friends ended up enjoying exploring again together, like how we found a cultist cave with blood rivers inside it.
Man just hearing kev saying all this stuff about fallout 76 makes me want to play it
Eh, he is being way kinder than the game deserves to be honest. Its a far more stable game than when it launched, but that is not a high bar and really the game itself is just a bog standard sponge shooter with a fallout skin you can play with friends.
The community carries the hell out of this game, but its not a good game on its own. Without the community this game would be a 4/10 on its best day.
If you want an empty sand box game to kill time then do it otherwise don't waste your time.
It's great fun I got back into it and they let you start at level 20 to jump into the content
Do you have 500$ if not you can’t build the houses he showed
I suggest getting on gamepass to see if its worth your time, that's what I'm doing, can't say the early impression is good enough haha.
My biggest problem is that for the multiplayer aspect of the game, its extremely frustrating to play with friends, like its better to join teams then do the quests separately till everyone gets level 50.
Having this problem rn
id say the opposite the very early game quests work the best with multiplayer and going to every event that pops up is a great early game leveling strat. past the main story most quests are not made to be played as a team especialy with no team progression so you have to see a convo twice or even 4 times depending on team size
Ahhh my house was featured
I have to agree from playing the game since day 1 and seeing both it and the community grow has been weirdly nice, the community is genuinely filled with some of the nicest people in any MMO
Fallout 76 is absoultely not going to be for everyone, but I firmly believe that it has become a truly good (possibly even great) game. Yes, it absolutely deserved to get dunked on relentlessly for it's abysmal launch. But, people who STILL insist that Fallout 76 is terrible are full of shit, and likely haven't touched the game in years.

Is taking 5 or so years to become playable really worth celebrating? It's like you bought a brand new car, then had to wait years for all the parts and now you're able to drive it
It was good like a year after launch imo...I actually didn't like wastelanderds
Is it worth celebrating when someone who's been an addict from a young age finally manages to get clean after years even though a lot of people are clean their whole life?
A car and a game are certainly comparable yes I admit you're clever
Yeah. It would be worth it if the car cost sub 100 bucks.
It was decent 1.5 years after the release.
Just got into this with a friend and loving it. The community is great and I'm loving exploring the map at my own pace.
I played 76 for the first time probably a couple months after release, played a couple days and maybe got to level 30 before i was bored. After i watched the Fallout show i have started playing again and dude its like actually so much fun. Maybe not a 10 out of 10 game but still its quite good right now.
So my buddy and I started grinding 76 this past Christmas. And the different houses and builds we have come across is actually really impressive. We’ve met some really nice people and some a holes in the wasteland.
It’s a good game if you take it for what it is with the community and the state now
1:00 actually how the fallout community sees it LOLLL I personally think all the fallout are worth playing and awesome in their own way. Also remember the multiple delays for wastelanders ;-; Good times.
My friend always makes new home in new spots and has the tendency of changing spots twice within a week and I've only built in four spots since launch and two of em are on ledge's of cliffs. Currently one is new a crashed airplane and overlooking a small Town in the center of a valley, yep just gonna pull a chair out and play a banjo to admire the view. It's not the best game but it's not a bad game... At least not nowadays assuming you got friends
Honestly, I 100% understand those who refuse to play F76 purely out of principle; it should ABSOLUTELY NOT have launched in the state it did.
Agreed. They put in the work to make it worthwhile, but that shouldn't ever be the case, especially when folks have to drop $70 on it at launch
I get what you're saying but the game launched 6 years ago. Holding onto hate that long is extremely unhealthy.

Whatever you do DO NOT MOD this game. I had thousands of hours into it and had been running a mod that made things like magazines a different color so they were easy to see (as an older gamer with not the best vision this helped a lot). I had been using the mod for well over a year and had never had an issue/warning then was permabanned for using it. No first strike, no warning, no temporary ban. Just a heads up to anyone thinking about it.
I have finally played Fallout 76, I have been playing for less than a month and I especially loved the map, for me it is the best in the saga and I also joined the enclave automatically, tremendous game, I have been missing
Been playing since forever..it was rough in the beginning but toughed it out through the good and bad. Fo76 gets a bad rap. Its a good game and has continued to develop over the years.
0:16 Man seeing that Evolve clip at the start, so much nostalgia I miss it so much
My favorite part about FO76 is how limited the inventory is. Everything needs crafting components so you're constantly picking up junk but OOPS, your stash back at base is full. Not to worry though, you can just buy the Fallout 1st subscription and have unlimited storage space for crafting components! They literally created a problem and then sold people the solution. I can't get behind scummy tactics like that.
you know what you dont need like 80 weapons and different armors in there and you dont need thousands of mats if you wanna make something go out get the mats make it then go back out when you wanna make more shit also fallout 4's building much better than this, with mods cause fallout 4 has the settler system and the supply line systems like that which 76 doesnt and yes you can build these games and shops but for who to man those shops who's gonna play the games or instruments
Well, I played a lot without 1st, and while inventory management may be annoying sometimes, it is pretty easy thing to do.
Glad to see we finally got to have the 16 times the detail we were promised.

I joined yesterday and after playing for like 10 mins a high level player came and just started giving me everything I could need
I bought it back when it was 5 bucks, you can regularly find it on sale though and I have to say it still is one of the most fun games I've played in a while and I keep coming back for update. The player base for the most part are rather helpful and friendly which is odd considering the content, but hey its there! I can't count the amount of times when I started players just dumped crafted gear on me, or when I was doing a pipegun playthrough ("Wait you're building a build for those? On purpose?"). Id suggest playing it if you haven't, especially with the new influx of new players from the show.
So... basically, WE have become the alpha testers... and we pay THEM for it...hmmmm. I dont like that feeling.
Not really. The developers thought that the game wouldn't need NPCs because Fallout players would talk to each other. They really didn't understand the Fallout fan base. It's made up of introverts. The game became good after Bethesda accepted that and added NPCs to the 76.
I love 76 and have 350ish hrs in it, but the one thing they changed that I didn't really care for was making stuff no longer zone-leveled- makes everything a bullet sponge and means I don't really feel as powerful when I walk around in the Forest anymore. Maybe interiors could be leveled to the player, but the exterior enemies being all based on zones if they wanted to split the difference.
But yea its one of my favorite games and imo the best modern Fallout game.
The amount of pure joy I got seeing my camp in a kevduit video is amazing. 🤩

I realised that its probably best to wait it out for that or find a high level team. But overall really enjoying the game in its current state.

The thing that has always been great about Fallout 76 is the community, since the game launched everyone playing has been so nice
Gotta admit Kev from like 9mins on you sound like Todd Pitching the game back when it first came out "16x the detail, dynamic weather whenever you look, and every person you meet is a player." Like it looks better but no real end game as they slowly drip content whilst further pushing atomic store, sounds like at most they got it to F4 base level. Which while a massive improvement from start its still quite a deeply flawed game.
Fallout 76 is pretty fun and the story is pretty interesting with the whole Scorched plague and the whole Mothman cult
Pretty cool that Bethesda actually saved the game instead of abandoning it like how most developers do if their live-service game fails

I remember that Fallout 76 launched as a MMORPG that everyone had to roleplay in. The story that you experienced was one you had to make. Sounds like fun on paper but you have to understand the average gamer mentality. No one roleplays unless absolutely forced to, and most of the time they roleplay psychopaths because it's easier than building a well-thought character.
I hate multiplayer roleplaying, but I might still get Fallout 76 to experience the world of post-apocalyptic Appalachia.
The "average gamer mentality" is of an absolute psychopath because the average person is an absolute psychopath and a dumb one, too.
This is why sandbox games aren't as popular, because the average player would have to actually use their imagination.
It was the wild west in the early days. So many destroyed houses. I quit 76 about 3 years ago.

I’m thinking to buy this game but is the game pay to win or can I just play it without paying a single buck after I buy the game?
they are giving away free licenses to people who have amazon prime accounts. Its on prime gaming.
you can just buy it, the microtransactions are just mostly cosmetics. there are some (very insignificant) p2w features like buying scrap materials and XP boosters type stuff, but they're just a waste of the premium currency to spend on
It's not pay to win. Atomic Shop items are 99% cosmetic and the remaining 1% of stuff are small boosts that they might give out for free daily. Everything else is earned through actually playing the game, completing quests and doing public events.
You can progress entirely free, most paid things are assists not requirements (Plus you can earn premium currency through quests!)

I am from the future in 2030 Fallout 76 will become offline and no one will be able to play it.
I havent played yet but ive heard that the community helps out newbies and there is a lot of collaboration. One can hope the real nuclear fallout would work like that.
What a like about fallout 76 and kinda fallout 4 is the talk about rebuilding and letting go of grudges. 76 and his storyline aint new vegas but seing community fight together after the bomb and fell is kinda like the player helping each other to keep the game till bethesda fix it
I've been playing since release, with a break, just came back after a year off. It is a vastly different feeling game than in the beginning. At the start it was a very lonely feeling game. Even once you started meeting others but that interaction helped get us to the first actual NPC's... it's not a stable game though, especially with all the new people, man it's like a seven year old after night of eating candy, bouncing off walls then crashing hard....but so much fun while it's working 😉
It went from a 5 to a 6.
No, it's not good. Never was, never will.
Agreed. Call me a hater but if anyone calls 76 an authentic post-nuclear game then they got no idea of what makes a good Fallout game. It has no compelling characters to interact with, and soulless quests. The first two games may look bad graphically but are still the prime example of good Fallout games, they have more RPG mechanics, better main quests, storyline, soundtrack, art-direction, characters, and deeper dialogue. The classic two and NV take the post-nuclear feel more seriously than any Bethesda game ever did, and that's a fact.
These modern Fallout fans don't care for RPG mechanics, they just like the graphics and the shooty shoot shoot.
I got to agree too. Bethesda Fallout games seem more like post-nuclear *action* games than actual RPGs. (Emphasis to "action")
Remember the sub-title:
Post-nuclear role-playing game.
Fallout 3 removed vehicle traveling with a lazy fast traveling with no interruptions of any kind. It also removed traits. All of its quests with the exception of 2 make no sense. And Fallout 4 not only kept traits out but also removed skills. And both of these game's main-quests are extremely poorly written.
So where's the RPG on this? These decisions were made to streamline an RPG franchise, which goes against the idea of the franchise in it's core. I swear Bethesda is one of the most (if not THE most) overrated gaming companies in history.
You guys don't get it, 76 is not trying to be or needs to be New Vegas. You're no longer the center of the universe, you're practically living in the fallout universe in 76. Every person is on their on quest. The game was always amazing, stop judging it for what it's not. It's as if youre calling New Vegas a bad MMO.
@@juve3030 Fallout is supposed to be a post-nuclear RPG franchise. It even says so on the sub-title of the first two games. Fallout 3 sucked at it, New Vegas returned the mechanics Fallout 3 removed, and then Fallout 4 and 76 removes them again. With the exception of NV, they do a horrible job at being RPGs.
Nobody ever mentioned or expected it to be like New Vegas, just a good RPG.
"The game was always amazing"
biased
"stop judging it for what it's not"
It's betraying the Fallout identity, it should be an FPS/RPG. Yes, New Vegas did a good job at it, but the expectancy was an improvement of it, not a literal objective downgrade. Where are traits? Where are skills? Still no ability to drive? Not even asking for a Chryslus Highwayman, just any vehicle. Bethesda is afraid to expand and keeping it safe. They don't know how to make good RPGs.
"It's as if youre calling New Vegas a bad MMO"
That's the wrongest thing i ever read, idk what to say about it lmao
76 is better than NV
He’s not the hero we need, but the hero we deserve. Shine a light on this gem of a game and growing community 👏🏻
Seeing Evolve brought back so many memories
Ah, more youtuber cash in. Most of these clips are pre update, the game now crashes like it used to in year 1 all the time, it's still boring, the game has gotten easier and the noobs still struggle so you end up having to carry events. They nerfed the hell out of a lot, but don't worry theyll sell you stuff for cash in the atomic shop.
I have 6k hours, anyone who says this game is finally good, is lying.
No views in 6 seconds? Man really fell off

man that evolve clip hit me in places
I was there when wastelanders first launched and I remember staying up late with my friends so we could launch the update as soon as it came out, I'll never forget the feeling of finally having the online fallout game I had dreamed of ever since I first played fallout 3 when I was 8. (yes im a very screwed up person for playing FO3 at 8 yrs old)
Me and my buddy got back into this and its a blast
It's so funny that RUclips recommended your video and LegacyKillaHD's video. Both are about Fallout 76 but have completely opposite titles.
I started fallout 1 after watching the show, and honestly It's one of the Best games i've ever played
