I love that for the first hour after the alien event is over, you can find an alien chasing a brahmin down the road
I've been pushing a theory in the community that the Interloper is really a recreation of the 'West Virginia Veggieman', a very rare cryptid that was sighted once back in 1968. Long story short, the Veggieman was spotted by a Hunter in the woods, it appeared to be made of tree bark and plant matter (Around 7ft tall), and telepathically told him that it was wounded and needed assistance. Before the hunter could run, the Veggieman pounced on him and drained his blood, apparently hypnotizing him while it did so. When it was done, it dropped the Hunter and escaped into the forest.
Wow! That’s fascinating. I’m planning on doing a full video about the Fallout Lovecraftian entities but I did not know about this! Sounds nailed on. Thanks mate!

Plants generally grow faster with blood so it probably wasn't lying about being wounded. A sunflower I planted over where a dog was buried sprouted in a few days compared to the few weeks the ones planted elsewhere took
Yo, I fell into this same logic. Except I ended up at the Man Eating Trees.
There is something like that in old folklore in Japan.. Think the most recent writing of it was way back in the Edo period. Its been a long while since I read about it so I could be confusing the timeline with a different folklore tale about a Oni as I sometimes mix that stuff up ( Meaning it could have been a different time but regardless this thing you are mentioning sounds very much like a specific mythological being in old Japanese folklore. )
Sad thing is I am not sure if the scroll it was on still exists anymore as the person who owned the shop no longer exists... The shop is still there though when I was last visiting relatives.. This makes me want to go back just to check and see if they still have it.. Miss talking to the old owner. Was a kind old lady. I know the shop got handed down to a relative of hers but I do not really know them.
An easter egg/reference added with the Pitt is a Twilight Zone reference. There's a building with a hole in it that's on fire near the vertibird for Union Dues. If you jump in there, there's a note called "Time enough at last"

Related side note: The actual real life investigation into the Flatwoods incident points to the creature being an owl, which reside in Appalachia in great numbers. The howlets without feathers look like little alien creatures, they have piercing and reflective eyes and obviously are nocturnal so are often seen at night; freaking people out.
That’s fascinating! I love the real stories behind the myths. Need to read in to it more and potentially do a video!

I really hope we get a new event, like the Zeta Aliens or an update similar to the Nuka World area devoted to the Cthulu-like subplots all the Fallout games seem to have going for them.

I personally would love to get the Mothman Cult included as an expansion now that we know that there is a friendly subfaction included in Mothman Equinox. Since the hostile, Appalachia semi-worships that thing in the mine that would serve as some cool insane inducing, belief corruption story arcs for the Cult as a whole.
@@EJ_Red I think it makes sense to continue their storyline with the two factions at war with each other. Hopefully we see it expanded on!
Mr. U-Fever, you forgot about "the Visitor", another similar lovecraftian creature that can be found in location known as The Deep. Hopefully, there's still enough Fallout secrets for another video like this)

I always thought that the interlooper is a reference to Bloodborne.
Not much to say, if you've played Bloodborne, this should be a "Great One" with that blood stuff and people praising it and all, i guess i was wrong.
Grant us Eyes! I love Bloodborne mate lol it’s 100% very similar to the Great Ones. From soft also took a lot of inspiration from Lovecraft as well. Cosmic horror is definitely what they are going for I think with the interloper.
I know there's a few different outcomes with the "fake brotherhood boys" lol
My favorite being the
"exploding fusion core"
I think the outcome may depend on which one you initially approached and talk to but I'm not a 100% for sure on that.

What if The Interloper is actually the God Head from Skyrim? It dreams the skyrim universe into being, and when it awakes, that universe shall end. It'd link the 2 universes in a mind blowing, yet believable way.

Those Brotherhood Bandits, I've found them reliably between the Pumpkin House and the nearby Fissure site.
That storyteller, if you have the right dialogue with him & listen to his entire story, the Flatwoods Monster has a high chance to appear & mind control him & his doggos. I had this happen at the random encounter location near that building you went into with the door code 748250. He is often found though near Gorge Junk Yard, over the road where the tents are.
Speaking of that building with the door code, immediately to the right after opening the door, there is the plan for a Shielded Lining Operative Underarmour. Unless someone else picked it up, it's guaranteed to be there.
I have a camp right in front of the Mad Hatter location, that specific camp of mine is a tribute to game Fallout Shelter (most people refer to it as a dolls house because the entire front is open.)

The encouter with the stranger in the suit says everything. "Did you wake up to your surroundings?" FallOut 76 takes place in a simulation and the chalk door is the way out.
Glad that I discovered the Brotherhood impersonators on my own, made me chuckle seeing them.

Yeah they are funny to run in to you lol nice you caught them out there! And for sure. Moving forwards lore videos will be a more regular thing, branching out to include the other Fallout titles as well.
I've always enjoyed the stuff they put in that is based on the Cthulhu esq stuff. I do hope they eventually expand on that more and perhaps even have some encounters based on it. Perhaps in some future Fallout game one of the characters could even join one of said beings ( in cult fashion or perhaps something else. ) .. Of course eradicating them should be a option, same with of course some type of loot that is based on them or perhaps some ability you could gain.
Also another thing that I would love to see is something very much like the Old World Blues DLC from Fallout New Vegas.. That one was done soo well and the rewards from it where great as well.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention “The Visitor” while also discussing the Interloper given they both seem to be related.
I should have done really. I was going to talk about Ug-Qualtoth and the Fallout 4 Dunwich Borers as well but figured they should all be in their own video. Such an interesting subject!
@@UraniumFever76 I know right? Plus in the files I think there was some number tagged onto its designation as “The Visitor” if memory serves me right, implying the possibility of maybe others. I think it was like 03 or something, because I barely remember this profound discussion with some buddies about the implications of it all.
@@hiddendesire3076 it is called ‘The Visitor’ in the files! Interesting because Jeff Lane calls the Interloper ‘The Watcher’ as well. Definitely seems both are the same species. Interloper is ‘gutpuker’ in the files lol
Guess I'm the only one who knows about the pipe is life egg where you actually go get high from inhaling strange fumes from a pipe you get increased perception for 30 mins

@@James_Bee no I don't think I'm the only one who ever found it but no one talked about it or anything I was just informing the 420 friendly community that plays you can actually hit the pipe in game but only once unless you don't complete the side egg in the same world I'd have to drop out right before the end of inhaling the smoke but you wouldn't know anything about none of it untill 👉 out for ya 🤣😂🤣 but by all means get smart when you actually smart enough

10:08 I think the interloper is a punga fruit from fallout 3 point lookout. In the main mission you are required to search for a giant punga fruit and get its hallucinogenic seed
It's sad, actually. Most of these interesting secrets appeared in the release version of the game. After 4 years, the current dev team has not added anything like this

The fallout 4 lore master Oxhorn has a video where he finds some info that hints at maybe what that dolphin like creature might be.
In 4 you find out that the institute uses synth crows to spy and there is some info also that hints at them working on some sort of water type synth - it is suggested to model it after a dolphin. So maybe this creature is like a failed attempt? I mean it is very terrifying looking so that's why I say "failed" attempt lol
Also just another tiny nugget of fun information: if you shoot at that dolphin creature on the boat its stomach explodes ... I found this out by accident 🤪 hehe

@@James_Bee well if you watch the Oxhorn video.... The institute can actually be dated back to prewar.
@@James_Bee The Institute as it appears in Fallout 4 didn't, but the oldest parts of the structure are pre-war. The surviving students and faculty of C.I.T. went in and expanded to the point we see in the game.
That’s interesting! I knew about the crow watchers but didn’t know about the dolphins too. I guess the only thing with Fallout 76 might be the timeline for the Institute. Definitely something they would do!

Regarding the owlet. Hanging out with it on the rooftop. Photomode, yay! Then every time I have the right pose, angle, special effects, owlet finally notices me and runs away to another part of the roof. I think I tried five times before giving up and just taking the picture! 😂
And I was walking in Northwest Forest area between the two farms (in the direction of Aronholt, coming from the moonshine shack with the ghouls, forgot its name) this afternoon. Heard a weird noise, and I'm like oh, Flatwoods monster! Shoot, then stop to take a picture, kill it, another picture! 😂

Owlet: Incredibly creepy while being cute. The Brotherhood Bandits are fun to mess with. You can make the one in the power armor explode by suggesting something it wrong with the suit.

@@UraniumFever76 but all other robots will self destruct if you destroy their ‘arms’. My thinking is, is that the tracked protections use the robo brain algorithm for movement which is why they are different to other robots.

Yeah it’s the unofficial name for them in the Fallout series a reference to Jack Kirby the comic book artist! Not 100% sure what the link is though, I should read in to it.

I dont remember the name of the cavern. But there is an quest that takes you to it, where you are to enter a Chinese spy base. In the same cavern (You showed us the owlet in) You can allso find a infant interloper. its a bit difficult to find as it's an maze. But it's in there.

@@UraniumFever76 lol yeah i honestly want am event for it i gave em some the lore that basically i ties all the way back to fallout three and four if you notice the stone faces, and its the actual entity the cult of the mothman worship its pretty deep lovecraft style lore spanning most the franchise

So, I recently found something with the Interloper that I totally missed for years. I don't know how it connects, but the "Seahorse" in the back room of Honey House in Helvetia, isn't a seahorse at all. It's a normal horse being eaten by the Interloper.

The owlette is not a mutant actually its a just an owl without feathers lol fun fact. They do look like aliens or like some sort of mutant when they don't have feathers. You can google this image and bizarre and fascinating to see for yourself.

Hey mate! So I use DaVinci Resolve to edit my videos. Most of the transitions are just fade to colour black which are a feature in the program. I could do a video on it if it helps!

Well I get it's not for everyone and clearly you aren't happy with it, which is fair enough. It definitely has a lot of issues. But a lot of people still do find the game fun and enjoy aspects of it, which is also fair enough. Not much more to say on it than that!
The interloper is gonna be a future dlc I bet. Finally explain the statues and the hp story
