Hi Mandy, all your videos are very helpful. Thank you so much for that.
I have a unique scenario which I guess very few people face during their immigration journey.
I have a concurrently filed GC petition (I-140 premium, I-765, I-131, I-485) by a company for future employment which was filed in 2021 and has been pending for more than 2years now. In-between my application was transferred to Field Office where I attended an Interview and got a RFE which was responded on Jan 2023. Recently I was informed by the company that there is a "Intent to Revoke Notice" on the I-140. The company has responded to the NOIR and USCIS received the documents few days back.
I came to U.S in 2016 and graduated in 2018. I started working with my currently Employer with OPT EAD since 2019 and got my H1B in 2022. I am still with my employer and planning to go for H1B Stamping. I am aware that H1B is a dual intent visa and my pending petition is for future employment from different company.
Will the pending petition and the status of "Intent to Revoke" on I-140 create any issue for my H1B interview?
Should I wait for the decision on the pending petition or it's ok to go for H1B stamping?
How long do you think will take for USCIS to make a decision on my pending petition?
Your insight will be very helpful 🙂
Thank you again for your dedication. 🙂
I was looking forward to get some tips in handling the interview and my, I can listen to your voice all day! So reassuring and relaxing. 😎👍

@@ZFvisa Hello Mandy, good day. I'm preparing for my US Visa interview for my masters program in the US. My i20 shows a duration of three years whereas we mostly know that masters program is for two years. I indicated in my ds160 form that it's three years and I've already submitted.
Please do you recommend that I resolve it to two years or leave it as three years as indicated in my application form.
Also, could this be a basis to be denied?
Question out of all the applicants you had interviewed what percentage you denied? 😊😊

I got approved yesterday! it was my first application. I was among a group of 3 including my daughter and brother. The first i heard about elevated pitch was from you. i could see the officer was impressed with my elevated pitch got that appove paper in less than 5min. I thank so much👍👌🇯🇲
Congrats!
Can you tell me which type of question they asked from you?
congrats for ur visa! May i ask what do u mean by elevated pitch? I will try to apply again as i was denied back in 2018
Hi Andreen what did they ask u
@@joemalone1908 elevated pitch is giving the officer full details about a question so they dont of to ask u another question on the same topic eg i was ask " so you have a sister in the us"? my response was yes sir not only one sis but two and then i proceeded to tell him their addresses, occupations and how long they are in the us. so he just went on to another question. so thats the elevated pitch. hope u understand. keep it short but never answer any questions with one word
I got my visa my visa approved last month for my first trial due to your help. Keep it up, thanks
I'm glad to hear that.
Hi, can you tell me what questions putt a visa officer
i am impressed about your education, please keep it up
You’re genius!! The questions was spot on. I had $200,000 in my savings account and own 2 properties valued at $2mil. Was going for 10 days. Visa approved. Have been previously denied USA visa 20 years ago so I didn’t qualify for ESTA

Hi Mandy! Thank you for making these videos 🤗
Thank you Ma'am ❤this is a great help for us, me and my k2 who are having interview at US Embassy soon!
Best of luck!
I sent my mom a graduation invitation when I got my master's degree in 2018. The visa officer already knew that my mom was as widow and that my dad was a professor of university, and denied her a tourist visa with no reason explaining the denial. I ended up walking up the stage alone with no real family members to cheer at me. She got denied a few years ago a visa for a conference in the US when my dad was still alive and was asked questions if she ever went overseas which she did, she spent almost 10 years in Belgium when my dad was doing his PhD and for some undisclosed reasons, she got denied visa with no reason again which is extremely disrespectful and demeaning. As in every interview, there is always that subjective factor that comes into play. Also, there is to a significant extent, a lot of evil going on with some of those officers.
From my observations, these officers have been instructed by their higher-ups to assume that every visa applicant has a hidden ulterior motive to do any of the following once they successfully entered the US: (1) stay and work illegally in the US, (2) marry a US citizen under a sham marriage and then elope and (3) commit terrorist activities on US soil. Thus, the burden of guilt is already placed on the applicant and he or she must prove beyond reasonable doubt their innocence.
@@brandenburg2388 Of course, that's how they work they assume that visa applicants are out there to scam the system and what they gotta do is to challenge them until they prove and convince them that its not the case.
@@BT-zw2ix hi. Your mom may not have met the requirements for own financial capacity. Even if you say you'll sponsor her, she must prove that she has the means to pay for the trip on her own. Plus she must have strong ties to her country (good job/ business, ownership of real property or vehicle, etc). For travel history, they usuallly consider travel as a tourist (shows financial capacity). Her time abroad when your dad was studying for his degree doesn't really count as "plus points".
@@kitty_s23456 She met all those requirements, in Africa being a professor of university is an upper middle class title. My dad left her real estates (& cars). She works for the government in the ministry of education because she is an assistant professor at the university of Kinshasa, she had a well fournished bank account. She's traveled extensively in Africa as well. And she had no business overstaying her visa, staying in the US with the Massachusetts very cold and harsh weather just staying home, or trying to get some bullshit under the table job wiping old asses in nursing homes. It was in the Trump era, right-wing leaning immigration officers domestically & overseas were all embolded by Trumps racist and xenophobic rhetoric. I've seen people without fullfilling all the requirements you mentioned being issued visas and overstaying their visa and now mocking immigration officers in Kinshasa's US embassy on how dumb they were to give them tourist bisas to attend fake weddings in the US. My mom only wanted to attend my graduation and go back. You can't assume that everybody from developping countries is out there trying to scam the system, it's just not right.
I agree some officers have unjustified prejudice and evil in them to turn people down.
Watching your videos helped me & my family (wife, kids) in getting our B1/B2s, we're now planning our trip to NYC,SF,LA. Just want to share that based on our experience, its all about answering honestly & confidently. None of our docs were looked at, but you can tell the visa officer was carefully going thru our DS-160. Our interview took roughly 3mins, asking about our finances, kids' school, home ownership, etc. and at the end he just said "visas approved guys!" Thanks & keep it up!
Great news! Hope you have a fantastic trip!
Please can you mention some of the questions they asked you?

Hey madam, all what you have said is true. I have a pending immigrant case which I’m waiting for my interview appointment and I applied for visiting visa to visit my wife and kids but the officer denied me and all his questions was about my family and my pending application and my previous visa denied. I had a visa denied before on the Dv lottery program because of the delay of my security clearance, and my family left me behind. I didn’t receive my clearance until the Dv process ended that year because there was no time to process my visa. Thank you for your service

Hi Mandy, thank you for the mentions of previous visas experiences, I was refused F1 visa for my undergraduate courses twice in 2001 and since then I have not had any reason to apply again. Now I want to apply for F1 for masters this time. What do you think of my situation?

Hi Mandy! Thank you so much for your videos, it certainly helps to be a bit more prepared for what’s coming at that interview (mine is next week)! Speaking of things that Visa Officers know at the time of the interview, do you know whether the history of applying for Green Card Lottery is visible to them? What should we say
Hello Mandy, I just have simple 2 questions-Do visa officers check how many colleges and universities you have previously applied whether it was approved or rejected, and also the documents you gave to universities or colleges that you have applied should they verify or not..especially for U.S and Canada visa officers?
No.
Your messages were really helpful, thanks.
I had visit Visa approved in 2018 while I was waiting for my immigrant visa approval which eventually approved 6 months later. I have traveled to UK, Australia & many places in Asia which helped for my US visa application, I believe.
Do you mind me asking why you think you had the visa approved while you had a pending immigrant visa? Did you own property back in home country, or a work contract or something like that?
Hello Mandy, I am a student at a university, and I am participating in SWT programm this year. Actually, I live in Uzbekistan, and getting J1 visa approved is very hard this year, and the embassy is denying more than 90% of the applicants this year due to the fact that more than 40% of applicants did not return to Uzbekistan last year. So, what would you advise to do in order to increase the chance to get my visa approved?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Mandy thank you for your video. A friend was once rejected for a B-1 Visa twice in 2013 for a volunteer retreat twice with a scientific society. However 10 years later their situation has changed, they are married civily, are working and their wife is working a stable job. They also now have two Masters one in Business and another in Science. This friend has been accepted for a Masters but with an option to do a PhD in that school after a year and got their I-20 form and is about to do an F-1 Student Visa application. They have applied for a loan also from a reputable international financier with a 10 year payment period. The loan they got is enough for a year (2 semesters) being above $40000US. The friend is scared of the previous rejection and would like to be better prepared? Also wanted to know If they can apply for F-2 Visas despite not being able to travel with their family to the US? This friend also owns a property (piece of land) that they bought for >9000$? Does this prove ties to their country in addition to 3 kids who are in high school and elementary school as well?

Hello Mandy, this is the first time I am seeing your video and I am so full of questions...but lemme just narrate my experience..I am Nigerian and I and my wife were denied USA tourist visa back in 2011. The reasons given by the interview officer was that No 1: we are newly married and have no travel experience and that we should acquire that first, No 2: inadequate proof of financial capability, No 3: to cap it all, my wife was about 8 months plus heavy with our first child😁.. our situation has changed tremendously since then ( although we weren't doing badly back then) financially we are far better now and our 2 boys are 11 and 8 years old respectively. we have also traveled as a family to just two countries for holiday( UAE and South Africa). now we want to add UK to the list.. I was now wondering about our chances if we decide to try going to the USA again after our UK trip...what do you think lady?
I think going to Uk and coming back will boast ur home ties. Uk and usa are ranked the same for u to go Uk and come back before ur visa exp date. Definitely they will gain more confidence in u that u are coming back.
@@TymexTymex-bl9gk definitely this is true coming back to your home country will show the strong ties for you and would get positive view to the visa officer

I have been to the UK more than 20 times and to the Schengen countries more than 20 times as a businessman.I was surprised that my visa was denied because the Visa Officer thinks I dont have strong ties to my country. Probably because my kids who now resides in the US(Both of them are US Citizens) are undergraduates in the University don't live with us in Nigeria. In 2013, my B-1 visa application was denied, followed by a denial of my F1 visa application in 2022. Hi Mandy. I got refused a B1/B2 visa before while I was still underage. Now 4 years later I’m reapplying. However, when they asked me to explain on the form why was I denied previously I simply said “consulate did not specify” but now I remembered she did handed me a slip with “lack of ties to your home country” should I fill out another ds 160 stating that they denied me because they thought I lacked ties to my country or is that something minor? I remembered being told no with no verbal explanation or the exact reason that’s why I said consulate did not specified..
Hi Mandy! I am a retired teacher, and had history of working outside my country as well as travel to other countries. I chose “Retired” in the work experience in my DS-160 form. As I continued filling-up with the rest until I have completed the DS-160 form with my photo upload, I noticed that there was no option to fill-up my Travel history. Why is that so?
Alhamdulillah my US Visa got approved 🤲 thanks for the supporting videos
Fantastic! Safe travels!
How did you go about it, work visa.?
I had an I-140 petition (employment based green card) pending and had no problem to extend my L-1 non immigrant visa in a US consulate. But I think this is because L-1 is a "dual intent" visa? The Consular officer saw the pending I-140 and asked me whether I would still return to Europe in case that would be denied (or the subsequent I-485). I answered of course and I got my new L-1.
Very helpful video. I would like a session with you.
Hey Mandy, how to explain about reason why visa was denied so that the officer sees some improvement in the current interview? Thank you.
Hi Mandy,
First off thank you for insightful info. I am soon to be US citizen, it is just matter of getting N-400 interview. In fact I had an interview that was scheduled for January 9th 2023, but unfortunately I received a call from USCIS officer on Thursday, January 5th 2023 and was told my interview would be canceled and the officer assured my in8will be reschedule soon. Any how my question is regarding something else. I have a sister back home and she wants to learn English and I suggested she should apply for student Visa. During the interview if officer asked her do you have a relative live in US would it be disadvantage if she said yes. How should she answer that. She can not say she has a brother that is citizen, because technically I am not citizen yet.
Thank you in advance!

Please do a vidoe of possible questions to prepare for another interview after a J2 deniel .
Thank you for educating important things!! In 2017 somebody filed me Immigtn application. How do Visa Officer already know about it at the interview in 2023 my next Visa interview?
Thank you so very much
Hi, my F-1 was denied a couple of times in 2010. I had applied for masters in the US after finishing my masters at the home country. Later, I gave up and pursued doctorate in my country and went to other european countries for postdocs. What will be the situation if I apply for H1B / J-1 now (after securing a postdoc / job from US research institute)? I believe my academic profile has been changed significantly with lots of achievements. Will F-1 refusals affect my H1B chances? How long the visa refusal records are stored in the system?
They ask you type of questions that have already been provided in the application. If they have a bad mood they can deny but you can appeal and get it reviewed by a different person and sex!!
Excellent explanation. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Hey. Great video, it was really helpful. I would like to know how to answer the interviewer if they ask me about my plan to immigrate one day to the US (as a doctor, which I do plan to but not yet or anytime close to me applying for a visit visa). Should tell them or should just say no?
Thank you, so much for the insight. Please, if you have just applied for the lottery and have not been nominated and you have gone ahead to apply for a student visa and you are asked about your immigration intent, what should your answer be?
Hi Mandy :) Your videos are a big help.
For transit visa application (from PH to Dominican Republic), do I need to present the Dominican Republic visa on my US Transit visa interview?
Watched this right before my interview, I was granted a visa but unfortunately my child wasn’t . I would have rather it was the other way around since she really wanted to go to Disney with her father for her 6th birthday. Either way I am grateful 🙏🏾❤
I’m so sorry to hear that. Did the father apply at the same time?
Hello, Mandy. Thank you for your good work. I was denied a visa interview in 2004, I never applied again. As a health and safety personnel, I'm to represent my company at a health and safety conference next year, will the fact that I was denied a visa almost 20 years ago be a determining factor? I'm now married with a 7 year old daughter
Hello Mandy
The last part you highlighted was exactly my situation right
I have an ongoing green card visa which is still in the process
Also have the Ds-160 interview actually the Ds-160 was done
Before the green card petition 🤔
Hi! This is so informative. Does a previous denied tourist visa affect a present employment visa application?
