I remember as a teenage exchange student back in 2005, my visa officer asked me, "So you a student, huh? What subject do you like studying at school?" I told them I love everything, but my top picks are science, math and any language subjects... "Is that so, why'd you like languages?" she said. I answered I just love them, perhaps cuz I came from a family that is multicultural... "Alright kiddo. Do great things when you're in US okay?" That just stuck with. My first visa experience.
True. They never look at my documents. They just ask me what I do for a living and why I’m going to the US. Very short answer. That’s how I was given a visa. Most importantly don’t lie.
Thanks for confirming what I suspected for a long time.. deciding ViSA based on 30sec- 3 min interviews not bothering to check documents. you realize how ridiculous that is and how many legit cases you likely rejected? As for fake docs those can be cross checked and can be asked before interview for background checks. Still I would like to thank you for being so candid about the process.
The documents are reviewed through the process before you get to the interview. Partly, why it takes so long. Fiancé has her interview today. Wish us luck 😊
My wife had a very different experience. We had prepared adequate (according to us, of course) document as required, but she was asked to furnished a lot more extra documents, like husband's bank account, husband's birth cert, husband's salary slips for last 6 months.... in a very RUDE way. We eventually made another appointment a week later and was approved by a very pleasant lady officer almost immediately without looking at extra documents. I took note of the rude officer and reported to the US visa office. They acknowledged my complaint but no further progress.
@@raknoknak Well I think the fella badly needs help in public service. My wife told me that he was so loud and rude, and accusing my wife of hiding something. He loudly asked my wife, "Are you sure you are married to "him" (me)?" He did the same to others in waiting. He must had had a bad day with his wife, if he had any.
There’s a difference between immigrant visa and non immigrant visa. What she’s talking about is a non immigrant visa. Your wife was probably applying for an immigrant visa.
@@tanty2475Some officers are different, not all of them. Curiosity to be of course, is that she is talking about immigration attorney and all, she is talking about immigration, not visitor visa. But it is certainly a good video.

Thank you Mandy. Short and straight to the point👌. Yesterday i had an interview and my visa B1/B2 was approved. From my personal experience, the interview count by 95% and your supporting documents by 5% . The way you explain things really matters and make sure the first two questions are more convincing.

Excellent insight Mandy. From my time as a visa officer, I can say that I completely agree with this video. Officers don't have time to look at documents and depending on the country, you can't trust them either. Another reason that you didn't mention, when Consular Officers are learning the language they will be working on, more emphasis is put on speaking than reading, and so usually an officer is much better at interviewing than they are reading documents in the local language. This is all excellent advice though and tracts 100% with my experience. I can remember approving applicants' visas and then they look confused and saying "but you didn't look at my papers yet? I spent so long preparing everything."
Hi How should I prepare for my f1 visa interview am going for my master's degree in business analytics I have 9years experience am funded by education loan?
This is very important part of the visa process Your facial and verbal communication is the game changer. The officer only asked me one question and told me “your visa is approved “ What are you going to do in the USA? Meanwhile she was only looking straight into my eyes as I answered her.
@@ZFvisamy girlfriend had her interview today unfortunately they denied her and a bunch of people they never even looked at her documents 7 months of waiting for this interview I really want my girlfriend out here in the states.
Getting a US visa is like getting a graduate diploma -- there's some money to spend and papers to submit beforehand, but the true test is an _oral_ assessment.
I disagree! I'm a legit student, I applied for an F1 visa and they rejected me after asking 2-3 basic questions (my name, etc)... Now I'm doing a Masters of Applied Computer Science in Canada and will soon return to my country after completion. The process is ok but it should be better for everyone (many people don't like to tell long stories... I want to reply with single words or short phrases)
It is all on the mood of the person taking the interview. I have received UK visas on a regular basis without any glitches ally life BUT the US department asked me to come back with some unrelated documents and I never reapplied for that country. There are so many other beautiful and friendly countries that are cheaper and have a better immigration policy
Whatever do you mean? Just come on in at the southern border. All welcome. . . no checks, no interviews, no documents! And then we'll bus you to wherever you'd like to go! 😉
If ur lazy to watch the whole video. She basically says you’ll get more chance to be granted a visa on how u answer the questions through the interview and not rely solely on your docs
If you have an issue with your visa application or you are attending a visa interview for the first time, Mandy is your go to person. Tested and trusted
Hey @ZFvisa, love the information. I was denied visa 3 times. I don't know why but all I got was a paper that has a list of things that probably be the cause. I think they should tell you the reason though. Love to hear from you.
Mandy is absolutely right about this. With all the initial documentation already attached to the application, the Visa officers already have a good idea on the applicant's background, otherwise there wouldn't be an interview invitation in the first place.
Hey there, folks! Let's clear up a common misconception: immigrant and non-immigrant visa processes are actually simpler than you might think! You don't need fancy lawyers or experts to handle this. Seriously, no one knows your story better than you, so filling out those visa application forms? Piece of cake! The occasional rejection? It's often due to little errors from miscommunication with application preparers. But guess what? You can totally handle this DIY style, as long as you can read and type. By taking charge, you're saving time, money, and setting yourself up for success. Trust me, you've got this! 🌟
Same here. When I went to consulate, I was expecting nothing. I know it’s their country and they would decide to let me in or not regardless how good I would be now or in future. They have right to screen me and refusing me no matter whatever reason or for no reason. I can’t tell them what to do and what not to do, I had no right.
@@theteammelk You must be lucky. When you apply for tourist visa, apart from, you having enough funds and plan of your tour, what they want to know if there is a possibility that applicant has intention to stay forever. So, after your tourist visa is rejected, it is a surprise that they approved your immigrant visa. So, good luck.

I was declined 2001 (was honest) but I guess my paper and status is not good enough to convince the visa officer . I went back for my B1/B2 visa interview in 2014 and was granted the visa. I believe that being honest is the key, no show offs, just be yourself. It took me 13 years to build up my paper and status. When I applied last 2014, I again had the slim chance of being approved because I was already petitioned by my sister but I read a lot and watch some blogs from the US Embassy, it was not an automatic denial but you really have to convince the officer that you’ll comeback to your own country. HONESTY is the key, you just have to make good in the interview, just answer what is being asked and don’t over do it! Love the video very straightforward and helpful.
Took the officer just 3 minutes to deny my son a visa . She cut short his explanation and simply said , "your visa is denied , you can reapply ". He was never ever interested in going to the US but a job offer here in india for which the company was sponsoring his training made him apply . It has only harden his dislike of going to the US . 😅
@elsadcukali4801 Punjab ? Uh , what has that got to do with this ? Did they hurt you? For as far as I know , they are the most helpful and generous community . And why take offense to my comment ? And Indian curry masala is by far one of the best !! 😊 Give it a try .
My US Visitors Visa was approved last year May 19, 2023. I have watched most of your videos, (including this one), before the interview. They helped a lot. Thank You. We had great time in New York city in July 2023.
The trick start when you fill your application form, they ask you many questions, if not consinstan in your aswers año algorithm program inmediatly determine yes or no. The visa Officer, knows that, simple as that.
I was sincere when I applied for me and my son. I got denied, broke my son's heart, so I never went back. I have some friends who lied but they got approved. So, thank you for the advice. But because of how the process is done, it's really hard to know how applicants should do it and if Visa Officers in general are really being fair.
Why would you even say they don't even have time to look at the documents ? Then what is the point here ? What's your discretion ? Then we should just fill forms online and submit online , it all does not make sense ma'am
Last year, I was working full time, budgeting groceries, unable to afford date nights, and missing time with my kids. Now I learned how to make money online. Now am a SAHM, homeschooling, and making profits every week.

So true! My wife was denied a tourist visa because we are married! We own property and businesses abroad and truly only wanted to visit my family for the holidays. The lil snot officer just nonchalantly denied her. We were crushed. I’m retired military, and was a Psychologist with the VA and my wife is an attorney. Some of those ppl shouldn’t even have jobs!

She is a registered nurse. Given the current critical shortage on nurses, the US would be lucky to have her. She has been denied a tourist visa 3 times already. She owns a car, has land, and has money. We don't want to move to the US. We just want to visit. On her first interview, they denied a tourist visa for a doctor who was in front of her in line. Meanwhile, they are letting terrorists walk across the southern border and giving them a bus ride to the city of their choice. It boggles my mind.
My experience was opposite applying for a student visa. He asked for finance statements He looked at my share stock statement asked to see originals. And when he was convinced gave the visa. This was in 1983.
Going to the embassy for the interview mostly is just formality. Before you get there, your visa has already been approved or denied based on the paperwork you submitted when you where applying.
I got my visa approved! This was my second attempt and I was a bit nervous but watching your videos really helped me gain confidence on how the process work and what to do❤ knowing this really changed my approach to the interviewer
I agree with you 100% I have been denied two times and each time the officer never looked at my documents and I was sincere about my visit to the US and my documents were genuine then one of the officer’s response was “I’m not in the right mood to grant your visa today please try another country” I was so furious to think that they issue visas based on mood
Hi Mrs Mandy my friend applied for a tourist visa she made him go take passport pictures he had already new ones she didn't look at them he came back asked why he was going he was honest she denied him and he asked what's was the reason she said cause I can can you help? My wife had exactly one thing to show, and that was our wedding picture which showed both her parents and mine, and the officer said "your mother in law is very beautiful." It was a very quick pass, since extremely seldom are the groom's parents present in a philippine wedding to a foreigner, but in my case my parents really were present.
The interviewer just asked me one single question .. what is your responsibilty as a system Analyst ... I answered in short single sentence .. thats all He congratulated me and granted visa
I didn’t know that Consular Officers working for the US are allowed to ignore looking at documents. Scandinavian embassies do not make decisions without looking at documents, even if documents are fake. It’s not a thorough decision unless documents have been checked. Discrepancies can only be confirmed by looking at documents and comparing it to the interview. The interview plays an important role in the applicants visa being accepted or rejected.
Us government is extremely corrupt. The interview fee they charge is equal to more than what most people make per month in many African countries. They deny basically all of them. Recently, two chess champions around age 10 were invited to travel from Kenya to the USA for the world chess championship. They were both denied on 214b, risk of becoming an illegal. The ambassador for Kenya/USA was there, took a selfie with the kids, posted online and said don't give up maybe next time you apply you can gom
My experience is limited to a non-immigrant B-2 visa, intervied this month in Frankfurt/Germany. The time the officer used for the interview was in the mentioned time frame, while I doubt that it really can be done in 30 seconds. No documents were requested in the invitation, other than the passport and the DS-160 confirmation page. None. But I have seen other people bringing lots of paper because it seems to be the urban legend it would help or be necessary. - My interview was 2 minutes, while I think my answer to the first question was already suffcient. The following smalltalk helped to support what I had answered then. As far as I could see, none of the about 10 people in my line got the visa denied.- It may be different for applicants from other countries, or if you apply for an immigrant visa.
The best advise I would give someone, more especially myself, to be successful in getting a visa is to try and speak like you maam. Soft spoken, to the point and clarity in thought and speech. To coin a phrase I'm speechless 😂
Visa fees is just another way to rip of people. World wide Visa fees amount to Billions of USD. One of the worst countries for this is the USA. They claim NO visa is needed for example for Swiss citizen's, however, one needs an ESTA, and this costs the same as a Visa. This sucks, doesn't it? NB: Swiss passport holders can have the ESTA to enter the country. This multiple-entry document guarantees visa-free travel and is valid for 2 years. With an ESTA, nationals of Switzerland can stay in the United States for up to 90 days without a visa. The US issues an ESTA for tourism, business, and medical purposes.
Mandy. You really helped me with your tips for the interview. I withdraw my passeport today and they gave me 10 Years b1b2. You are experienced enough to help people Who seek travelling to the Us I recommend people to pay your services in order to be ready during the interview.
It’s a b2 visa for tourism and medicals while b1 is for business and conferences… however you also have to option to pick both as in B1/B2 visa (I prefer this)… Regardless of which ever you pick you’ll still be granted a b1/b2 visa if approved… the reason it’s separated as B1 or B2 is just so you specify which you are coming to the US for …
I would like to know whether people with some sort of social anxiety disorder face problems here. Because your antennas are so calibrated to a certain bandwith of "normal", I imagine that some kind of "alarm" goes of in your brain if someone shows signs of nervosity or feeling uncomfortable speaking to you. How do you handle those suspicions?
Good Day Mandy, Thank you for giving us tips and information in regards with the US Visa Processing, interviews, documents etc ... Really these information is very much helpful to the people, especially people like me who are appearing for Visa first time. FYI: My File was been submitted in USCIS at early July and my application has been approved on 4th August and original approval (I-797B etc...) documents are posted to me by USPS (United States Postal Service), New Jersey International Registered Mail on 16th August' 2023 to me to deliver in Cape Town. The delivery period supposed to me around 15-20 business days, but its already over 40 business days (55 days) since its posted. At least USPS tracking is not available for South Africa, and No Response from South Africa Post Office as well. I need to attend for my "H1B1 Non-Immigrant Work Visa" urgently in 'US Consulate Office in Cape Town, South Africa'. But original documents are not delivered to me yet and not sure how long that takes further as neither myself nor the USPS not the SAPO could able to track the parcel whereabouts. So not sure whether I get the documents now. My employer submitted application for new copies of approval documents, but it may take further 6-8 weeks to be delivered to them and again it takes another 3-4 weeks to be delivered to me. So, definitely its too long process (+/- 3 months) from now. I have my approval document copies in my mail drive that has been shared by my employer in USA. I can download in colour copies, Can I submit these "colour photocopies of approval documents' to the Visa Officer" when I appeared for availing my H1B Visa. PLEASE ADVISE. Also, please advise, when I landed in USA (upon H1B1 Work Visa approved), should I need to "show my original file/case approval documents (I-791B etc ...) along with H1B Visa at Port of Entry ? OR the Immigration Officials (at Departure in RSA and Arrival in USA) allow me to fly/enter in to USA. PLEASE ADVISE. Request with you to kindly advise and respond back to me as urgently as possible. Thank you in advance for your kind advise and suggestion. Regards, VK REDDY
My experience with US consulates and embassies around the world have been great. However I cannot say that about the processes at consulates and embassies of my country of birth (that I won’t name here). My first experience with a US consular officer was when I was applying for a student visa. The lady was very friendly, and provided me advice about what to expect once I landed in the US. I still remember her friendly smile and words of encouragement.
Î made the experince that the visa officer always had a look at the documents while asking me questions. For sure they didn't spent a deep look into those documents. Just having them was enough for them. I can confirm that they asked me directly what my purpose was to be in the USA and listen with concentration to my answers. And better be honest, it's always the best.
I agree! Having went thru it personally just last month. Wish I’d seen this video first. My wife’s two kids(age 13 & 15)had their interviews in late March, and believe me that packet was THICK. With everything needed for an immigration interview…times 2! And guess what, one of the kids visa was refused, because they needed an updated copy of my W2 on the CEAC website. Here’s the thing, if they would’ve just looked in the damn packet, IT WAS THERE! Times 2! For multiple years even….all the docs were deemed documentarily qualified in December of 2020, via the NVC website. Didn’t get passed thru for interviews til March of 2023….so some docs on the ceac portal were outdated, but eeeeeeeverything was on point in the packet….only thing they asked for was the kids birth certificates. Not gonna lie, felt some kinda way about that. So yea, she right about this. Go ahead and put her expertise to use. I’m sure the cost will be worth it. Save yourself the hassle I had. And hopefully get your loved ones home quicker. The wife and I started the petition for her kids 07/16/2017…didn’t get them here in the US til 04/19/2023. Save yourself some time. Don’t do it alone. IT CAN BE DONE, but best to find an expert. Some one like this lady here. Sure wish I had of.
My family now lives in the US as PRs but this video really struck a nerve with me. Over a decade ago, my wife, a PR in Canada awaiting Citizenship ceremony (already approved for citizenship), was denied a simple US Visitor Visa by the Calgary Canada location US Immigration Consulate. She came back downstairs from the "interview" in tears. EVERY single Chinese individual in the group (over 30 individuals) had been rubber-stamped in. What didn't help her horrendous shock and grief was that they all emerged from the elevator jubilant, and giving each other hugs and fist bumps all around us standing there, But she, as a Filipino, was denied entry before she even spoke, not figuratively...LITERALLY. She told me through her heaving sobs (we had prepared METICULOUSLY over six months for that day) that the officer looked her up and down, didn't even look at her folder, and just as you said, literally TOSSED IT ASIDE. He took one look at her and said I'm not convinced you won't immigrate, so I'm going to deny you today. To add supreme insult to painful injury, like all immigrants, she was told DO NOT QUESTION WHY the officer made his decision to deny if he denies you. The applicant is literally TERRIFIED that by simply asking why the officer was suspicious, there will be some type of derogatory note placed into the computer, and they will NEVER get an approval!! This is ABUSIVE and INHUMANE. It is almost like prohibiting a patient from asking any questions after being told they have cancer. She stated that he was extremely cold and terse, not even speaking almost at all. What was even worse to me, as an American Citizen, was the fact that those officers couldn't even be questioned by ME, and AMERICAN CITIZEN as to why my wife was denied! They had an arrangement in that building where they went down a back elevator directly into a private parking garage and emerged through the back exit, and therefore would never have to explain to the denied applicants in any real way, why they just destroyed their life's plans. That was the only day in my entire life, I have been ASHAMED to be an American citizen. When I witnessed how my country treated a kind, honest, truthful human who only wanted to SEE the wonders of this country for a weekend at a time eg. Mall of America, Vegas, Grand Canyon, etc, I was sick to my stomach and felt like vomiting. As we made the 5 hour trip back to central Canada, I did my best to dry my wife's tears after this devastating (DEVASTATING) denial. I tried to make her feel better, all the while wanting to punch my fist in frustration and anger through a wall. She didn't get a simple VISITOR visa for several more YEARS. 1. It is UTTERLY PREPOSTEROUS that the documents are required if the officer is told NOT to look at them! It takes dozens of hours to assimilate those documents, let alone LOTS of money. But then again, NO ONE coming across the Rio Grande is required to present documents so they really should just eliminate all requirements for them for everyone, and just totally rely on a face-to-face interview! What's good for the goose is good for the gander. 2. In the time it takes the officer to deny one legal entry, who complied in good faith, with every single requirement listed by the US Immigration service, ten thousand illegals were ESCORTED across the southern border and released without even a court date. That's correct. As of the past few weeks, they are now being released or even transported (cars, vans, buses, airliners, military aircraft) in to the deep interior of the country and released WITHOUT court dates in many cases. If MILLIONS of sight-unseen, totally unvetted people, are being brought in each year, then WHY DENY ANY LEGAL APPLICANT AT ALL? To deny legal applicants while escorting illegal entrants in by the thousands each and every day, has to be the biggest, most unjust, paradox in history! I just don't get what has happened to Immigration law and order in my country.
He is right though. I am a US citizen for years now but me and my brother were both denied a US visa in the Philippines when we applied for one to go on a US trip with our parents. Our parents both have US visa at that time and have traveled to the US numerous times. They wanted to bring us along with them that time but nope, denied. We were devastated since we have been traveling together as a family in numerous countries and the US would have been a great place to visit a a family. And we have the means and resources to do so.
I totally agree with you Atty. When my husband & I applied for a non-immigrant visa, the officer did not look at our prepared docs but we answered her questions as honestly as we can. We got our 10 yr visa on 2010 & expired during the covid lockdown on 2020. We didn't have the chance to renew it then especially there was restrictions on us seniors. Until now, we did not re-applied but still thankful we had the chance to see some states during those 10 yrs that we have our visa. God bless
From my experienced, they have already studied and reviewed all your documents and they know exactly what questions to asked their interviewees. All you have to do is listen, listen and listen to what they are asking you. If you do not understand the question, you can ask them to please repeat. Do not be in a hurry to answer immediately, think it over for a few seconds which also gives you a little time to give a good answer. Make your response short and brief. DO NOT offer any information the Visa Officer did not asked. DO NOT mention any Filipino politicians name even if they are your relative, It's a NO, NO! DO give them the best truthful answers to their questions. They already know the right answer or can easily check it.
I am with you for most of it. I went with no expectation and didn’t care if they denied it. My compilation of documents were the copies of every documents, photos and letters I wrote with proof of sending them by mail or couriers. They research you well and they ask behavioral questions rather than technical. Don’t even think that they don’t read or check whatever documents you have already sent or presented on the day being interviewed. If you have nothing to hide most likely that you will be granted visa. This also apply every time you are returning at the border in the future (every time you cross the border (even after you may have become naturalized citizen)
Hi. It's best to dress in business attire or business casual. It also depends on the info on your DS160 form. (own financial capacity, strong ties, travel history)
That's so true; I have been denied four times and was always sincere and honest. I am not quite sure what it is that they are looking for. I have spoken to them with sincerity, and they sometimes don't look at you. There was an incident when I applied, and the officer's head was down, and he reached for the denial sheet without even thoroughly interviewing me. I don't see the point of going back after being denied four times.
I was denied 3 times but fortunately got it the 4th time. What I did different was change the address I used the 3 times I applied and used a hostel instead of someone's invitation. And my status changed from single to married.
Thanks for your videos... Can you explain how I could have got my B1/B2 visa approved even WITHOUT me doing my interview? It was my first US visa application, and I had no recent travel history. I was apparently approved before I even set foot in front of a visa officer. What possible reasons could have caused that to happen? Thanks for any details you can share.
Good day Ma'am Mandy, thank you for sharing this video. This is a big help for me because on October 10 this year is my tourist visa interview..I am actually do my research like this, watching a lot of videos on how to answer questions during the interview until i saw your channel...Again thank you so much ma'am Godbless
Hi been travelling to the US under Visa Waiver Esta for years. Always easy entry, no problems. Never overstayed at all. But I received an email saying my visa status has changed not authorised. I need to apply for a B2 visa now. What are my chances of B2 visa to get approved? Thanks
In my country we have to pay to apply for an American Visa, it's expensive and if a person is rejected they don't get even part of their money back, we're also given a list of documents required for the application and sometimes the officer looks at it and sometimes they don't. I've never applied but my son might want to go for study so we may have to in future
My Fiancee recently had an interview and the counselor didn't even look at any documents. Asked a few questions then gave her a refusal letter and told her to send requested additional documents to embassy. One was not on list of required documents, how ever my fiancee had a copy. The other was a request for steps taken to re-establish domicile in states and had they looked at proof of relationship, they would have seen that I secured residence two and half years ago. We have since sent requested documents (which I hope they look at), and awaiting next step/decision. Sorry to hear that I wasted many hours, but it is a necessary on the off chance they will peruse. By the way they didn't even take or look at I 134 Proof of financial support. Frustrating
@bruce - if the purpose is "to visit BF/ GF" and the sponsor is the BF/ GF, the applicant is usually denied (esp if she has no financial capacity of her own). Having a BF/ GF is a red flag. Reason: risk of migration/ overstay. It's only rare cases that a GF/BF gets the visa. If she wants to re-apply, then she must have financial capacity & strong ties. If you want her to live in the US, you must file for the K1 (fiancée) visa. Btw if you do file for K1, she shouldn't file for B1B2 during the waiting period because the tourist visa will be denied if there's a pending petition.
My dad's immigrant visa is refused by the Mumbai consulate. They put the application for administrative review, 221g. They asked for additional information like siblings' names and what he's done after his retirement. It's frustrating, they should have asked this in the application form rather than refusing it at the last minute. Why do they do that?
There is no hard and fast rule! It is a head or a tail! However, preparing all supporting documents is as important as preparing for the possible questions the visa officer may ask. Go prepared!.
I’m speaking more generally for tourist and student visas. For employment-based visas like the H-1B and L-1, they will review your petitions and letters.
Thank you for insights...to be successful in interviews is much necessary ...hope these videos will be help me with my visa application as well ... 2 minutes so less time minutes dedicated for one application is quite surprising as well ... But I read in USCIS website processing time for decision that include stamping on passport submitted during interview could vary from few days to months depending on type of visa one is applying as well ...some 😮type of visa same day and few could take one month
Very frustrating!!! I am a USA citizen married to a Thai. I told the USA ambassador of Thailand my wife was rejected last year at a town hall meeting. I told him I am retired USA military and never want to move back to the USA. I hate the process. His second in command told me to reapply. It’s been a year so this time Going to apply this in Laos as only a two day waiting period. We built an amazing life overseas and documents would help show that imo. Playing by the rules as a green card would be fraud if we don’t move to the USA. In almost 3 years have only visited the USA once. An immigration lawyer gave me advice and said to lie that we are moving to the USA and apply for a green card. Makes no sense.
First of all, thank you for your service! Second of all, do not lie - you'll only create more problems. Send us an email to info@zfvisa.com, and we can help you prepare.
Since they (NVC) already have all your doc verified and qualified they need not to look your stack, my experience through my wife and children interview, yes the only questioned ask what will you do in the US, wife replied have been married for couple of years can't wait to be in my home there with the family and get settled and have the kids get ready for school. She said the visa officer smiled and said your visa id approved
You are truly expert and same is my opinion as for as I know. One should be truthful regarding what he travels for. I have my interview in July. Let's see what happens
it's all a scam, they tell you to bring all the documents, but then don't have the time to look at them? But they have the time to take your money...hmmmm...they already have decided to approve you or deny you from looking at your application BEFORE the interview. They should just tell you to not waste everyone's time by coming in for the interview, but then they need to justify why they took your money...it's all a scam

Good morning officer Good morning Why USA? Explaining( intrupted ) Why this university? Started explaining after 3 seconds slipped the white slip along with the passport like he was just ready to refuse before the interview. As a student I want to ask visa officers. Is this a joke to you guys? Indian students are nothing more than source of income to these countries. Period
My son’s visa to learn flying in the US was rejected twice, even though he already had a 10-year visitor visa. None of the reasons you’ve stated applied. I suspect that getting a visa or not depends arbitrarily on the mood of the officer that day, some quotas that have been set for a particular field and whatever is the latest policy flavour-of-the-month in force. Anyway, now he’s happily pursuing his flying in India, and my wife and I have no intention of ever visiting the US, even for tourism.
How do they decide to refuse only after seeing ds160 application form eventhough applicant has good employment and has no any problem with his profile? Honestly I was rejected in 1.5 minutes by counselor officer in kualalampur last month, he didnt even ask me the supporting documents.. If they decide to refuse, the officers should clearly explain to the applicants why we refuse to give you visa.. My humble request is, officers should give atleast 5 minutes to each applicant for collecting non refundable application fees 160$ otherwise refund the amount.
Thank you for the informational video. But Doesn't matter how good your answers were. It totally depends on the officer's mood, because they have tons of loads and they wanna go home and have dinner, and relex But its not fair.
Dear Mandy Feuerbacher, I made a mistake while booking my F-1 visa appointment, where I put my father's name instead of mine. I have informed the embassy, and they advised me to proceed with the appointment and inform the officials about the mistake during the interview. However, I am concerned that this mistake may impact my chances of getting the visa. Can you please advise me on how to handle this situation during the interview? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Mandy, thanks for the amazing information that you drop on your channels. I applied for a visiting Visa to the USA in 2015, an agent convinced me to fill in that i was married with a child as a proof of ties to my home country and i agreed to go along with it. My application was denied that i did not qualify for the visa that i was applying to. How will this affect me if i consider reapplying for a visa to the USA or any other country?
Wow great insights. So why are we told to carry all those documents if the Visa officer won't look at them? My view just ask people to carry the necessary documents and leave the rest at home.
Thanks for your insights, Mandy. Please what are your thoughts on the interview waiver option for B1/B2 visas for applicants whose visas have expired for less than 24 months and are still applying for the same category? Is it advantageous choosing the interview waiver or go in person for the interview no matter the fact that you qualify for the interview waiver?
The most important thing is to overcome section 214b of the immigration act. You have to convince the officer that you absolutely have to come back to your home country after visiting the U.S., ie., u have a great job, property, strong family ties, etc. Showing that u have no ties in the U.S. and there’s no way you can stay there is important too!
My wife recently got denied a B2 visa. I’m American and she’s Chinese. We live together in China and our plan for future is to stay here. We’ve been married for a year but she hasn’t got to meet my family stateside. Her English isn’t bad with me, but with strangers she gets nervous, and at her interview she totally froze. We’ve already prepared everything including the flights to USA and back so we’re trying to get another interview asap. I guess I’m wondering: how unique is our situation? Is it at all possible for me to attend to interview with her? Afterall, we’ll be traveling together & I’ll explain our situation more quickly/confidently to the officer.
I'm sorry to hear about her visa denial. People do commonly get nervous at their visa interview. You will not be able to attend with her. It's best that she gets expert preparation before her next interview. I'd be happy to help - feel free to book at www.zfvisa.com.
Your wife should not apply for a B2. It is a nonimmigrant visa, and as the spouse of a US citizen, they likely think that is strange. Reality does not match up with what the officers presume. You should get help from Mandy or someone like her.
@@alisonj1384 that’s the only visa that matches my wife’s intentions. Like this is that problem with America’s visa policies/options. They don’t understand that there are many expats around the world that enjoy their life abroad. And it is reasonable to want to visit family in the states, with their spouse, once or twice a year. Like, this assumption that everyone wants to immigrate to America is really ridiculous and just an example America’s arrogant world view. Can’t even imagine that life in other countries might be just as good or even better than in the US. And it’s simple: just give folks the option for a ‘family visa’ that can’t be used to adjust status after one enters the country. Cuz it’s truly infuriating that one must “overcome 214b” when they themselves created this system that allows people to adjust status that gets easily abused. Like, why not let everyone with enough money to travel and spend in the US just be approved for tourist visas and simply close the gap for adjusting status? After all, tourism is great for the economy, no? *sigh*

That’s a very positive experience. I’m glad!

As for fake docs those can be cross checked and can be asked before interview for background checks.

Thank you Matt! And for suggesting this very important topic.

I had flights and accommodation purchased, didn't matter to them :)
It is all on the mood of the person taking the interview. I have received UK visas on a regular basis without any glitches ally life BUT the US department asked me to come back with some unrelated documents and I never reapplied for that country. There are so many other beautiful and friendly countries that are cheaper and have a better immigration policy

Mandy is absolutely right about this. With all the initial documentation already attached to the application, the Visa officers already have a good idea on the applicant's background, otherwise there wouldn't be an interview invitation in the first place.
Exactly. Someone in Consular has already done a quick review.

Because your antennas are so calibrated to a certain bandwith of "normal", I imagine that some kind of "alarm" goes of in your brain if someone shows signs of nervosity or feeling uncomfortable speaking to you.
How do you handle those suspicions?
I just got approved today 🤩 Yep they never asked for ANY documents!
Good job!
Good Day Mandy,
Thank you for giving us tips and information in regards with the US Visa Processing, interviews, documents etc ...
Regards,
VK REDDY
My experience with US consulates and embassies around the world have been great. However I cannot say that about the processes at consulates and embassies of my country of birth (that I won’t name here). My first experience with a US consular officer was when I was applying for a student visa. The lady was very friendly, and provided me advice about what to expect once I landed in the US. I still remember her friendly smile and words of encouragement.
I’m so glad!
Wow...I believe it's truly gonna help Visa aspirants in a big way, Keep going 😊
Thank you.
Sorry to hear that was your experience!
Thank you very much for informative videos. I am going to have my interview in 26 days. Wish me luck!
Good luck! You've got this.
I'm sorry to hear that was your wife's experience.
Your writing spouted out all the pain you experienced .it might have been a bad day , Please heal.hugs to ur wifey
It's sad that as tax paying, American citizen, I can't can't even get my dad to come and visit yet the illegals keep streaming in.
@@ForeverYoung-fc3eo very sad !
You are absolutely correct , I got my visa and it’s like same they took interview in my case.
God bless
Great!
Hi ma’am, how to contact you? I had a question. Thank you
Got the visa! Thanks Mandy for your advice
Sone people are genuine kindly asking how should a person look like or appear that he or she can afford to pay for their trips etc
The things is how you answer the application form, they ask the saame questions in different forms, and algoritm take the decition right away.
Sorry to hear that was your experience.
Unfortunately, I have to use the race card for this one!
@@wanjiru93l was also denied my b1/b2 visa how long can l wait before applying again
Nice to know this! So it is obvious that one needs no documents at all!
It's still a good idea to bring documents just in case they ask for something. But you just can't expect that they'll be looked at.
What country are you from?
Probably the country you're from haha
Good day Ma'am Mandy, thank you for sharing this video. This is a big help for me because on October 10 this year is my tourist visa interview..I am actually do my research like this, watching a lot of videos on how to answer questions during the interview until i saw your channel...Again thank you so much ma'am Godbless
Glad it was helpful!

I was denied 3 times back in 2008. Got visa for Australia in 2009 and i am happy in australia.I believe everything happens for reason😊😊
That's easy to say when everything works out
Glad to hear things worked out for you!

Hi been travelling to the US under Visa Waiver Esta for years. Always easy entry, no problems. Never overstayed at all. But I received an email saying my visa status has changed not authorised. I need to apply for a B2 visa now. What are my chances of B2 visa to get approved? Thanks
I got my visa last month,! Yes the visa officer did not look my docs, the interview was smooth and i only answer in truthfull way😊
Congratulations Grace!
In my country we have to pay to apply for an American Visa, it's expensive and if a person is rejected they don't get even part of their money back, we're also given a list of documents required for the application and sometimes the officer looks at it and sometimes they don't. I've never applied but my son might want to go for study so we may have to in future
In all Countries you pay to apply for an American visa. It's the same all over.
You pay to apply in every country?
Thanks a lot Mandy, this information was really helpful . I will be attending my visa interview in September.
So what happened?
Thanks for the clear explanation!" This shows appreciation without being too verbose.
Please make videos on student visas...bcz major intake is around the corner. I hope u'll do the same
Will do!
I think this varies from countries but in india they do take a look at your documents a quick glance i say
2 minutes to make her decision. If approved, you'll need to come back a few day later to collect your passport or they'll send it by postmail.
When I got my visa I managed my interview as a work interview. So naturally I didn't prepare at all, currently employed in the USA with a work visa.
There are still eternal optimists out there, waiting for entry to Australia! Wonders never cease!
Please help how to get Australia opportunities kindly
You are truly expert and same is my opinion as for as I know. One should be truthful regarding what he travels for.
I have my interview in July. Let's see what happens
Good luck.

at your application BEFORE the interview. They should just tell you to not waste everyone's time by coming in
for the interview, but then they need to justify why they took your money...it's all a scam
Yes, it’s a frustrating process but it is what it is.

Why this university?
Started explaining after 3 seconds slipped the white slip along with the passport like he was just ready to refuse before the interview.
As a student I want to ask visa officers. Is this a joke to you guys? Indian students are nothing more than source of income to these countries. Period
Sorry to hear about your experience.
Three seconds?! Beyond ridiculous.
Unfortunately that's not how it works. I'm sorry to hear about your visa denial.
mine was just a simple interview and for the first time in my life, he didn't reject me because I didn't lie. several people were rejected that day.
Thank you for the informational video.
But Doesn't matter how good your answers were. It totally depends on the officer's mood, because they have tons of loads and they wanna go home and have dinner, and relex But its not fair.
Dear Mandy Feuerbacher,
I made a mistake while booking my F-1 visa appointment, where I put my father's name instead of mine. I have informed the embassy, and they advised me to proceed with the appointment and inform the officials about the mistake during the interview. However, I am concerned that this mistake may impact my chances of getting the visa. Can you please advise me on how to handle this situation during the interview?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Follow their instructions and explain during the interview.

It's always a good idea to bring everything, just in case. But know that they won't look at them usually.
Each has its own pros and cons, which is difficult to explain here. Feel free to book a session with me and I can go over your options with you.
@@ZFvisa hello ma'am
What will happen if they cannot speak English
How i can book a session with you
The most important thing is to overcome section 214b of the immigration act.
*sigh*
