    I honestly enjoyed the interview. It felt like I was talking to my friend about life and marriage. If your case is real, there is no reason to be worried.

      I do not think you are right where you said, "If your case is real, there is no reason to be worried." Trump and those who think like him do not care if your case is real. Like this lawyer just said, they are seeking to reduce both illegal and legal immigration. And one way to railroad or deny a "real" or genuine case is to deny it on the grounds that the applicant foreign spouse will become a public charge. Under that guise it will not matter if your marriage was real.

      My brother in law was interrogated like it was a crime investigation. Luckily, the marriage was on the news in his home country and all over the newspaper (my mom is a celebrity over there )and that was what finally kept them silent.

    As long as your marriage is not fake, there is nothing to worry about. Even in getting a citizenship, it felt like i was just having a casual conversation with my friend (immigration officer). I wish you all a good luck.

    Had an interview back in 2014. We had a 2 year old and been married for 2 years. No pics needed. No separate rooms etc. just make sure you understand the main questions in the application when asked It was so nice and not scary like many tell us. Even for the citizenship was like I was talking to someone I knew.

    The main goal of any lawyer is to instill a sense of worry and anxiety in you. This is because, in such a state, you are more likely to seek their help and give them your last savings. If you start feeling uncomfortable while watching their videos or speaking with a lawyer, it means they’ve successfully manipulated you. A lawyer’s goal is not to help you but to earn money for themselves, covering their education and mortgages.

    • @dakg8034
      @dakg8034 6 дней назад +8

      That is rather narrow thinking. For one, although a lawyer tries to earn from his profession - as he should - his services simultaneously help the individual. And why shouldn't a lawyer market his services as anyone else? Isn't it a fair exchange - his services in exchange for your money? In fact, in every job on the market, it is an exchange - your services for a pay day. To deny that seems to indicate malice. Secondly, there are lawyers who offer their services pro-bono, where the client gets the legal service and representation free of cost. For pro-bono lawyers, are their services acts of manipulation?

    • @yagga8885
      @yagga8885 6 дней назад +2

      You sound paranoid. Lawyers want you to do well because word of mouth gets them more clients. What advantage do they have in you bombing the interview and get denied?

    • @Lil-Be
      @Lil-Be День назад +3

      Exactly! I am an immigrant and I sensed the same when I was consulting lawyers about my case. I eventually decided to do the whole thing by myself without lawyer help and it was definitely not as dramatic and difficult as they wanted me to believe it will be. I am a happy US citizen now!

      Honestly I did the same and when I had the interview our three kids were with us. The immigration agent went through the interview but mostly laughed jr out because she said “if you were willing to have 3 kids… well that probably means it’s all real.” When I pulled out my book she waived it off and said she didn’t need it and approved me. So it all depends on your case but only submit when asked for it.
