For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
Frankly - I am done with the after market trimmer heads. Tried about 5 of them. Including the metal chain saw type trimmer. Here’s the issue. The plastic channel to drop the left twist nut. I have an ECHO SRM210. It’s a beast but know the nut thread is unique. Here’s the issue - the after market product has different channel sizes with the same thread for the ECHO but larger diameter nuts. Keeping track or losing the special size nuts is a challenge. You may think you are screw-in g it down - but I stripped it and had to replace my trimmer head mount! Additionally, the plastic channels wear quickly and cause slippage.
Yeah I mean unless your on a budget or need a special trimmer head for a specific reason it don't make much sense to steer away from tried and true trimmer heads that work and are tested for years now. The speed feed 450 and 500 are awesome. Also like the echomatic trimmer head I would say just as good as speed feed just little different.
I work at a retailer of outdoor power equipment and we sell the T25, T35X and other Husqvarna heads. So the information given here about the T25 is incorrect.
