Hooola, I was in Kvinesdal (Norway Rock) this summer to attend Nightwish together with my friends who are fans of them. But my experience this weekend was Beast In Black, it was a wonderful experience and I was totally taken by the singer and the rest of the band. They had a concert a few weeks ago in Gothenburg and I was to. And of course I will travel to Gothenburg again in Mars to attend the final concert on their 1st European headline tour in the band's history. I really love this band.

They dropped their debut album the other day. It's probably one of the best albums of the year if you ask me. Also the fact that the band's name and most of the songs on the album are about Berserk makes it even better. Plus the vocalist didn't use his full range here. You should check out the first track off the album which has the same name as the band itself. And the song is about Guts :)

Beast In Black is great! Band was created by a former member of Battle Beast, thats where the name similiarity comes from. Main difference is that Battle Beast has a female singer, You should check them out as well - same style, same vibe - pure pleasure to listen to
The female tonality in his voice is really what sets it apart, even more than the falsetto in his voice. He sounds like a chick, let's just say it for what it is. And he nails that chick.
But he has a way cooler voice than most of the female metal singers! He brings so much more depth to this band than someone like Tarja or Anette Olzon could for example

Yannis has a far bigger palette to work with. Im not saying female metal singers are bad. I just think it becomes repetitive and boring after awhile, as they lack that depth and variation...

It was abandoned in the 16th century when the ale cellar collapsed and now it's been only recently been going through conservation efforts and it lies on top of a hill next to a narrow river.

Yeah, Anton Kabanen was one of the founders of Battle Beast. And only the main guy composing and writing lyrics to the songs. I was so sad when they kicked him out, Battle Beast is not the same anymore. They're still pretty good, but the new album doesn't sound like the Battle Beast I knew and had grown to like. Luckily Anton made this new band to continue his awesome work!
Janne Peuraniemi Battle Beast is definitely not the same, but I think it was reasonable for them to kick him out. He wasn't allowing them any creative freedom, and essentially not allowing them to write any of their music

This band is the brainchild of Anton Kabanen, songwriter/guitarist/vocalist. He formed a band Battle Beast originally and their first 3 records he composed all songs and especially the latter two are just awesome albums. Beast in Black continues with the style and passion of Antons music. I strongly advice to look into Battle Beasts 2nd and 3rd albums. Its just so lighthearted awesome catchy metal that it makes one smile, its like tongue in cheek ultimate epic metal but with enough seriousness to not be laughable. Its just super awesome.
Get the full album. Been on repeat for the past few days. Every song is catchy af, and you'll wake up with the songs stuck in your head. Definitely not a bad way to wake up.
