When I first heard this band: "She sounds hot"
5 sec later: "Why's the beard moving?"
Hahahahahahaha
Lol the bearded lady 😂
@@TankTheTech Yannis Papadopoulos (Greece) ruclips.net/video/nfZxu1aQzp8/видео.html Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Vocal Cover) ;) :)
Look for Ladybaby... weirder experience on first watch ^^
@@KelbenArunsun ruclips.net/video/M8-vje-bq9c/видео.html --- LADYBABY "ニッポン饅頭 / Nippon manju :) :D lol :)
During live performances, Yannis would randomly sing a octave higher or lower. Love him for that. Dude be flexin'
Power Metal with an 80's vibe? I'm in.
Check out "From Hell With Love" and "Sweet True Lies" from these guys! Now I'm gonna go listen to them all day haha
Or given that he made the Rocky comparison, No Easy Way Out.
You should checkout the nightcore remix of from hell with love. It's pretty good
Not all day. 12 hours beast in black 12 hours sabaton
I love sweet true lies
From their newest album, I also recommend "Bella Donna," "Blade Runner," "Broken Survivors" and "Moonlight Rendezvous." Their most recent album "Dark Connection" is just sublime.
Beast in Black: "From Hell with Love", "The Fifth Angel", "Crazy, Mad, Insane". Also Yannis' Cover of Ghost Love Score... ;-)
I'm glad to see another one here who really likes Crazy, Mad, Insane. It's one of my favourites.
Crazy, Mad, Insane is an awesome one.
Seconding this. Also Zodd the immortal. Some more love for Berzerk my dudes.
WHAT!?!? HE COVERED GHOST LOVE SCORE!?!? Be back in like 20 minutes. Also, Crazy, Mad, Insane is a GREAT song.
Yes you must check put hsi cover of ghost love score Yannis is the goat
Intro music: hammerfall - Hearts on Fire
Outro music blind guardian - Mirror Mirror
Thought it was somewhat fitting. haha
I love Hammerfall! I'm loving Dominion and Hectors Hymn. To me this band is good ol fashion hard rock n roll👊
Hammerfall came through Atlanta in the late 90s for the first time, and I vividly remember Oscar Dronjak's stick-like long arms, like there was no muscle at all. Didn't stop him from playing some fun metal music, though.
Saw Hammerfall live opening for Sabaton last year. Man that was a show!
He seriously needs Ensiferum. Finns are da best in music.
Yes! I would suggest Lai la hei, iron, hero in a dream, into Battle.....
And i recommend this Finnish band too : Turisas - Stand up and fight.
@@tapsavaan1671 Great song & the video is like the Finnish version of Mad Max The Road Warrior.
As a Finn I wouldn't know as we only have little over 700 metal bands per 1M inhabitants, but since no other country comes even close, I'll agree with you.
As a non-finn I'm fuckin jealous of you guys 😤😅
The Rocky connection isn't that weird, they actually did a cover of "No Easy Way Out" from Rocky 4 on their last album
No way! Haha
Yeah and personally I think that the Beast In Black version is better than the original. And don’t get me wrong, I love the Rocky IV soundtrack and the film.
I saw them as a pre-show for Nightwish, and I had never heard of them, but the performance was great, Yannis’s singing was amazing, all the songs were catchy as hell and I was singing along even during this first hearing. And the synchronised guitar movements are fun as hell. I really really like their song “Beast In Black” (a lot of songs of their album Berserker ar based on a manga/anime called Berserk), so please react to that song please :-) They were super nice (you could talk with them after the concert) and people were buying loads of records and CDs from them, so they made a big impression!
i went to the nightwish tour just to see them :D
With his previous band Battle Beast about halve the songs he wrote were Berserk themed. He seems to have two modes, Berserk and bygone love songs.
Same for me
Same here, saw them supporting nightwish. loved them, checked them out the next day. bought both albums a few weeks later.
Fun fact: the band name "Beast in Black" and the many themes and subjects in the songs were inspired by the dark fantasy manga "Berserk"!
And yes, this band's sound is very "cheesy" sounding in the best way possible. Very fun, energetic, and the melodies will get stuck in your head all day. Like many have mentioned, the self titled song "Beast in Black", and "Die by the Blade" are some good listens! I'd also reccomend "Zodd the Immortal" which is more aggressive and I think really shows what Yannis is capable of.
Yeah, but isn’t all power metal kinda cheesy? Doesn’t mean I don’t love it.
Check the chorus of Judas Priest's Night Crawler ;) It's a double reference
@@Minotaur-ey2lg plz define cheesy!
I recently found their Unlimited Sin, and I can listen to that song on loop for hours
Reveangeance Machine and the above one are just both such pure adrenaline pumpers
This is the most refreshing band I've heard in ages. I discovered this after listening to Battle beast.
This is 80's cheese power metal...with the modern stylistics. If 80's metal was like this, it would have been so much better. They really went into the 80's vibe in the next album. They are definitely going for a certain style.
Loved the reaction...you def have a new sub!
Thanks a ton, Ryan!
"Easy listening" power metal
Their riffs are a lot heavier than power metal on average... and the singer's voice is a lot higher than what most people are used to... I wouldn't really call it easy listening
MyFaceIsMyShield
Kinda reminds me of heavier Judas Priest.
@@Minotaur-ey2lg reminds me of Primal Fear (who are basically just a more aggressive Judas Priest)
@@Minotaur-ey2lg What era of Priest because Priest Painkiller Era and onward is 100% proto-power metal and 100% heavier than BiB's heaviest songs. Their 70's~early 80's era stuff was more NWOBHM and generally lighter than stuff that Maiden put out but around the late 80s and onwards Priest began putting heavy emphasis on a heavier sound. The entire Angel of Retribution album is extremely heavy compared to their older songs.
BiB sounds more like Hammerfall, Battle Beast (the founders previous band), Powerwulf, etc.
Some people are turned off by his voice, which I don’t personally agree with but can understand, but you can’t deny he is very talented.
you need to listen to Beast in black - Beast in black . the best song of that album!
Yes! I totally agree! :D
Exactly this! 😊
Was just going to post the same thing. Also, a live version of that, from Lankafest Puolanka is great. Though it's not professional quality, but performance excellent!
They were the openers of the last Nightwish concert I went to, great introduction to get the crowd hyped and a very cool combination with Nightwish. Afterwards, the singer of this band covered Ghost Love Score from Nightwish, fantastically.
But did you knooooooooow... Yannis, the singer, made a cover of Ghost Love Score on his channel. Worth a detour though I wish he'd strayed away more from the original. :)
... and judging by the Tank Note that just popped up as I typed those words, yeah, you do.
Btw, I think Powerwolf and Ensiferum are two of the biggest power/folk bands you havent checked yet, could be cool one of these days ! :)
But when it comes to Power, I'm mostly waiting for more Blind Guardian / Iced Earth / Demons & Wizards tbf. ^^
I had this song in my head for about 2 months straight when I first heard it. Super catchy!
This was the first song I listened to when I first found them and totally thought it was a female voice. One of the guitarists left Battle Beast and founded Beast In Black and is the "beast" as he does some very interesting growls/screams. As Battle Beast is female fronted i thought it was female as well until i got to other songs.
Also Yannis's cover of Ghost Love Score is great.
Most of their songs have a 80's vibe with the synths but it makes nearly all their songs just soooo catchy.
The interiors were filmed in Raasepori castle. When I visited that way with some friends, it was closed for bridge maintenance, but the ruin was still impressive from the outside (funny thinking how the hill it's on was an island). The most memorable thing was the jackdaws. Every hole and crevice had a pair of blue eyes just staring out of the darkness.
this is what exactly what Power metal is and its so good!
I love the blind guardian mirror mirror in the background of your summary :)
Okay, so you're reacting to EVERY song that's on my playlist these days?
Cool cool. Let's gooo!
If you wanna hear how hard these guys go, check out their titular track "Beast in black." It's definitely a change of pace from this one.
Funny thing about that "wow" moment in the end is, he also foes that live, and everytime I've seen it, he nailed it
If i would named their style would be "disco metal". From Hell with Love is one of my favorite songs by them. Greetings from Brazil. 🤘🇧🇷
Heart on fire, heart on fire, burning burning with desire!!! Good background music LOL!
Shoutouts to Hammerfall being the background music in the intro
no matter how many times i hear this song it gives me goosebumps
These guys are opening for Nightwish on their upcoming world tour!!!
The first time I saw the video I was like where's the female singer I had heard dozens of times on the radio.
Hahahahaha
+1 om that
Going from this song to Zodd the Immortal is a bit of a mood whiplash.
Wow... great u did this Song.... first Time hearing this, i was confused.. not looking.. only the Voice... and than... wtf... its awesome... i saw them Live.. and he realy does that.....
I've seen them live a couple of years ago in cologne, Yannis is an awesome guy. Actually was invited by his sister to go to Beast in Black concert. Good memories
Ah man, reshuffling through some videos and I realized this was my first Tank The Tech vid i ever watched. Totally sold me my man. So awesome.
🤘🤘🤘
Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys! Lets go! 💪🏻
Craks another beer can open... Yep, they can and he is fcking awesome.. And you know your stuff very well my friend!
Well, just found out Beast in Black is opening for Nightwish on the US leg of their tour in 2022. Should be a damn good show!
Having seen them live in the last year I can confirm, so much fun. And yes that singer can perform those notes live incredibly well
Beast in Black - Born again 😍
3:07 Speaking of Rocky, they did a cover of "No Easy Way Out," you should check it out, it's awesome(although seeing this in 2022 with an upload date in 2020, you may already have listened to it).
I agree with you in the catchynisch department. I have never heard of them before but they are now on my list to find out.
The singer does a cover of Ghost Love Score...excellent!
REally enjoying the sound of this band :D
The guy who is after the Beauty, is not beast in black, he is one of their ROADIEs. Doesn't fit in the video perfectly, but he looks funny and out of this castle :). I like this song, and i like this band. Hopefully they can start touring soon again.
Fun reaction. Yannis also did a cover of Nightwish's Ghost Love Score. :D
Beast in Black is the epitome of cheesyness! Absolutely love them because of the fun they have in their music.
That boy can sing ..... holy crap!! That’s some power metal for sure. Nice Tank🤘
Dude, he sure can!
Blind and Froooozeeeeenn. Very Catchy. Sing a long .I like it. Different but good. Saw them live before Nightwish, Vienna, 4th of December..Before Christmas..Best Gift ever.
I like Aerobic Metal name. Awesome description to this genre. Great reaction.
I know what you mean about the sound. I think it sounds like 80's movie or computer game music in the background of their songs. Then there's the powermetal over the top of it. Unique sound. From Hell with Love gives me a Top Gun - Dangerzone feeling even though the song is nothing like.
Again, great reaction dude Thxs! 🤘🤘
*I really like BEAST IN BLACK and would recommend one of my favourite songs of them : "Crazy, Mad, Insane"....*
I'm sure others have said this, but you should look into Wagakki Band. They're a Japanese band that blends new and old instruments.
Also Beast in Black has an awesome 80s feel in alot of their songs
Man the chorus always gives me goosebumps. Heard them first time as a warm-up at a Nightwish concert and the totally got me. Always great choreo with the guitars (throwback to the 80s). Love it!
If you ever get the chance to see these guys live - GO!
that chorus was fire
Jesos you are going wild with this Power metal
i love that you got to flex your knowledge a little.. some music vids have barely anything in them gear-wise. Love the song (bought the album), keep it up and LET'S GO! *arm pump*
You should check out their song “born again” it’s my personal favorite by them
Saw them live they were the support band for Nightwish on the Decades tour in UK.
Nice!
nice reaction mate , and here the example of yiannis one greek singer make a career in finland but here in greece is uknown as a singer unless the fans of this styl , as the same was with floor pass almost 10 years to start the holand people knowing her ....
their "zodd the immortal" kicks asses
TAROT (Marco Hietala from Nightwish) "Wings of darkness", please! 🇫🇮
If you feel like doing more of them: born again, die by the blade, from hell with love, heart of steel are solid choices.
Theatrical power metal. Cheeky kind of metal. They have many GOOD songs that gets you going! 🤩
Funny you mention Rocky, because they did a cover of "No easy way out" which is pretty awesome
🤘🤘🤘
Beast in black by Beast in black is top tier.
They seem to have a big 80's sound to them.
I love how Power Metal is pretty diverse, you get stuff like this and Gloryhammer, and then you have more heavy and serious like Jag Panzer and Kamelot.
I almost universally hear Kamelot lumped in with symphonic metal
@@rominesque2921 It's a rather common misconception. I'm not much of a genre gatekeeper/nerd, but just personally I think of "symphonic metal" not really a genre, since there are so many genres within metal that use symphonic metal. From Nightwish and Kamelot to Fleshgod Apocalypse and Shadow of Intent.
Just like with pirate metal and viking metal, they're just loose terms describing an aspect of the music, like themes or a musical element, like the use of orchestration.
@@Renkaru I'd argue the symphonic metal genre as its commonly understood definitely has its own trappings both musical and aesthetic, which Kamelot falls into quite a few of. Especially post-Silverthorn.
@@rominesque2921 I agree and see where you're coming from, but its still power metal at the essence of their music. Their overall song writing is still very much indicative of that.
Labels and genres don't mean that much to me, I just like know about the specifics of a band, and understand their nuances.
All I would say is Symphonic Metal alone is not a genre, but you can definitely say Kamelot is Symphonic Power Metal, which would be correct in explaining their sound and aesthetic. If that makes sense.
Please, react "Avantasia - The Scarecrow"
I have to mention Zodd the Immortal. If you ever come back to them, it's one of their heavier songs. Muchly recommended from a fan.
So glad you did this band have loved this group since I saw this video when it released
He covered "Ghost Love Score" and he NAILED it :)
Think of it as 80s rock mixed with power metal and you get Beast in Black. They also like the anime Berserk so at least half of their songs are based off the anime.
Man, this is a high quality reaction video, glad I clicked on this.
Thank you!
Was on a Live Concert in Germany (Hannover) they palyed this song, it was amazing. My Parents liked them also (i was wondering)
Beauty and the beast
Going back through all your vids, Best reactor analyst channel, that "if i get comments saying this isnt power metal, F#$k off" had me in stitches
Oh yes! This band is also so much fun to watch live 👍😊
They are just awesome i discover them the last year. Well i think its a rare combination between power metal and euro-dance, well just in some songs, i recommend you two songs, berserker and cry out for a hero.
Ps. Sorry for the bad english i speak spanish and is hard for me write on english xD. Saludos!
You really gotta do some Rhapsody of Fire!
Going back through your old reactions and saw this. LOVEEEE these guys. I feel about this song the way I felt about "The Final Countdown" by Europe: time to mount my steed, sheath my sword, and ride into the 9-5 battle ALONE! 😂🤘
I saw them as the opening act for Nightwish and I was wondring who the female in the band was, because it sounded like their was a female singer in the band for sure 🤣
I saw this group live at Montréal whit nightwish and they are more heavy in live than vidéo. You should Watch more music for this group
Fun fact: the large large castle is "Schloss Neuschwanstein" in Bavaria, Germany. I bet, the indoorshots are from another location.
You bet they are! :) There won't be any shooting of metal music videos inside that castle unfortunately :D
Zodd the immortal one of my favorite songs
They have Motorhead's cover Killed By Death on this album. My best recommendation.
And mix of power metal with 80's electropop is their feature. Listen Battle Beast's song Touch In The Night. Battle Beast is previous band of their guitarist Anton.
I freakin' LOVE Battle Beast! If BiB is stereotypical powermetal, BB is stereotypical middle-of-the-rod heavy.
Born Again, Zodd The Immortal, or the song From Hell with love.
*aerobics metal* that's amazing
Beast In Black is awesome. Check out Beast In Black, From Hell With Love, Sweet True Lies, Eternal Fire, Oceandeep (a ballad), and the singer Yannis’s version of Ghost Love Score.
Then check out the guitarist’s old band Battle Beast... Bastard Son Of Odin, Black Ninja, And Bent & Broken (a ballad but still good despite the haters).
Also check out Kobra and the Lotus
Aerobic metal ... lol That's funny :) This band is just.. AWESOME !
Perfect time to try Battle Beast now.
Also check out: “Oceandeep” and “True Believer”
One of the catchiest choruses ever. You'll have it in your head for days!
The singer made a cover of Ghost love score from Nightwish, pretty impressive
These guys are so much fun. A real guilty pleasure for sure
Exactly what i feel.
This song is FUN :D
When this track comes from radio i crank the volume to high heavens!
I believe it's time for "from hell with love"
Saw them opening for NW on tour this month and am falling down the rabbit hole!!
Another band i would have never heard of but for your channel . keep finding them we will listen .
