  • In this video, we continue our journey into herbal medicine. This time we make oregano salve using our oregano infused olive oil from the last video. Like I mentioned previously, there have been multiple studies on oregano's compounds Thymol and Carvacrol on how they can be used to kill bacteria. We are using that to our advantage by putting that microbial killing power into a salve that we can use on minor cuts and scrapes to ensure that we are helping to prevent infections.

    I mustn't be getting all notifications I never seen the oil making one. great idea now take 2$ worth the materials and work and sell it in some fancy boutique for 50$. ; )

      YT has been acting wonky lately. I dont even get notifications for my own videos anymore half the time. Thats exactly why i did this. Take a resource you already have, process it yourself and bam, you have a product you can sell with a heavy margin.

      Lmao im all about the grams. Much more precise than those peaky decimal ounces. Try it out if you get some time. Been making lip balms for years this way. Figured id start making my own oils before i moved farther. Now i need an expeller for my sunflowers.
      As for pine, i have all kinds of plans for videos on pines, trying to source materials to go all out. Keeping it close to the chest atm as i dont want people stealing my idea lol

    Can we use jojoba oil and/or coconut oil instead or olive oil? What about shea butter?

    • @PalmettoPrepared
      @PalmettoPrepared  Месяц назад +1

      Yep. I prefer jojoba oil for skin if I have it. Personally im not a fan of coconut oil. Shea butter can be added but no more than 3-5%. I Try to make these videos with the average Joe in mind. Most people have olive oil on hand
