I was not aware that I am a practicing witch until now. My mom taught me how to put my intentions into herbal medicines we cooked on the stove sometimes outside on a old BBQ. She took me to the beach and I collected things from the ocean and used them at home for spells. I always put honey and lemon in my herbal medicines. The brew set's for six weeks before I use them. I also would write poetry on paper and burn it, I have found that depending on the colour of candle the intentions are effected differently. I am a Christian too so I pray and medicate a lot on the Lord. I also have a wand I use when doing the spells. It's a stick from outside my apartment that I found the day I moved in. It sits on my kitchen window ceil to soak up the sunlight as well the moon. I have always been connected to the elements too. My favourite thing to do as a child was lay down on a blanket on a hill and watch the grass grow and the earth moving around me. It helped me through depression and anxiety.
Do you ever use the things like the pendulum or just visions or? More people should be connecting spiritually to Mother earth!
One of my favorite ways to dry large amounts of herbs is to put parchment paper on a wire cooling rack for baking. The racks are usually inexpensive and readily available (I believe mine came from Walmart) and sets are often stackable, perfect for limited space crafting. The parchment keeps bits from falling through the wire while allowing plenty of air flow for timely drying. Hope this helps someone :)
Helped me, thanks!
Que precioso y muy delicioso te natural 😄🌻👍🌹💝👍😁
your herbs were anointed by your puppy. they are now perfect.
Your videos have become a really beautiful part of my days. I love that they are calming and help me to get grounded, and I love that they are practically useful as well. Thanks for posting the recipe in the description.
I was about to type up something very similar to this, but I see you already nailed it! Thanks! Her videos bring me peace.
Everything Katrina said 💜🌻 I was just thinking that and I saw your comment 🌻❤️
Completely agree with you!
Agreed! I just found her channel and have been watched 60% of it because that's so soothing.
Yes! I save them for my ‘me’ time to fully enjoy with a cup of tea. Perfection!
I love these videos and this one is start to finish! I have behind the scenes questions. 1. What do you do with the leftover herbs after you strain them. 2. How do you clean your tea cloths after you strain the oil through them. Thank you!
I wondered the same thing about the tea towels, as she always uses what look to be pristine cloths. I’d like to know that witchy way to clean them. 🌞
It doesn't have to be a cloth. I use a Greek yogurt strainer to strain my herbs and it works so well and you can throw it in the dishwasher when you're done with it. I bought mine on Amazon, but it's not the only one that exists. If you want to get one from Amazon, just copy and paste this into the search bar and you'll find my exact one: Greek Yogurt Strainer Nut Milk Bag, Toufu Strainer, Fruit Juicing, Sprouting, Stainless Steel Fine Mesh Filter, BPA Free for Food (1.5 Quart Small)
You know you've watched a lot of your salve videos when I noticed the mistake with the measurements before that came up lol mistakes are only human :) beautiful video as always!
Hi Annabelle, just a little tip in case you were not aware; you can oil the jar that you use to melt the beeswax which can make cleanup a bit easier 🙂 love your channel!
Wow as a beginner of witchcraft watching your videos really help it makes me so calm and it really helps me go forward:)
Currently making gifts for Christmas and this is a lovely idea to add to the collection x
𝔾𝕠𝕠𝕕 𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕒
This is one of my favourite salves to make - especially when one is ageing and has skin that is drying out.
Another one I like to make is a chickweed salve, it is great for lumps and bumps and has a remarkable effect on age-spots - have a lovely day Annie x
Oooo I'll bet adding cannabis leaves would be a great addition to this salve for muscle pain
You are such a gentle, calming soul, I love listening to you and watching your videos 💛💛 I can’t wait to make this salve it truly looks so beautiful 🥰 we’re heading into summer here in New Zealand so it’s the perfect time for me to start gathering to start the preparation process.. divine timing coming across this video now 💛✨
I love watching you make things! You inspired me to try and make pumpkin butter for the first time ever AND completely from scratch about 2 weeks ago, and it came out so good! I infused it with intentions that whoever eats it will feel healthy, comforted, and loved, and so far everyone who got a jar loves it. Thank you for being so inspiring!! 💖
Ahh this double boiler method is so much more effective than what I have done in the past for salves!! I need to find a pot like this! Beautiful video and recipe ❤️
This was so beautiful to watch! I have an oil setting that will be ready in 4 more weeks and I’m so excited to make a salve!
I love the music you use in your videos and I appreciate so much that you list the songs in the description. Thank you!
Thanks Annie for being able to bring your magic and sharing it with us tips and tricks look forward to more blessed be🔮🌿🙌🏻✨
I make this salve all the time, although I usually set them up separately and sometimes use avocado oil. It's such a lovely salve.

As always another beautifully done video. Thank you for sharing. Such an inspiration. Keep up the great work. Truly an art what you do.
Over the summer (2021) I set the intention to create Calendula-Rose Salve to give this Christmas to my clients, friends and family but I couldn’t find a recipe and process that felt right. Today I found your video and it is PERFECT! Exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much!

I am in love with her cottage 😍🧡💜
Yay another salve!! 🥰🥰
!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one excited about them
I have oil's prepped to make a plantain salve, a lemon balm salve, and a rose salve. Can't wait to try them all out!
I imagine that salves last for quite some time… But what about the oils that are used? How long are they good for before being put into a salve?
@@thethespian12 she mentions this in her video about making plantain salves. I can't remember the exact number of weeks, but keeping it in a cool dark place helps.
@@FearlessNimue Thank you so much, I went and watched the video and learned it was six months to a year before being put into a salve. Thank you again
Thank you for this beautiful video! I recently discovered your videos and have to say they are really lovely and I am binge watching them all! 😊 You are inspiring my budding practice and have been super helpful. So again, thank you!
Thank you for sharing this you’re an angel
Such an inspiration!!! I now have my rose and calendula oil infusing!!! Looking forward to making the salve in late November!! :)
Am happy to see your videos
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I just made a fresh batch of lavender salves 💜
I do make my own salves. I prefer fresh herbs over dry but I'm learning that some herbs need or should to be dry or you could end up with moldy oil. Calendula I wilt dry. Informative and inspiring video. Thank you! Green Blessings from Southwest Washington!
Hi .I love to learn from you.happy holidays.
Thank you so much for sharing your process.... Believe it or not its not easy finding an authentique process for myself (skin issues) who like to experiment creating our own pieces and tweaking it for my specific needs....thank you again 💜🐾💚
I love your videos, thank you so much!😀
U r sooo inspiring so I’m going to try salves soon. Thx for showing & sharing. U r great speaker & teacher😊
Well I loved this video, you really inspire me to try this. Natural salve how awesome. This is top on my list wish I had started this with my own fresh flowers and herbs. I will plan to gather my own next summer but for now I will shop on line or store. Thank so much.
Just wanted to say thank you 🙏 Your videos are amazing and so calming. And this salve is absolutely perfect, first I ever made. I shared it with my mom as we went for our first tattoo together and it works wonders for healing the skin. Also it made the whole experience all that special 😻 And now my older brother started to use it too for his tattoos and dry knees. So thank you for showing me the path of the craft.
Lovely music ❤️🎶🎶🎶
this is beautiful, very relaxing to watch, the very calmness and gentleness with the herbs and flowers, the scenarios...
I mean this is perfect. Thank you very much for this very useful beautiful video :)
Haven't used rose before, but I will try it - looks great. I make plain calendula salve or calendula and plantain salve - they are lovely!
Thanks for another great and calming video! Question: what’s the shelf life of a completed salve?
i am moving on the 1.11 this year into my own little horse stable. it’s in the middle of a village but it has enough green space in the paddock that i hope to be able to use to grow a lot of flowers an herbs. i already planted roses for the hips and raspberry and blackberries 😍
You look so happy 🌙🍁⭐️
I made my very first salve ever! Andddddd it turned out GREAT! I used this same recipe, but added lavender flowers and lavender essential oil. I did add a bit more with the coconut oil, and the consistancy of the final result is creamy and not very hard at all.
I made several tins already and have them ready for Christmas presents!!!! THANK YOU ANNIE! I am feeling HEALED from these salves. I feel calmer, healed, and so much more loved! Exactly the same intentions I put into it with some Reiki! Simply magickal. Thank you again Annie, much love and light from one Green Witch to another!! Blessed be!
I made this Anna and came out to be spectacular.. u r really v sweet n grounded and thanks for sharing such valuable info with all of us☺️🤗⭐️💕
So beautiful a result!!💖. Love watching your kitchen creations as I didn’t get that gene and confusion reigns when I attempt anything there.
i love your cottage. i would give a lot to have such a nice home close to nature
I’m looking forward to making salves, natural lip balms etc. thank you
First I wanted to say that I find your videos very calming to watch, especially during my workday as it can be very hectic here. I just wanted to ask, do you only use olive oil for your salves, or could a different oil be used to infuse the herbs?
I love rewatching your videos, they bring me so much peace and joy. This is such a beautiful salve. My question is what is the best way to use such a wonderful salve? Do you use it on your hands, body? Can it be applied to the face? How often is too often/too much? Love your channel so much! Xx
The fatty acids prevalent in olive oil are a food source for acne-causing bacteria and yeasts to grow Thus, olive oil is not ideal for acne-prone skins. In addition the oleic acid component of olive oil can exacerbate dermatitis
If cost were not an issue something like jojoba or argan would be more skin friendly.
If you are using it ,say on just hands and feet , it is just fine for daily use.
@@juneszeider5280 thank you ♥️
I made your Anti-Anxiety Salve before summer and absolutely love it. I used coco nut ans shea butter as a base. I will try this salve as well but I won't use olive oil since it's extremely bad for the skin, particularly dry skin. It's very abrasive and dermatologists use it for this quality.
I like grape seed oil for skin and lip balms.
Once you squeeze the oil out of the herbs you could tie them up in the cloth like a large teabag and throw in the bath if you use it the same day and compost when done. All that oil soaked up into the cloth isn’t wasted, just be careful as bath gets slippery.
Calendula did not do well in our area this year, but thankfully it was included in one of the Apothecary at Home subscription boxes, and rose was included in the October box. I'm going to start infusing my oil this weekend.
This girl is so pretty ❤
I just made my salve today but grape seed oil I used. I think I'll put roses in mine next time.
Keep coming back to your channel thank you for being unique, throughrough, and beautiful videos. Do you have a podcast as well or on your patron? If not do you have a good recommendation or can you do a recommendation covering the topic.
I'm so glad that you clarify the jewel weed what's your poison ivy and that you were not actually in fact making a sale out of poison ivy. Wouldn't that be just the perfect gift for someone you don't like. 😂
🧡
could you PLEASEEE do another BOS page journal with you sorta style video or even a tour?? that would be so so so amazing
😃
Dear Annabel.
First I want to say thank you for this lovely video. 😊
I found out your chanel only a couple of days ago and I am already hooked. 😄 Love your video's very much.
I only have one little question, does the salve get any harder or does it stay oily like in the video?
Thank you and have a lovely day, or evening for you. 😊
Okay so this might sound a little weird but I’ve been smoking roses and mixing herbs like chamomile , lavender , & even Mary Jane it does make me feel different from jus smoking Mary Jane and mixing the two is really close (roses & Mary Jane) I love ur channel though thank you 🖤
Can I just use coconut oil or will Shea butter do instead of the beeswax? Love your videos, there so calming 💓
Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. Does the salve stay the same consistency or does it thicken/set? Xx
Thanks for showing how to dry flowers.
This salve is so pretty. Now what is the salve for?
Do you teach?? So so fun to see the dresser you bought from me ❤️❤️❤️
I made this Salve following your instructions and it is absolutely fantastic!! I’ve shared it with a few folks who have eczema and it has cleared it up almost over night! I’m a reiki practitioner so as I made the Salve I was channeling reiki to the ingredients as well as into the process. I set the intention for healing in any way needed for the highest good of all. I am so pleased. I’ll be making more for sure. Thank you so much! 🤗 😘
By the way, I used a quick infusion method so I was able to get the Salve ready pretty fast. I’m going to do the slow infusion method as well.
Hi Annie @thegreenwitch ~ thank you for this video!!!! Also I'd really like to make this and i'm super hyped and actually pretty ready for it, but I would like to know- what temperature does the oil need to get to when I've placed it in the boiling pot? OR can I assume when I the beeswax is fully melted, it's the perfect time to take the oil out as well?
Also I agree with every single person who has commented already- your vibes are so grounding. Thank you so much always!!
Annie, I am curious as to what you do with the herbs once you strain them. Do you just toss them in the trash? As always Thank you for all you do. Your videos are wonderful.
Great video! What do you do with the leftover herbs from the oil infusion? I feel like there are so many other uses after, but nothing is coming to mind except composting.
