The 2023 Ram TRX Is A 6.2L Supercharged Hellcat Powered Monster Truck
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- As the most powerful and expensive gas powered truck in the #Ram lineup, the latest 2023 #RamTRX is still just as bat shit crazy as when the #TRX first showed up about 3 years ago. While some electric trucks offer more speed, the 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 engine still delivers enough power to make you forget about the silent speed from electric trucks. Vehicles like this will be missed as the industry continues to head toward full electrification.

With markups, the TRX is about $90-105k and the Raptor R is about $155-170k. Given the price difference, it’s hard to even compare the two. Personally, I’d go with the TRX for the look, sound, interior and reliability.
Yeah, Ford really missed the mark with the Raptor R... I'd imagine the only people who would opt for it over the TRX are Ford brand loyalists
@@Mr-Bogsthey didn’t miss the mark, the dealers are just fucking scumbags. Those faggots are the ones marking them up 50k
You got everything right except reliability, don’t use that word in the same sentence when talking stellantis products smart guy 💀
Ram? Reliability? What???
@@centurionlPretty reliable trucks. They are good for at least 250k miles
From being scared s**tless on launching the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 to launching the TRX effortlessly like you own it, you have come a long way with performance cars Sofyan!
Wishing you all the more success and even quicker cars to review!
It’s not hard to mash a pedal bro
@@kermit1 Sofyan used to be scared of speeding, nothing to do with the difficulty of mashing a pedal.
@@android175 @kermit1 felt the need to share his special version of love to make the world a better place 😔
They continue to say trucks transferring to electric, but the sales are poor, their range drops drastically under real world loads, no charging ports nearby and etc.
It looks like you have a 2022 based off the analog instrument cluster alone. The 2023 TRX does in fact come with the digital instrument cluster.
The 2023 TRX has a digital cluster standard. It also has black door handles instead of body colored on the level two package trucks. I think the one in your video is a 2022.
Yes, I believe this was a 22 because the 23 also received the updated carbon fiber weave as well.
Ram said it's a 2023, you do know there's other options without the carbon fiber right??
@@truckercowboyed2638 yes...but those that are equipped with the carbon have a new weave. This doesn't. Aforementioned, the mirrors and door handles are black on all TRXs for 2023.
@@truckercowboyed2638this isn’t a 2023, it’s a 2022. None of the 2023s come with paint colored handles. Wanna know how I know? I’ve owned a 2023 and a 2022.
The TRX is alright but I'm more interested in the upcoming compact Rampage 4x4 that has 270hp, 10"ground clearance and gets 25mpg ⛽ Automakers need to bring more affordable entry-level priced vehicles that the working class and retirees 🧓 can afford.
If you research MSRP for pickups costs have remained consistent for the past 1/4 of century. Only the newer segment of luxury trucks isn't in line with inflation.
@@davidporter7051$65,000 for an f-150 with cloth seats is insane.
The Ram Rampage, the truck that makes you sound like you're stuttering when you say it.
@@devn3813 you must be speaking in hyperbole. A F150 XLT with a Powerboost FX4 302A with sport appearance package is 59K MSRP. This is far from a base model and it doesn't even approach 60K MSRP. Do better.
@@davidporter7051 all of the ones at dealers are $58,000-64,000 for an xlt $usd
Beautiful vehicle and very powerful. Too bad your smiles and giggles when driving will turn to frowns and tears at the gas pump
Nah. If someone can afford a toy like this they can afford the fuel for it too.
Oh man. My dream truck🤤🤤
IDK, this looks like a 2022 TRX. I thought the 2023 had black door handles and digital display. I own a 2022 with everything other than sunroof and carbon fiber. It's awesome!
10MPG is just wild..... no way I would sign up for that.
You're broke the moment you fill this up for 1 day xD
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan : If filling up a 33 gallon gas tank with premium makes someone broke then they couldn't afford to buy this truck in the first place.
Fill it up half way, less weight, tune it... Smoke a raptor
Love your reviews!! This IS a badass truck, but like you pointed out.. very thirsty! But if you can afford this level of vehicle, you probably don't have to worry about fuel costs.
The ultimate mall crawler and fast food racer.
I have the "regular" 5.7 liter with the AWD option and even that thing is SO MUCH FUN. I turn it on when it snows, rains, and also right before having to pull out from a driveway to a much higher speed road. I've wanted a V8 and a 4x4 my whole life and it's amazing. Don't want a TRX because the gas consumption is so terrible. People that want one and can't afford it should try out any modern V8 truck with AWD. They're pretty great.
I’ve seen the new screen in the TRX streetspeed 717 has it in his yellow TRX
That is a badass truck. The only problem I have with Ram trucks is the same problem I have with other manufacturers, They don't offer a two-door or extended cab version. Happy Fourth of July to you and your family, Sofyan.
It's better to have a crew cab anyways
a 2-door truck these days is simply not attractive anymore.
I agree, two doors are a bit cheaper and look better in my opinion.
@@omendarklight1526 hell nahh
@runninwildwithmilwaukeebuck By the way, better on fuel since it's lighter 😂
One of the best trucks from Ram I can buy.
Long live the TRX! Just a few things:
-The TRX is only about 300lbs heavier than the all-aluminum bodied Raptor R.
-Not sure what happened with this truck, but '23 TRXs do have the digital gauge cluster.
-In terms of the panoramic roof, it is also optional on the $109K(more like $169K in the real world) Raptor R. I like that they keep it optional as not everyone wants one, plus the sunroof lowers your payload capacity due to added weight.
This is crazy but completely bad ass. I love it
This truck is a 2022 !!! The 2023 you get a full digital dash, black door handles and black mirrors
Yes, and the carbon fiber is updated on 23s as well. I also believe they added the Alcantara headliner on TR2-equipped models.
Wait how so
2023 TRX does indeed have the new all digital cluster, might want to recheck which year model you have and update your video.
I like your review ! Thorough and true , always your own views and real opinion 👍
Not correct on the digital display... The TRX for 2023 offers a fully digital display...
Nice video as always. Congrats to your 1M subscriber. Mabuhay!
This would be the perfect car for the apocalypse
Some of the new Trx do come with the dital display
Impressive performance
This guy is great at reviews
Ram really needs to partner with king shocks or icon.
Best pick up PERIOD.
It's defiantly the meanest looking truck on the road. Taking that to the dealer for issues after the warranty would not be fun. And paying for the premium fuel thats a killer. But hay if money is not a issue that is a bad ass truck...
Clickbait from REDLINE!! I really wanted to see a review on a 2023, NOT the 2022 that you are showing us! 😭
They definitely do offer all digital dash for the 23 TRX not sure where he got that info from lol
For race you have your flippers at the steering wheel not at the column.. I don't know why people think it should be at the column but it's not good when shifting and steering
If you are familiar 2008 to 2011 Mercedes-benz ML63 AMG, that is the technology of Trex 2024 and similar engines. V8 6.3L four cams supercharged 800hp the black series engine with top speed 200mph.
Nice video keep up the good work Redline
This is not available here in the UK. The $8 for a gallon of hi octane gas is probably the reason
Imagine buying a 100k truck but still needing to buy upgrades lol
I’m trying to get my hands on one of these beauty’s to test drive and review but I can’t find them anywhere man smh
I drive a M3... But I really need this car... 😂It's so huge
OUCH 10 MPG CITY AND 14 MPG HIGHWAY :O Have fun going to the gas station basically several times every day~ This truck will get you broke the moment you get it.
"Have fun going to the gas station basically several times every day" Exaggerate much? It has a 33 gallon gas tank (10 mpg x 33 = 330 miles & 14 x 33 = 462 miles). How many people drive 300+ to 400+ miles everyday? Not many. If they do drive that much I doubt they're using a big 702 hp truck like this. Besides, most people who buy the TRX, Raptor etc...also own other vehicles.
my dream car❤
How long are they going to keep producing the trx now that the challenger/charger are going out of production
even the Wrangler 392 still has a 2024 model, so the TRX last year will be next year probably (there are even rumors of Ram engrs putting the demon engine on a TRX for next year)
2024MY is the last 6.2 TRX. A few vins are in existence with the 6.2 engine code for 24.
that mpg is a killer
But the tested version is not a 2023. It doesn’t have the digital dash introduced on 2023
What's hard to believe is this truck is over $100k. I really don't get it. Did they have to make it out of platinum or what?
I thought the 2023 had the all digital cluster
It does. Something tells me Ram sent him an early 23 or this is just a press fleet example.
@@hellkitty1014 ok because I was like wait a second all the ones I’ve looked at had the digital dash
And just like that after the reving the engine you're at half a tank! With that said, I wish I had one. Such a sexy high maintenance beast imo.
Wait fit Americans? What are your trying to say? Hahaha
In Canada I spent 150,000 dollars to get full load 2021 and now it’s 160,000 dollars 😢
The full digital gage cluster is on the full option trx.
What are you doing with the new angle? We can only see the steering wheel
That’s a 22. Get your stuff together. It’s not that hard.
😂 10/14 mpg’s. 🤨🤦♂️🤣😂
It’s ok not everyone can afford gas
$240k -$260k in Australia! Fark that…
Impressive truck, but can't pass a gas station. Looks great.
33 GAL Tank so yea it can pass a Gas Station in fact it can go almost 400 miles on 1 tank gas.
If your buying this truck you better know what your signing up for
That is a 2022 model year not a 2023 based off the analog instrument cluster and the paint matched door handles .. the 2023 are only in black
This is a 2022, not a 2023! The 2023 has black gloss door handles and the digital gauge cluster. Trust me, I own one. Saying this is a 2023 is false advertising.
Hush, they have different options, just because you own doesn't mean you speak for all TRX
@@truckercowboyed2638 no, the digital dash is standard on the TRX for 2023. And the black gloss handles are standard when you get the level one or level two package like he said this has. I know cars better than anyone. You clearly do not. This is a 2022
@@truckercowboyed2638 You're incorrect. All 2023 TRXs have the digital cluster standard as I stated earlier. You're incorrect.
it looks cool but I'd rather not be at a gas station everyday
They put a big tank so not everyday. I have one and it is sooooooo worth the gas
RAM is own division not part of Dodge. RAM
Been own division over ten years. 😊
As always, brought to you by, “a nice solid sounding Thunk…” 🤦♂️🙄
😂🤣😆😀
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So is it finally a RAM, TREX or HELLCAT?
Nice truck but 10mpg is wild lol, even if i had money i don't wanna live at the gas pump if i was to daily drive it
I doubt many daily it. Most people who buy them also have other vehicles to drive.
You right
My man put the pedal to the metal
700hp, 10mpg, 3+ ton truck, so stupid...
No one is forcing you to buy one. Don't worry about what other people choose to spend their money on.
Wow I was really stuck on this or tundra but the gas mileage sucks
12mpg if your lucky, real world be like 8mpg combined
In LA, these get three miles per gallon.
2:40 this is pretty much the kind of exemption that one day makes these cars/trucks obsolete! you cannot put regulations on fuel economy!!!!!
That's not a 2023 model. 2023 model has a digital cluster. That's a 2022 or older model you're reviewing.
Really don't know why you're even discussing electric pickups.
lol this guy looks like a peanut next to the TRX
Just throw practicality to the wind 😂
One day 🤞🏾
Ram came a bit late in the game of Desert Runner trucks, yet again they brought and impressive truck that forced Ford to bring a V8 even though priced at $110K. Value wise was ok at $70K in the beginning yet you didn't get much unless you spec it at +$85K. I wouldn't hesitate to get the TRX if it came with the 392 Hemi V8 under $50K-$60K, the rumor was they were planning the get the 426 Hemi as a lower Trim however it got the axe when Sergio Marcione passed away, now Ram decided replace the 2024 Model Hellcat Engine with the crap Hurricane V6 Turbo :(
2024 TRX’s have the 6.2 SC still not the 6cyl, there is already some vin numbers that prove this. 2024MY Order banks should open in a week or 2 for the last year of the hellcat in this truck.
@@SRVPrelude I just checked on this and indeed yes there will be 2024 Hellcat engines on the TRX however the rumor goes that Ram wont make as many as the UAW imminent strike will hinder production if not halt it, either way the 2025 is guaranteed to bring the crap v6 turbo and an hybrid/electric :(
Try $170k for the Raptor R with mark ups. And they’re not even shipping. The TRX is the better truck if you ask me, and much better value at $70k less. The Raptor R shipping late is selling more TRXs.
They sell these cars for $55k in California
its funny how payload is 1300 lbs and the tiny ford maverick unibody is 14-1500lbs lol
It's due to the suspension set up. Great for fast desert running but not great for hauling heavy loads or towing a lot of weight. The F150 Raptors are the same way. RAM & Ford have plenty of other trucks for the people who need to haul or tow greater weight.
The whole time we could have been looking at the engine?I thought maybe you needed tools to take it off the cover?
Car & Driver also got 3.7
If i have this, i don’t know what is buggati
pushrods? what are those
A very old but simple setup for this overhead cam engine. Basically just opens the valves which are located above the combustion chamber. Also acts a transporter for lubricating oil for the lifters.
@@kellyoubrejr544 : You mean overhead valve engine (OHV has pushrods). Overhead cam engines (OHC) do not have pushrods - "An OHV engine has a camshaft placed between the engine's cylinder heads, also known as "cam-in-block." The crankshaft connects to the cam, so they turn in tandem. As the camshaft turns, a pushrod causes the valves on top of the engine to open and close. On the other hand, on OHC engines, the camshaft (or camshafts) are on top of the cylinder heads, controlling the intake and exhaust valves."
@oneslackr Yep, didn’t realize I put OHC rather than OHV
Why did you call it A Easter egg?
Only in america can you launch a 6,000 lb truck at super car times. 🤣 nuts!!!
Its aways been a 6.2
You better be aware when you buy a new Ram Truck and need it serviced, the dealerships service departments are telling people that are weeks out to get you in and then when you drop it off, they are telling peoples its up to 5 days before they look at it. So you will be without a vehicle for a week or 2, that's if your vehicle is under warranty. It took us more than a month to get a oil change. The deal is they are selling more vehicles than they can service, so if your new vehicle breaks down, you may be without a truck for a month. That's in Austin Texas.
You do know you don't need to go to the dealership to get your oil changed, right? Lol
Ummmm they gave you a 2022! The new dash is in the 2023
Lets get one thing straight....NO electric truck competes with this or any other ICE truck. EVs are a completely different category.
You know, with the 5.9 Magnum and only 64,000 miles. I think I'll keep my 1998 Laramie SLT Quadcab that I paid $8K for on the 1st of the year...My bumper & grill is chrome as are the wheels with a 2" lift and off road package, tow package and color matched campershell...
Love it
It just seems pricey for a unique fixer upper opportunity.
Everyone has 2 mortgages these days
👍
Inshallah I will own a trx , one day
118 MPH… NEEDS A TUNE
It doesn't need anything. The Raptor & Raptor R have even lower top speeds (112 mph IIRC). They're all set up with low top speeds due to the low speed ratings on their all-terrain tires (T rated (118 mph) on the TRX & probably S rated (112 mph) on the Raptor). Even though they might be quick from 0 - 60 these are heavy poor handling trucks not sports cars. There is no reason for them to have higher top speeds.

@@oneslackr i guess but my shitty chevy can reach a higher top speed, its worth like 8k
@@oxcsymbol : There you go. You just saved yourself a ton of money. I bet your Chevy can also do everything the TRX & Raptor can do off-road too.
