My one and only Porsche was a red 1962 356 Super 90 I paid $1100.00 for it in 1969 when I was a mere lad of 19. I was over the moon until I had to find a mechanic qualified to work on the 4 cam engine. Although only a 4 cylinder motor, it was extremely complex, and finicky to tune properly. Much more so then any motor coming out of Detroit at the time. You have to understand at the time Porsches were relatively unknown and the majority of my acquaintances thought I had paid a way too much for a strange looking VW Beatle. I drove it all that summer, and sold it for $900.00 four months later. It was just too much money for me to maintain properly. I ended up buying a 1966 Chevy Impala 2dr ht. with a 283 and 2 speed automatic I paid $1500.00 for. Good looking car, and something I could work on by myself. Although I regret having to sell the Porsche, I do have many great memories of my one and only Porsche. This Carrera 4 looks absolutely amazing, but unfortunately just won’t fit my current lifestyle. My 2018 Toyota Sienna is at the moment the perfect family mover. Maybe in 15-20 years when the kids leave home?
I don't think I've ever seen you both look as happy as you all did during the test drive! I bet you went to sleep dreaming about this car. I've been sleeping on Porsche vehicles but after this video, I'm wide awake fam!!
Awesome Job Guys on your first Porsche review!!! The 911 is indeed an iconic car!! Just think how even more thrilling the Turbo models as well as the 911 GT3 will be!!!
I’ve put over 17,000 miles on my 992 C4S, and I optioned it up highly, and it’s one hell of a car! I also have a set of wheels and snow/ice tires for winter. Amazing performance!
Such an amazing car. After driving 3 different BMW M3's/M4's for past 15 years, I grew up in my Dad's 1971 911E-- so ode to my Dad-- last December I bought a new 2021 Carrera S in Adventurine Green. Really love the color. The dealer only had 2 Carrera S's on their lot-- they had a 2022 in black that arrived the day before-- but I wanted the Adventurine Green so badly I went for that. Great overview !!!!!
I bet this review winds up selling a lot of Porsches! Amazing fun car; crazy acceleration and, oh - that exhaust! Was great seeing how much you enjoyed doing the review - can’t imagine your sorrow in having to return it to the dealer!! Thanks for this really fun & instructive review - never been in an actual 911 - so thanks!
I watched this and Smiled as much as you guys smiled!!! True car guys get it and Smile like this when inside truly Awesome cars! If I rode or drove this 911… I would constantly Smile as well. 😊😊😊
Awesome review guys keep up the great work. I prefer a regular medium sized Porsche, I'm not really into sports cars that much. But I really the design of the Porsche 911.
Great review. Could tell from your expressions/body language how nice this vehicle is. Always thought Porsche's seem overpriced, but maybe you get what you pay for (and more). Turbo S must be an absolute rocket.
People are always complaining about the center console space. Why are people taking out wallets and keys when they drive? Lol. Leave it in your pocket.
I must be one of the rare dumb Porsche customers always owning 2 at all times and never owned an Apple product. Heck in my weekend car driving I take no calls and don't use any of the options on board.
That's what makes Porsche what it is. It's for select clientele. If you got the money you don't care about the cost to drive one of these machines. More than likely the average customer for Porsche is going to be a successful corporation owner, a doctor, or a corporate attorney as examples. They have the money and have reached a level that says I've arrived. Porsche knows this and Porsche delivers that to them.
I've contacted 3 dealers to determine the order process and expected delivery timeframe. No progress - not a single dealer has offered to place the order and I've been very disappointed with the arrogance and inability or unwillingness to answer questions. I've configured a 911S on the Porsche website and know exactly what I want. I'm not into electronics and fluff...just a driver and maybe the limited number of options is a factor. The MSRP as configured is $131k. I really don't want to deal with a corporate dealer, but maybe a Sonic or Penske location might be more cooperative. I do plan to visit a dealer in the Florida panhandlers, but they have zero 911 new or used inventory. I also suspect the allocation for this dealer in minimal. Appreciate any suggestions.
Put in my request for a C2S in July 2021 with 6 different dealers. My build is 147k. Six months later no allocation. Trust me, if the dealer could get you a car they would. The global supply chain issues have caused limited production for all manufacturers. Get your name on as many dealer lists as you can. With your name on these lists you will get calls with offers for cars with a "market adjustment". I’ve received 2 of these calls for a C4S (which I don’t want). If your willing to pay 15k over list you will see a car in 2022. If not your looking at more like 2023.
Getting an allocation for a Carrara S is at 12 plus months. It took me 7 months after I got an allocation to get the car. It’s a very limited production car in high demand. Put your name on a list. It’s the only way you are going to eventually get one.
It’s a great car.... if the Corvette didn’t exist. I like Porsche’s, but the bang for the buck equation never made any sense to me, and probably never will.
Showstopper? In Germany there are Porsche everywhere and not special. You only go from distinguished to douchebag really quick if you drive slow around with your spoiler retracted. In Germany at least… it‘s a classy car.. not for posers..
All shifters should be on the dash (push button like the 50’s). Ram has it right. Instead of that rinky dink shifter on that 911. Would free up,a,lot,of room.
Could someone point out to me exactly what in the 911s interior is nicer than my C8/LT3 which has Napa leather on all surfaces including dash, doors (including lower kick panels), a microfiber headliner with contrasting stitching, and NO gloss black surfaces anywhere. It does have a lot more interior storage space but other than that, doesn't even look as nice. Only $65,000 more than my C8. For what? The Porsche name? No thanks.
The 911 is arguably the most iconic car ever made.
Arrogen in the U.S I would say Mustang but I think the 911 is more well known worldwide
Pontiac Aztek (Breaking Bad) wins.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 the fact that you had to add Breaking Bad means it’s not as known.
@@scarredfaces It is known to everybody except you.
@@scarredfaces Sort of a weak premise, no? People probably know Pontiac without knowing Breaking Bad.
This is my absolute dream car. I love this design and that interior! Have a good weekend guys!
me too but what do we do if we gon buy it in like 2030 when I'll be able to afford it? Since everything going electric.
When you brought out the coupons for a Porsche. Had me dying laughing.😂
You know we had to do it!! 😂
The coupons are essential :)

Thanks! It is hard to imagine what the Turbo and GT3 would be like when this is already so good!
Wow you guys reviewed the first Porsche and the best one you reviewed is the 911 great work guys.
wheew!! its very fast! great review
I’ve put over 17,000 miles on my 992 C4S, and I optioned it up highly, and it’s one hell of a car! I also have a set of wheels and snow/ice tires for winter. Amazing performance!
Is it reliable? Something I can put 60K miles on without much maintenance?
So proud of you guys! Making your way into the big leagues with this 911, one my favorites! Also, peep my old car in the back of one of the shots😂🥺
Ur face expression when u test the acceleration priceless
😂

Even the base engine model with a sport exhaust is perfection , this one is even more perfection , cheers .
Howdy, awesome video a great review as always y’all, and welcome to the CC Family Porchse!😸😸

Wow nice review!! Excited y’all got to review this baby! They make em great in LEGO 😉
Incredible Porsche 911!!! I'm so proud of you guys!!!
The 992.1 Carrera S with Sports Design package front and back is the best variant. Perfect all around balance.

For cars like the 911, have the meter explode when you accelerate because 5/5 ain't enough.
Thank you for this sport car's ride👍🏻😊
Our pleasure haha
Great review! Thanks! :) Do you also make a video of the 911 Turbo S?
That would definitely be cool to see!!
Thanks! Hopefully some day!
I got to drive in a Turbo S. It was the closest I think I’ll ever feel to being shot into space lol.
Amazing machine, it’s a masterpiece in a beautiful celestial white color great review guys💪

My favorite Porsche still awesome atleast
140k is a lot for a middle trim 911. I mean you’re into a 570s at this point for that money.
Just wait til ya get your hands on the turbo s
Agreed. Don't even forget the 911 GT3!!
PLEASE…..spoiler DOWN when in town / parked.
Shows you’re probably NOT an owner……
Other than that, a fair review.
It's my dream car🤤🤤
So good
with a Manual yes
People are always complaining about the center console space. Why are people taking out wallets and keys when they drive? Lol. Leave it in your pocket.
in my country this car start at 400,000$ :)
You didn't vtalk about the Standard Manual and the packages you don't get for the PDK and packages you get for FTD.
👏
Awesome😎
Iconic? Yes... Perfection? No, there are many other brands that give you better engines and handling for half the cost.
Porsche is smart enough to know its all its customers have iphones so it does not even bother with android auto.
The 992 does not have a head up display on any trim level
I must be one of the rare dumb Porsche customers always owning 2 at all times and never owned an Apple product. Heck in my weekend car driving I take no calls and don't use any of the options on board.
Porsche customizability is a fancy word for gouging customers who have to pay for things that should be standard and pay ridiculous prices for them.

@@robertpugh4321 What made you conclude it was arrogance? What makes you think a M3/M4 would have easier entry/exit? Are 911s lower to the ground?
The entry/exit from a M4 is easier and yes the 911 is lower to the ground.

The rear specs lol.
Why such a shalow middle storage..I guess the wireless tech underneath.. oh well can't believe a 1980s up car will have more muddle storage lol..
nice performance wise nothing insane really. for crazy money.I think a hellcat redeye or Zl1 far more acceleration thriller.and save 100 gees

Surely everyone would do that.
Can you loan us the $110,000 price difference?? 😂😂

2021 Porsche 991 is good enough, no need to spend 20 grand for additional horsepower

No "creaky pieces" in a C8.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Airball is that its slower than a c8 and 50k more
I see a c8 every other block. A 911 not so much.

Leather is appalling. There is no need for slaughtered animal when much better alternatives exist.
Nice car but they sound pathetic…like a vacuum cleaner…sad
My goodness can that hideous rear pop up whatever it is at 56 mph. be permanently closed.. It completely destroys the beauty of the car imo.. 😩😫😩...
