Google Play Series Bundles | How to create series bundle discounts on Google Play Books for Authors

- First, the series needs to already exist in Google Play
It looks like more than one book in the series needs to be in each format. For project collusion I have both eBooks direct through Google Play. But audiobook for Nailbiters is distributed to Google Play via Findaway Voices. My AI Autnarrated audiobook for Architects is from Google Play. So the option for an audiobook series was not available for that series, only the eBook.
This discount applies automatically. I don’t need to promote a special code on checkout. If you put both books in your cart on Google Play, the discount is applied. Yay! That’s the beauty of bundling, truly bundling. The customer saves when they buy more. I win, google play wins, the reader wins. I have these kinds of cross promos set up on PayHip, but let’s be real, most of my sales come from big name retailers. I really wish we could do this on KDP too, but for now, Google is kicking butt it making it easy for us authors to sell more.

And you have to have books directly published to Google Play rather than through an aggregator to do this, correct? 😑I haven't had any there for a whiiiiile
Correct, from what I can see the books must be on Google Play directly. My ebooks are all direct on Google Play but that's not the case for audio. The audiobooks that were not direct did not show up as available for the bundle discount. I just went to Google Play as a customer for my Feminina Series. The eBooks, both direct with Google Play, show the 20% discount I set for the bundle. The audiobooks, both via Findaway Voices, only had a 10% bundle savings that I think is the default for series on Google play.
Hey, I was looking at google playbooks and noticed a feature I haven’t before which is subscribe to new releases. Any idea if this is a feature is available to indie authors. And how it works for the author. Quick google search and I couldn’t find anything.
I haven't heard of this feature before, I'll look into it.
