Those high payments from SFI has to been a burden of your pocketbook in this market….. Good Luck!

I’m currently with SFI, I switched from company after 6 months. So far I’ve been maintaining some weeks are better than others, that’s business of course. I have made money and never fell behind with taking sometimes a week off, it’s all in how you manage. However I have decided to buy one of their used trucks soon just waiting on the bank. I’m going to turn the lease truck in and run the other truck, since I’m able to drop that 25% down. But overall I have never had any problems with SFI and was able to make money.

@@sendissanayake2572 Income depends on how you run and also rates. As you know economy is not great right now, some weeks are better than others. As far as terminals If you’re talking Schneider I really only park my truck at the terminal when going home, I like doing rest stops in all honesty unless I need a shower. I wish you the best.

Normally when your check engine comes on with no codes. Then shortly goes away. I was told by couple of mechanics that it’s because of dirty DEF (fluid)
Unfortunately there’s no additives that will clean it up. Just have to let it flow out.
    I drive a 860 for about 2 years.

You're not the first one that I've heard get the short end of the stick when it comes to these Lease trucks from SFI / Schneider. Doesn't seem like they look over or inspect these trucks before they leave them out. All they do is get them detailed then screw the driver over

I hear you and appreciate the info however you said, "$1200 per week monthly payment." Im hoping you meant $1200 per month. I was looking at SFI until I saw what they wanted for the balloon payments on some of their trucks $50-$80,000. Thanks for the info though.

Lone Mountain. $5000 and a monthly payment. It's 2023, I got a 2019 Peterbilt with just over 400k miles. 5k down, $1890 for 42 months. Truck still had factory warranty on it. If trucks don't have factory warranty on it, they will purchase a third party warranty for you. Also, you can test drive and take to a shop if you want. Much better options than a high weekly payment where you're enslaved to the truck

Ignore the drivers who obviously don't know how to make money in trucking even with the margkt being down right now, If you're a runner and I am, you can still make good money in a bad market, "plus" there's still some good money out there to be made. So again just do you, as the market will rise again and most likely soon as it's an election year coming and that's when everybody makes money, even if you work at a McDonalds lol, brace up and make yo money trucker!!!

Every truck right now has some type of problem because they are being rushed through the assembly line. As for ride, comfort room and looks the Volvo 860 is the way to go, when you hit a bump it doesn't sound like the truck is falling apart, but if you don't want to wait weeks on a part if your truck goes down get the Freightliner. Maintenance on the Freightliner will be cheaper and parts are allot easier to find, plus you wont have a problem finding someone to wonk on it.
