• Why Leasing may be you...
I had a friend who leased with SFI. A friend of his was also leased with SFI and that guy had a heart attack. He was unable to drive for a few months. SFI paused his lease and added the missed months on the end of the lease and extended it out that many months when he came back to work. With a dealer purchase or lease, they would have repossessed that truck and his credit would have been ruined.
Thank you for sharing that Jeffery. It’s one of those things you hear as an option but wonder if it’ll ever be honored. Thanks again for sharing! Very helpful information.
@@bigginztrucking4698 Just to connect the dots a little further for you. The 2 guys I am referring to are both former Millis drivers as I am. I only knew the name of the driver who suffered the health issue, never actually met him. I am good friends with the source of this story. They both ran their SFI trucks with Schneider. My buddy eventually took his truck elsewhere. He had nothing but good things to say about SFI and has said many times they want you to succeed.
I have found that most (not all) horror stories come from someone who didn’t quite realize the commitment of time, money, and resources, to succeed. I think some folks just want to say they “bought a truck”. Then here comes the payments…. Oh man, where did they come from??
@@bigginztrucking4698 100%! Besides everything you said, wasting money on unnecessary parts and accessories that do not contribute to you making money or saving on costs in some way. Like you mentioned those, long hood chromed out trucks look good but all of that is a waste of money. When you figure in that big flat front end you are trying to push through the air, zero aerodynamics = more ⛽.
I've watched your videos since you started. There will be a learning curve at first but I'm confident you'll settle in and make it work. You've got a good head on your shoulders, have defined goals and are motivated. Recipe for success.
What an awesome compliment Jeffery. Thank you for that. And yes zero aerodynamics puts a hurtin on the fuel. My buddy has a W900 and he gets about 4.7mpg.
Loved the opening remarks !!! It needed to be said!! I realize so many people out here are playing to NOT lose instead of playing to WIN!! Good move!! Rooting for you!
Just making sure the right folks are investing their time in such a long video boss. Appreciate the love. Drive on driver 😎
I purchased my truck from SFI about a year ago. In my first 8 months of trucking I did 228k. I’m so thankful for SFI. I’m a contractor at JB hunt
Love it!!! Thanks for watching Wayne. Drive on driver!!! 😎
Wow
@@garyclay9899 it’s real Gary! JB Hunt still has good freight even through these tough times.
Did you make 228k with JB Hunt?
Tell me your experience with SFI, how much was the Dow and any other fees? Do you still work with JB Hunt? Thank you
That message at the beginning was so real. Cut them ones off who speak negative on you doing something positive and bettering yourself
I’m only 3:45 in (doing research, getting reviews…thinking of leasing) and I LOVE that saying you used: build the ark and let the rain do the talking. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I appreciate that Jay! The truth is the truth boss man. Thanks for swinging through to spend some time with me on the video 😎
17 minutes awww man...
Fortunately I actually enjoy listening to you talk, whether it’s truth bombs or funny stories.
I appreciate the kind words boss. Sometimes I just have a lot to say and in spite of my edits what’s left, is what is left. I got another one coming around that’s even longer than this one lol. But I do try to keep them between 5 and 8 minutes.
Excellent video but I can see that despite the information you still have material to make more videos and be able to respond to details of this lease that many of us may have. Thanks for your time..
To continue. I am a company guy. Always have been. Was promoted to management. I sucked. I have no temperament for slackers. I would rather implement, train and solve. So, again, I tip my hat to you. Good luck on saving for a house. We own and it is paid off. Remodeled and that is paid off. It just feels right when you do it. Then the first night you are "holly scrap. I owe that much!" Then you get that sucker paid off and the weight of the world off your shoulders. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
I understand completely. Having managed and trained for corporate AT&T I can appreciate why someone would not like that type of atmosphere. That slacking of the staff is an aggravating bear to deal with. We do look forward to getting our home very much and will continue to be patient for the right one at the right time and this will either delay or accelerate that process. Which is why we spent so long trying to decide how to properly execute the plan. As always Jim, thank you for watching and for the support. Have an awesome weekend bud!
The Bigginz empire starts with 1 truck 😎🔥
Indeed Mr Rush, indeed.
Thanks my Brother you be safe out there too I highly appreciate your insight this is what I need to hear much success to you on the roads
It is my pleasure Tyrone. Thank you for watching!
5:41 is the only reason to go with SFI honestly if you ain’t got hardly any money down but understand all the money paid is on the back end & I mean weekly 1200-1300 weekly 😮💨 compared to financing it’s paid normally up front 20-30% down payment & reasonable monthly fees about 1/3 SFI monthly fees but older truck you can get the extended warranty on older trucks is available 😅
Please keep the information coming because I am planning leasing around February or March after my 6months with the company and I do have a lot of concerns because of all the negativity other drivers have to say. Thanks again keep up the great work
I appreciate that Andre! I have a few cooking now. Feel free to email me anytime. Bigginztrucking@gmail.com
Solute…the arc message got me
I loved the disclaimer. Right on.
Appreciate you Dan! Thanks for watching 😎
Only you can do you; people need to remember that. Keep rolling brother!
Love it! Nothing but truth right there Blueville Chief!
Thank you, it's going to always be your decision on leasing, buying or company driving. Haters will always throw shade on everything.
Indeed they will John, indeed they will.
I appreciate the mention 👍
Tip for you. Get a D&B account. They will reflect your lease payments on your business credit. So at least you will be building a history. And make things easier for you in the future.
I came into this with a personal credit score of 650. Mostly because I paid cash, rather than finance. And I've since grown it to a solid 800 on the personal side, in 2 1/2 years. Business credit, is good as well. Not great, because I have very little history there also.
Best of luck to you
You are very welcome. I tried to tag your channel in the description but it wouldn’t let me. Also thank you for the D&B tip, I had no idea that was even an option.
@@bigginztrucking4698 your D&B number is very easy to get too.
Strongly considering my options to get my own truck, and SFI seems to be the big dog in town, so I hope you hear more from you in future videos on how easy or difficult it is to earn enough to cover all expenses and truck payments. I live in Washington State so my biggest fear is the freight market in this area
I’m happy to answer any specific questions you have along the way. Feel free to email me at bigginztrucking@gmail.com if it’s not something you want in the comments section. I look forward to sharing more as I go. I’ve been managing to do quite well and absolutely do not regret my decision in any way. But, I want to make sure I have just gotten lucky since I’ve been out here before I go into the videos about the financials and such. Thanks for watching Christopher!
Ty for confirming everything I was thinking plus great information. I own a older truck which has been great for more local stuff but really small sleeper and seems like I’m always fixing something on home time. I believe that sfi would give me peace of mind and make better business sense for me. Ty again!!
Thank you for the video, I've also done my research on SFI. About to take the leap
James I appreciate you watching and I wish you the best of luck on your journey. It’s a wild ride but has been the best decision I’ve ever made. Feel free to throw my name down as a referral and maybe ol SFI will throw some fuel money my way 😉
Working at schneider love to get ahold of you. I have seen small numbers from drivers but at the end of the video they say because I like home well I don't truck is my home so. But I only want to go this route because with my current debt and trying to pay them off sooner I don't save alot to be able to throw 10k down payments.
Hey Jared! Feel free to shoot me an email anytime at bigginztrucking@gmail.com with your contact info and available times to talk.
I did a lease purchase thru a food grade tanker company. It’s the best option I think. They pay for insurance and tolls. The tolls in the NorthEast region are insane. I got a 2022 Cascadia.
Excellent info Elite Fleet! Who are you leased with?
@@bigginztrucking4698 Foodliner
@@TwoFiveLive I had no idea they were owner op. I see the tanks all over but thought it was all company. I might know some guys interested in that.
@@bigginztrucking4698 yeah they only have lease purchase options. They’re hiring like crazy I do know that. We’re under staffed
After 1 year, could you tell us how your business is surviving?
Thanks for all
I’ll hit my halfway mark in my lease at the end of this month. I plan on working on a video snapshotting what my business has done in that time.
Thank you so much for uploading such an amazing positive video my brother now you give more confidences going through this process 🙏. Great video.
Thank you for the kind words! It is my pleasure. I wish you nothing but the best on your journey my friend.
Good for you. Research is so important. Also talking things out with your wife. Goals, plans, 5 year, 10 year, one year, hell one day. Where will I get my coffee? It is also good to limit the negatives out there. My dad always said "everyone is arm chair quarterback until they have to foot the bill". Me,if I was a driver which is a plan b for me, I could not do it.
Does the Cascadia premium driver lounge collapse to a bed?
Great video bro. In this crazy pandemic trucking market I wouldnt dare buy a truck. Everything is overpriced and not worth going in debt for. Drivers need to understand that ANY vehicle; commerical or not have sufficient "depreciation" so trucks are just a tool to use.
Thank you! You are spot on my friend.
With the fuel costs now over $4 how are things going? Im dying to be an owner up with my own authority but the fuel prices are insane right now.
So far so good. Of course higher fuel costs cuts into profits. However, I often compare going into business for yourself to having children. There is truly never a perfect time to do either and there are always an unlimited amount of reasons not to do it. But I know if I want something I’ve never had, I have to do something I’ve never done. I personally do not, have not, and will not ever try to sell someone on the idea of being an owner op. However, whenever consider the cost of taking risks in my life I try to imagine what it looks like when I’m handed the bill and o haven’t taken any risks at all. I’ll be glad to help you along in any way I can with what limited experience I have. Either way, I wish you great success in whatever you do. 😎
PS
You may see a video soon discussing this very topic. It’s in my upcoming list of content. Excellent question Eddie.
I have a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia it was the standard but it was a very nice truck had all the amenities I needed! If I get back in it I'm getting a premium because I do like the driver Lounge and the heated and cooled leather
Awesome! Yeah, I think they do a great job of suiting out the trucks. Of course you pay for it but not much left to do when you get the truck but start making money with it.
Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Do you recall sfi having any premium cascadias without the top bunk?
You are quite welcome. At the time of my purchase a single bunk sleeper was not offered.
Nice video. Love the process for SFI. But they been dragging alot of people by the string. Put a down in June. For 22 cascadia. Till this day no truck. Yes its not there fault. Due to shortages. But don't take peoples money and say 8 weeks for truck delivery. When actually it's more time. Lol. Food for thought
Man that sucks. How much are they asking for a down payment these days?
Thanks for the advice
Lease with option to purchase you mentioned so why isn’t it walk away pls help…. Or is it just forcing you to do the lease only
Do all the trucks come with APU’s
I can not say all have APUs but the new Freightliners do. I’ve met a few guys who purchased used SFI freightliners and they did not have an APU. I am not really sure about the specs on other new trucks they offer.
Excellent video man. Thank you!
My pleasure Rich!
Hey
Thank you for the information
I just had approved with SFI.
If you don’t mind
I’d like to get some more information .
Thank you !!!!
You are quite welcome. Send me an email and I’ll be glad to answer any questions you have my friend. Bigginztrucking@gmail.com
whats your payment on that premium truck?
You'd think a drug dealer could just go buy a new truck for cash.....
LoL
So after the lease is done do you get to keep the truck or return it
To keep it, there is a balloon payment which varies by truck. Also you can return it or trade for another truck.
what if you don’t have any money to put down is their any way around it; or is there at least another company you can recommend to follow through with this same lease purchase deal?
Hey Joe. There are quite a few lease purchase options available. To be honest it’s a bit of information overload for the comment section mainly because just throwing the names of the companies out there doesn’t really seem to actually offer you the real information you are seeking. Would you mind shooting me an email so we can open the dialogue up a bit more? bigginztrucking@gmail.com
I will help in any way I can. I bet I looked at 10-15 different options and there are quite a few I still feel are good options.
Great video! Appreciate the info
Kevin I really appreciate that bud! My pleasure to help.

Getting my truck from SFI in march, getting a Volvo vnl 860
Congratulations! You’ll be the first I know getting a new Volvo from them. They signed a contract with Volvo over a year ago and haven’t had one shipped to them yet. Feel free to send me an email with some pics. Very excited for you!

I’m interested . How may I contact you , besides RUclips ?
Hey Dave. You can email me at bigginztrucking@gmail.com
Anybody that tells you to make a payment weekly runaway from them. All the gimmick deals like rent to own furniture have weekly payment deal. Thats because they know you cant afford to make the monthly payment.
Sounds like you have many years of wisdom behind those words. As a veteran owner operator I am sure you have been around for quite a few of the gimmicks this industry has offered over the years. For that your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching driver.
I would go with SFI, or someone like them, before I would ever go through a dealership. I’ve seen dealerships screw too many drivers.
You and I have talked a lot about your plans. I know how much homework, research, etc. that you put into your decision. You’ve busted your ass to get to where you are brother. Leave the naysayers in your rear view, that way they’re in a perfect position to kiss your ass!
Roll on driver, roll on!!
Amen brother! We gonna get there and the damn naysayers will still be busy talking there mess but in the same place they have always been, never moving forward. Just too busy trying to keep folks down. And indeed a perfect position 🤣
Lol, man you look really familiar....
👍 I’ve been around lol. Maybe we talked at a truck stop somewhere. 😎
@@bigginztrucking4698 ever worked on boats
Nah. Wish I had that kind of skill.
I have always bought through a dealership have never had a truck note. As a 60 year old owner op. If I get injured I drop the tags and insurance, then it just sits. That's why I don't lease.
You can get a personal / business loan at a credit union with better rate and a lot lower monthly payment.1800 compared to 4k is better
Great video, ill send you a email, im interested
Thank you Felicia! I look forward to hearing from you ☺️
Hey Felicia! I just replied to your email. Talk to you soon 😊

Wussup No Hippie! Welcome welcome 🤗
This company sucks i got a lemon from them had a truck for 5 weeks 3 out of 5 in shop with electrical problems turned it back in and walked horrible
Man I definitely hate to hear that the truck didn’t work out for you. The only point I would make here is it seems the manufacturer of the truck is who sucks not the financial institution lending the funds for the truck. In any event I hope you are rolling in something that is reliable and making you plenty of money. Thanks for watching Michael.
@@bigginztrucking4698 well sfi didnt want to do much about it till i was about to get attorney involved. So they sold me the truck so all i wanted was to return and just be charged for use of truck. That was like an act of god to get done.
@@iam4ouru10 That makes more sense. I imagine that would sour your taste for them. I’ve heard several of the lease type financing companies can be a pain to work with for early termination. Of course no company feels they are at fault and the contract is about a million words loaded with back doors for them typically.
Unubtanium🤣👍🏾🤣
Indeed 😂😂
I'm getting ready to sign up with SFI through Schneider itself, my only issue is the fuel costs these days other then that I'm excited to be somewhat my own boss and succeed in this business I'm hungry for loads and miles. I have a couple questions and I see your email on a couple comments so I'll email you soon.
Hey Richard. I just looked and I did not see an email from you by the name listed here on YT. Have we corresponded yet? I’d love to help answer any questions you may have.
@@bigginztrucking4698 oh yes my recruiter is Lindsey with Schneider up in Wisconsin. Then I have Amy working with me through SFI. I would love to move quicker but I know inventory is a pain right now. And that's ok I'm in no hurry a I'm watching these fuel costs lol. I'm working on the money down needed as we speak so hopefully we will meet on both ends. Much rather have a zero down program but it is ok. Produce is picking up so money is there just waiting on my truck lol.
@@richardfisher21081 that’s awesome! It would mean the world to me if you’d put me down as a referral. Maybe SFI will help me out with some fuel money 💰 😎
