Good morning. Question, are you still with JB Hunt and are the rates still decent.

No, Im not at JB Hunt anymore, the rates were where on the low side, I had truck issues that put me down for too long, mine was a lease truck, I was getting hit with the high truck payments. Another thing I noticed was I got more load cancelled than usual and whenever trying to book another load there was nothing available closer than than 250 miles.
I got to the point where I was not making enough to pay operating expenses. That’s me, doesn’t mean it goes the same way to everybody else.

Damn, pray you're doing better. I'm leased onto Schneider and at the moment and their rates are bottom of the barrel. I'm not trying to get rich. I'm just trying to eat. 🤣🤣🤷🏾

@brandoncooper1546 Same here, I got me a local job making $27 hr. All benefits, they have promised me between 50/60 hrs per week, I think I’ll be better thank God. Sometimes swimming against the current is not the best thing, be safe and wish you the best out there. I’ll be making some videos about my new journey.

Cheap fright. Don't have a breakdown.😮 Not worth it at all. Work hard for little money. You have to have your own authority to come on top at those rates. No middle man. # own your equipment No lease or financing.
    That's not Normal 😎😊

I got 50,000 cash and I’ve been a trucker for three years I make 2000 a week as a company driver do you think I should buy a truck?

    • @Truckers.Safe-Haven

If you are doing good as a company driver I wouldn’t change anything. If you know what you want to do and think doing your own thing is the way to go, I will just tell you as of right now, most of the industry is complaining about low rates, high fuel price and cost of parts to do any repairs. I would wait until about March and see what it looks like than, as we are going into winter we take another hit with that.

@@Truckers.Safe-Haven thanks for taking the time to respond my problem as I don’t know any truckers personally in real life so it’s hard to get any kind of advice. I just get a little tidbit of info here and there randomly.

I could just imagine know what it would be like dealing with a truck with 500,000 miles on it the one I turned in had 425 on it. It was a good truck but it was just little things you know but I could just imagine that at 500 or 600,000 miles how it can turn into a nightmare

@@harryknutts8428 Yes old trucks can good if you really do your homework like, take it to a good mechanic before you purchase the truck, make sure to do oil sample test, let that mechanic take a real good look at it! We are here to support one another, take care and be safe.

Am about come to jb hunt in September has the rate gotten and better and has the fuel surcharge went up also. Do think jb hunt would a good place to put my truck at. And do u think it would be hard to take home 2000 to 2500 a week

Thinks are not looking good, but it’s not about JB Hunt, this is nation wide and it’s everywhere, I have a truck payment witch is killing me but if I stay out enough time I can make about 1.5 to 2k after all expenses. JB is a good company fuel discount helps big time too

I have had that issue happened before but it’s not like every load you drop you will have to deal with that, I have gone for about 3 weeks to a fell month without having to go look for and empty
