- Today we’re sketching flowers… but are they? We’ll take an idea of a flower and make it abstract, using bold colors and funky shapes. I’m working with acrylic markers and my mini sketchbook. As always, use any materials you like.

The daisies were the PERFECT idea for a mother's day card. My mother is suffering vision loss and I was stumped on what to make her. I put it against a dark teal background so it would pop even more and since this design is bold, large with clean lines and easier for her to see.

Sometimes I get myself so worked up im choosing colors, placement, style, etc. that I end up bailing on the whole project. That's when it's nice to tune in and follow a video, lol 😆
To answer your question about whether or not it is preferable to have a single-idea quick sketchbook video or doing several in a longer video... it truly makes no difference to me. Whichever is easier for you to make, I'd say! I usually only have time for a single sketch, so if you made longer content, I would just separate the projects into multiple sessions.

I just discovered your videos this weekend and I binged quite a few of them. The daisy you painted today reminds me of a page of flowers you did in a previous video, where you had boxes with a flower in each box. I love your ideas and look forward to more videos!

Those are beautiful flowers. 💮 I don't know what they're called but my favourite flowers are tiny wild violets. ... I love daffodils and tulips.... so bright and cheerful... I love pansies, too... I also love most flowers to look at and photograph.... but I am allergic.... so I don't "handle them".
