A quaterback who almost won a second superbowl deserves respect. He wouldve never done that to a white quarterback and yes I said white. Get him a freakin O line and the story would be different. That was my first thought, all my years watching football don’t believe I’ve ever seen a all pro QB get torn into. I think Payton just dosent like Russ and it come out. He pretty much turned Russ into a game manager and have him second guessing his self in the pocket
From a Lions fan, I genuinely believe the second one was down. Any of those 3 could have been called a TD and I’d let it go. The offsides was legit but not egregious and a rough time to call that. Ultimately the refs did not decide this game but it’s a huge momentum killer. Call the first one a TD and play on. As far as Payton, totally unprofessional and needs to be checked
I really dont think it would have been offsides if you were to see the line of scrimmage from exactly 90 degrees. Its a crooked camera angle, to think they would call a helmet over the line by an inch is insane .
Appreciate the thought. I thought they were all TDs but I can see where rhe knee down might not have been. But Big Mouth Payton should have thrown the flag and didn't. Sean Payton also has to think what does that do to Russell's psyche? Some people check out if you criticize them let alone yell at them. If Russ was having a bad day it could have really went left but that's not the type of guy Russell Wilson is he's a real composed guy. All I'm saying is him snapping like that could have motivated him or could have made him play a little bit more nervous or cautious or something like that but Russell's a veteran so he handled that situation with extreme composure.
There is no way Coach Payton would have talk to me like that as soon as he finished I would have gave it right back to him, you can believe that shit!!!! 😠🏈
Uh, No. Peyton's yelling because behind the scenes he's part of the organization's push to deprive Russ of his money guarantee against injury. Whether he was doing it willingly or as a good soldier for the new regime, who knows, but he's obviously either baiting Russ to overreact or dumping all his pent-up frustrations on him over the situation they both found themselves in. And no, it certainly wasn't only about that last sequence of plays.
Players are more valuable than coaches......... Here's a fact: Players can win a super bowl without a coach..... A coach will never win a super bowl without any players.......GMs and Owners know this.... if a QB says fire this coach or trade me, coach is gone....
So Russ completes the pass to get ya'll there, and they run the ball multiple times, yet he screams at Russ. Instead of going off on a Russ, call better plays.

@D_Corleone what are you talking about? Not only have I played numerous sports, but I also have been in the military. This has nothing to do with the act of yelling. It's about what the yelling means. It's about his coach trying to shift the blame for his failures. They never threw a single pass on the goal line, so why go at Russ. Every good coach and leader will own that moment, not show up someone. Even if he was going to tear into Russ, why do it publicly then double down on it in the press conference. This tells me you've never led or had a good leader if you think this is about him yelling. I've been yelled at plenty but not without reason or a purpose.

He blew up on Russell because he rushed the play without taking a moment to analyze the defensive set and possibly check down to the option play. That's been the knock on him all along under Payton, he's a terrible pre-snap tactician but it's a crucial skill in Payton's scheme.
As a Lions' fan, I thought it was a TD. I want to win but not on bad calls! Couldn't understand the offsides call either but I'm seeing it on an angle. Anyway, I felt sorry for Russell Wilson. It was fun seeing him sacked but not by his own coach.

Challenge the spot, coach. When it’s the difference between a TD and not a TD? Challenge it. That’s on you. Because that first one wasn’t just close - it was a TD. Challenge it, and there is no “sequence”.
As a Lions fan, it's really weird to have these calls go in Detroit's favor. The fact that Payton didn't challenge the first non-touchdown is crazy. The offsides was a gratuitous call as well. Every game you can see a tackle step back before the ball is snapped and it's never called. Either way, great win for the Lions.

Total disrespect by sean payton and this has been going on all year. Russ should hve check ths stuff earlier but now it's out of control! Sean Payton is out of control--ths wouldn't have happen to other franchise qbs. Russ needs to hve a real man up conversation wth sp. The media will protect sp and spin it like it's all russ fault.
Would he do that to a white quarterback
I can’t stand his a$$ stealing getting a pass for his coaching and behavior towards Russ

So would a lot of Broncos fans..Lol
y'all can have him!
He definitely deserves more respect than this clown gives
He might be a good fit in Pittsburgh.
Russ is that guy who will never criticize and have this upbeat attitude blah blah blah but his ass behind close door need to check Payton. A quaterback who almost won a second superbowl deserves respect. He wouldve never done that to a white quarterback and yes I said white. Get him a freakin O line and the story would be different. True fans support you Russ.
That was my first thought, all my years watching football don’t believe I’ve ever seen a all pro QB get torn into. I think Payton just dosent like Russ and it come out. He pretty much turned Russ into a game manager and have him second guessing his self in the pocket
@@pedrocoke5928 nah, Russ is running for his life behind that 0-Line & sean payton pointing fingers like he himself isn't part of the problem
True on the O line, but “wow” on the comment. Careful, blm mite be hunting you down. 😂😂😂😂
Yes Im glad it turned out to not affect the outcome. Its crazy seeing the Lions this good finally and doing it with the guy the Rams didnt want.
It's on him - yet he yells at Russ. (After the Miami game he was actually babbling about Russ' wristband - when his D had given up 70 points.)
Agreed
IT DOES HURT THE GAME, IT MAKES FANS FILL LIKE WHO CARES THE REFS ARE SCREWING WITH THE GAME AND IT WOULD OF BEEN A MUCH CLOSER GAME IF THE REFS WOULD NOT OF INTERFERED, THE REFS ARE INCONSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE LEAGUE GAMES NOT JUST THIS ONE AND IT IS RUINING THE GAME. I NO LONGER WANT TO WATCH THE FREAKEN GAMES WHAT IS THE POINT REFS ARE DECIDING THE GAMES. IT IS UNFAIR, I ALSO CONSIDER THE LION'S TROLLING WILSON WITH MUSIC UNSPORTSMANSHIP IT IS NOT RIGHT BUT GO AHEAD IT IS NO LONGER A REAL SPORT IT IS ABOUT REFS INTERFERING IN THE GAME! I SURE THE LIONS WOULD NOT HAVE ENJOYED HAVING THOSE TD'S CALLED BACK HUH? I AM TIRED OF TEAMS AND PLAYERS GETTING SCREWED BY THE REFS ALL TEAMS NOT JUST DENVER, AND EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT PLAYING A CLEAN GAME! REALLY? THATS A JOKE WHY DON'T THE REFS TRY PLAYING A CLEAN GAME!
Payton 100% gave uo when he called for a field goal, cant have that
Payton lost his mind! Who does he think he’s talking, too? Taking his frustrations out on Russell was BS he’s a grown man‼️He needs to be fired for trying to act like Russell is his scapegoat‼️ Russell needs to check this fool💯
They were down big. it wasnt time to be running the play clock down.
The nfl is a good ol boys league and what that coach did was a typical good ol boy outlandish scene against his quarterback which was uncalled for
Very odd that Payton didn't challenge either of those possible TDs.
Russ needs to really check Sean Payton as a man. Don’t allow no man to talk to you like that!
Payton is flawed like Gruden.
The rule is all the football has to do is touch the front of the goal line, not over it, that my friends was some Vagas shit,,
There is no way Coach Payton would have talk to me like that as soon as he finished I would have gave it right back to him, you can believe that shit!!!! 😠🏈
That was 100% refs interfering in a game three times in a row and I don't know why
I don't think Sean really likes Russell professionally nor personally...... just the way it looks ALL the time
Each week Godell is getting his picks all the way to the SB.the pin stripes are the enforcers for his NFL.
True
Bro, i think Wilson is one of those dudes that he will go straight hulk on somebody one day. It's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.
I said the same thing. They better leave him alone before he snaps
Coach, coaches
Your soft if you never been yelled at by a coach and took it for what it is. Or you never played and couch coach games. ITs football your gunna get yelled out whats next you cant get yelled at in the military lol 🫵🏽yall 🏳️🌈 😂

Long-time Saints fan here. This behavior looks foreign for Sean. I don’t ever remember him treating even our backups like this and we’ve had some dark years under him. He was disrespectful, no question.
Lions fan here, and I believe that the Broncos got screwed out of those TDs. They had clearly broken the plane of the goal line. That offsides penalty was bullshit. Peyton going off on Wilson like that was completely uncalled for! He should have screamed at the refs for not doing their jobs! I would have damn near threw my headset on the ground. I would have been in those refs faces like "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING AT YOU MORON!?!?" Wilson did NOT deserve that.
Broncos fan here. The call was NOT BS (like KC) Quinn Meinerz was lined off offsides (be it barley) he was still offsides. The center (Cushenberry) is supposed to make sure everyone is lined up correctly. The Broncos had NO answer for Detroit and this game was over at halftime. Let's be real here. Be thankful you have the team you have from the coaching on down. The Broncos do not.

Payton was acting like a frustrated child taking his anger out on Russell. Payton is to blame for not challenging any of the three touchdowns. Payton was acting like a punk.
I had tons of respect for Sean Payton but after this I don’t care for him
I’m happy we didn’t hire him. I always thought Payton is overrated. He only has one ring. He’s another Mike McCarthy.
I think the most important piece about this situation is how Sean handled the post press conference. Of course, the reports are going to ask why did you look so upset at Russell. "It's none of your business." It's like, "Come on, Sean, you have been in the league for many years. You know how this stuff goes
That little loser said none of your business because he knows he was behaving like a fool for no reason and that that was no reason for his behavior.. of course he has to say none of your business because he had no reason a justification for that
Wilson needs to get out of there period. That display of disrespect will only be shadowed by the next Denver playoff game. Payton and Russ each got one ring apiece in there propective positions.
He blew up on Russell because he rushed the play without taking a moment to analyze the defensive set and possibly check down to the option play. That's been the knock on him all along under Payton, he's a terrible pre-snap tactician but it's a crucial skill in Payton's scheme.
Sean Payton keep 💯 it’s personal your not a Russell Wilson fan one championship ring what else have you done?
Nothing
If you'd look at how rigged these games are, this just proves to me that Sean and other coaches are all in on it too! They're all in on it!
As a Lions' fan, I thought it was a TD. I want to win but not on bad calls! Couldn't understand the offsides call either but I'm seeing it on an angle. Anyway, I felt sorry for Russell Wilson. It was fun seeing him sacked but not by his own coach.
payton displayed how much of a jerk he is, u never chastise your QB like that out in the open especially a veteran pro-bowler like russell wilson,. i found it more surprising that wilson didnt immediately snap back at him, his restraint was admiral...
It’s always Russell’s fault. Payton just wants to scapegoat so he can have his way in the offseason. If he doesn’t play absolutely perfect, they always put the blame on him. This game was not on Russ.
The problem is that I'm pretty sure Peyton couldn't have thrown the challenge flag because Russ did hurry up
the clock was running they're down by three touchdowns of course he's going To hurry...the call would have stood anyways, and they would have lost a time out
Head set in the helmet so many ways to relay the message.

It was Sean Payton at fault for the broncos loss against the Detroit and he flopped the game on purpose and he tried to put the blame on Russell Wilson

Maybe coach expect his QB to make sure nobody lines up offside
The way they were playing, the Broncos would have lost anyway. smh
