    • @MiltonRoe
      @MiltonRoe 11 месяцев назад +12

      True to some extent but in almost every case, the defender drops until the blade of grass are brushing his chest to get a nice, late hit in on the sliding QB. There's no reason they can't stay upright other than wanting to make a hit so badly they stop thinking.

    • @stephenmorgan6012

      They have a perfect reason to go low, the runners always lower their head when theyre about to take a hit. If the defender aims for the chest and runner lowers their head into it then it it also a penalty against the defender. The games rigged against them every which way

    1:01 I've said that some of these hit that draw flags are good hits that are solid and even brutal, but not illegal. It's football. It is either a game that can be played, or it can't.

    • @entr224
      @entr224 7 месяцев назад +1

      You have to be dumb to not think thats a foul he tackles head first into Wilson. I agree many of these hits that draw flags nowadays are dumb but thats an awful example to use.

    • @randallanderson1632
      @randallanderson1632 7 месяцев назад

      @@entr224 The human body has the head on top. If a person is going forward and bends at the waist, he will be going head-first. I don't know a way around the simple dynamic of the human physiology. In the example I gave, the tackler is going head-first but his head and shoulder hit Wilson at about the same time, neither body part directly hitting Wilson's helmet. I could argue that it is a sport where the speed and size of today's players have outpaced today's concern for safety.

    • @entr224
      @entr224 7 месяцев назад +2

      Homie its not that hard to lean head first into someone. You probably haven't played football in 40 years but when they teach us to tackle its not that hard to avoid hitting the head.

    • @420drobud
      @420drobud 6 месяцев назад

      It has to be without pads just like rugby . That's the only way you can minimize injury because it's a constant sport you'll never get rid of injurys but without pads u think twice about hit sticking someone because you have no protection

    • @randallanderson1632
      @randallanderson1632 6 месяцев назад

      @@420drobud I have heard that theory a number of times. I think today's players are selected for their abilities and playing styles to play football with the equipment. And the players themselves have a mindset of playing with equipment. So, I don't know if there's a way of turning back now. Another thought would be playing on a field surface that radically slows players. Then there is the idea of covering players with inflated pads so they would look like the Michelin Man with a big, bubble helmet.

      I mean not really. The dude clearly tripped. The rules are dumb as shit. Defender has no option other than to not hit him and let him get away due to how the rules are written. QBs just need to take hits its the sport of football.

      @@ryansaintz2575 If dirty hits are legal because somebody "tripped," then you'll see a lot more "tripping" all over the field. Making excuses for lazy and greedy defense is pretty dumb, imo.

    There`s too many decissions that nobody can understand. You hit the QB a split second after the ball is gone, and get the flag.

    I dont think that hit on Goff on at 8:36 should be illegal. Goff pretended that he had the ball and the defender, who was on the back side of the play and couldn't see Goff's empty hands, bit on the fake. If Goff didn't wanna get hit he shouldn't have faked so well.

    1:03 this is a great example of why qb sliding should maybe not be a thing, You can't UN-TACKLE your TACKLE this guy was already running full speed getting low to tackle and then they are gonna call "unnecessary roughness" and the clip before the previous clip the guy tackling was already low and couldn't avoid helmet to helmet contact because the qb is LOWER than him because he is SLIDNG
