I honestly love it when Angelina and Sandro are on, and really all of your guests. But Angelina and Sandro are both like the cousins we don't actually have. Sandro's the cousin who'll take those chances and will gladly show you how to rig up a dry ice bomb, but will only watch you do it because he actually knows how dumb and dangerous it is. Angelina is like the smarter cousin who's experienced quite a bit and isn't afraid to tell us, "That will end poorly and you really don't want to be paying for that for 15 years while it's broken. I'm not saying one's better than the other, they're just like that part of an extended family. Angelina's gonna take you off-roading, camping, or whatever, but will absolutely tell you when you're doing something stupid, Sandro is gonna tell you how to do something stupid, tell you it's stupid, provide you with stuff to do said stupid thing, but he'll make you learn first hand how stupid it actually is. Angelina will stop you from shoving the fork in the electrical socket, Sandro will give you more forks and a car battery to do more experiments with as he stands further back for his own safety. Can't wait for the family reunion.
Angelina feels like the cousin who goes "don't even think about doing that" when you want to do/learn something stupid. Sandro feels like the cousin who does stupid things in front of the kids and goes "don't let me catch you doing what I just did"
I love how Angelina stays the teacher all the way through, never getting into the super dangerous rides while Sandro jumps into anything without batting and eye :D
Sandro is literally the best part of this channel. Dude is so fucking chill and I wish his shop was nearby because I would exclusively take my car to him.
Seriously Angelina and Sandro are absolute gold for this show. Both have perfect energy for this type of content and really showcase well with their style.
You can tell Sandro is just a true car guy who just so happened to become a mechanic, and just like a lot of us has rode in waaaay sketchier rides over the years.
Brake Fade... In 98 I was working as a chauffeur. This extremely overweight family (everyone was fat) needed to get from Ohio to a hotel in West Virginia for their vacation. There were 10 of them in my 16 passenger limo. Each one of them weighed over 200 lb. We had a second limousine that was a 10 passenger just carrying their luggage. First 3 hours of the trip was great. Then we started getting into West Virginia, deep in the mountains. The limo that I was driving was a 97 and if you didn't know all they basically do when they make a limousine is cut the car and make it longer they don't put in bigger brakes The only thing that they put in bigger is the alternator and springs 😳. Limousines are designed to drive around a city not for cross-country travel and definitely not for driving in the mountains and if you are driving in the mountains having a whole car full of people that weigh as much as a whole car is not a wise thing to do. We started going down this very steep hill. I am not using any gas and we are accelerating rapidly. I touched the brakes and then I let off because I'm a professional driver and I know that you can't just cook your brakes or you have none. With this much weight downshifting is an option but you can blow your transmission. I didn't have much of a choice. I hit the brakes and try to touch and go but as soon as I let off the brakes we would start accelerating rapidly. So I downshifted to second. This helped but the transmission was screaming and oh yeah it is a slow snake curve banking right And then left over the course of two or three miles straight down. As we are going around the curves I am now transmission in 2 in the car is going about 80 mph and the wheels are screaming. I'm still doing touch and go with the brakes to try to maintain control. I've never been so happy to see the bottom of a hill in all my life 😢😁. I started getting brake fade and I had nothing... And you could smell the brakes. We got down to the bottom of the hill and I pulled in the rest stop and told everybody to go use the bathroom and take their time because we were going to be there for the better part of a half hour, to 45 minutes to let the brakes cool down. These people were complete assholes and upset that I was making them wait. I didn't give a damn My job is to pick them up in one piece and drop them off in one piece and I plan on going home at the end of every day. When we pulled into the rest area the other driver said that he could see that my rotors were red hot. If you want to know what it felt like it felt greasy. The brakes weren't squishy It felt like somebody had thrown grease onto the rotors. When they get that hot before you ever get break fade the brake pads will squeeze against the Red Hot metal and it will actually cook the pad and turn it into a vapor which is not a friction surface because it's a gas and you will feel it. Brake fade is the last stage but you don't have brakes before then. I only had two oh s*** moments in 2 years of driving limousines and that was number one on my list. My pucker Factor was at a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10.

As a former owner of death traps like these I'm proud of the parking lot/ side of the road repairs I had to do just to get it back home and cobel it together a little better the next day to keep it going. I have used compression fittings on brake lines to get home. I drove around for months with plywood screwed down to my floorboard so my feet didn't fall through the rust hole. One time when I was on the way home from taking a car to the junk yard, dropped my rear drive shaft. I had to put the back tires of my truck on the car dollie was pulling, use ratchet straps to hold tongue of the dollie up, some barbed wire I cut out of a farmer's fence to hold the drive shaft up and limp it 6 miles home in 4 wheel drive. When i was finally able to aford to buy vehicles that didn't brake down every few months/weeks the guys at my local parts store thought i died because i stop coming in all the time. Bottom line if you're going to be poor and drive a rusted out shitbox you have to be a little creative and have some ingenuity to keep it moving from point A to point B.

I think this works so well because Angelina and Sandro complement each other really well. Angelina has more of a normal-person reaction, and Sandro is always and everywhere DOWN TO RIDE. 😆
Sandro and Angelina are the best 2 mechanics for this series and I hope they stay as a permanent fixture on this channel. They’re both super chill, down to earth, know what they’re talking about and just over all really good people/mechanics. Really hope they stay and at the very least keep Sandro around “ FOR THE BOYS”!!!😂😂😂
2:00 They didn’t even know a common problem with the early 2000’s Chevys having rotted and snapped frames, having them say it was a rear end collision that caused it told me all I need to know, they can’t have too much experience as mechanics. They are good actors though.
@@jaredchampagne2752yeah, the replaced tail gate is a pretty good sign that there's a good chance it was a rear end collision. Maybe, they know their stuff.
@@kragoth1458 No not at all. Almost every early 2000’s Chevy that is rusted, has a replaced tailgate from a junkyard because the bottom rots out and the linkage stops working. The truck literally has no bedsides left from rot and rust. There’s a 100% chance the frame snapped from rust.
That third clip reminds me of when I helped my buddy JDM swap his ‘95 mr2. We did it in a weekend and we had quite a few bolts left over. One was really big and looked really important lol Needless to say he had a shop look it over after that. Then a couple months later it gets stolen and is never seen again. Luckily this is in like ‘08ish so tuner cars were still very affordable so he wasn’t out that much money. Think he paid $5k and it was super clean, loved the t-tops. Man I wish they’d bring back t-tops so bad! Side note that was the hardest swap I’ve ever done and it was the engine that is designed to go in the car but it was like wrestling a bear in a very small cave
These two guests are the BEST!! I'll watch every episode of any show that they're in. I'd love to see Angelina in the "if you can fix it you can keep it" shows and Sandro helping with low-car projects.
8:28 I work at a semi truck shop, and we do some f350 and up trucks. I have run into trucks that have lost brakes due to eating through brake pads and the metal backing, and they fall through the gap between caliper and rotor. I have also seen people go to someone cheaper and have forgotten to put in a pad or the hardware for the pad. But those rotors look damn new for it to have eaten through the metal and the pad .
You just knew Sandro would be down to ride most of these, what a legend. I really like that Angelina and Sandro are both experts in the field but bring their own style, such an awesome pair guests.
About 10 years ago i drove my used 91 ford probe (mazda 626) from champaign illinois to dallas fort worth in one go. On the way the drivers side rear brake caliper locked up and the heat of the trip caused the pad to fuse to the caliper piston. Leaving dallas. I had to slam on the brakes on the freeway which caused the caliper piston in the drivers rear to shoot out but since it was fused to the brake pad it could no longer go in. I drove that car back to central illinois being careful over two days. When i would stop id turn the car off. Top off the brake fluid then pump the brakes to bleed them so i could get one good stop. If i used that stop before i wanted to id nutral drop and aim for a parking block. I got it home and fixed the brakes but eventually the interference engine got me and it blew up. I loved that car though.
I see Sandro, I smash the thumbnail! I am a simple man. Edit after watching the video: Sandro is down to ride just about anything, and I can't get enough of it! Hahahaha! Damn is this guy awesome and hilarious!
Now I am definitely convinced that Sandro is a vampire. First I thought the teeth are just show-off, but being willing to ridie SO MANY DEATHTRAP VEHICLES you HAVE TO be immortal hahaha
Sandro is crazy, I love it. What if you put these two head-to-head with a crew in something similar like scrapheap challenge where they build a "car" in 2 days from scrap and take it to a circuit? That would be wild to see.
The trailblazer platform with the broken upper rear control arms, I've seen it on 2 already, pushing 3 with my current one just starting to snap the upper on the driver's side. The problem is that the fender liner doesn't cover the control arms and grit, salt, sand, gravel and dirt rot the frame out right there via the factory frame holes and the bracket doesn't give clearance to even wash it out. The control arm locks up in the bracket then flexes until it snaps. I'd say it was planned obsolescence, good vehicles but you have to spray those out to maintain them or pull them to clean them out, just buy new arms. Neglected the frame will rot out, I have an example of that. End note I'm absolutely a fanboy of Angelina. 😂 But yeah there's a few things on those SUVs that are devastating issues but I have 4 of them now lol
Man i love those two. Sandro knows no fear. I´m always amazed about what is possible to drive in the USA. I live in Austria and our yearly road legality checks are insanely strict and the state makes it as difficult as possible to modify your car in any way.
some states in the US don't require any vehicle inspection at all. where I'm from in NJ, inspection is every two years and only checks that your emissions systems are functioning and no check engine lights are on. No inspection needed on sufficiently big trucks pre-2006 I think, and none needed on passenger vehicles older than 1995 or any motorcycles. Needless to say, I would feel a lot safer on the road in Austria
@@Sam-lr9oi man that is absolutely crazy. Yea you would feel safer but it comes at a price. And that is a huge one. They check yearly everything. From joints, enginemounts, rust, emissions, leaks, tyres, even the fucking wipers. If you have a little hole on the under side of your car, you fail. Some shops are so strict that you fail if your wiper makes a line on your windshield. And they can just say "dude we have to replace all the brake lines" and there is little you can do cos you can fail inspection once and you have to do the second one in max 30 days or they take your road legality sticker away, your insurance doesn't cover you and you get fined a lot of money. Insurance is 50-150€ per month depending on horsepower and you pay like 1,80€ per liter in gas. Owning a car here is expensive af. And don't get me started on mods. They just make it next to impossible to modify. I can explain how rediculous the laws here are but i'm about to go to sleep. If you are interested i can write something down tomorrow.
@@nicozimmermann8672 they do inspections in finland every year also modding your car in finland is not to go to A-katsastus aka old finnish monopoly company because the state owned inspection place had many envious or communists as inspectors from 60-90's because of hatred of westerner cars because that mean't that you had more money or just to fuck with if your face wasn't their likein but connections usually stopped the inspectors to fuck with you because two way road if you knew the right ones.
12:15 i had one of those come in with a shattered t case. Had the same problem.. it also took out the diff too because when he drove it it not only rocked up and down but it cocked to the side and crabwalked! He drove it that way for 5 months
1:36 I can tell that was in Chicago. The I94 signs and the sides of the expressway gave it away. I grew up next to I94, where it runs through the northwest side of Chicago. I can almost always tell when a viral video was recorded in Chicago. The city just has a look to it that I can always recognize.
My two favourite guests on the show. And especially in this episode it was awesome to see how different they think. Angelina is right, that stuff can be very dangerous for yourself and others, especially the stuff which can lead to catastrophic failure mid-drive. But I also have to agree with Sandro, it's hella fun. Please enjoy deathtraps responsibly
Hey, safety tip for everyone: If you ever have jack up a Raptor to put on scales make sure the parking brake is on and lift the rear by the differential. Two guys at my shop didn’t have it set and the scales shot back across the floor about five feet when they lifted one wheel at a time thanks to the positraction. Thankfully nobody was behind it. Be safe y’all.

6:12 "I mean...where the fuck is your helmet" Even Sandro knows that was stupid xD
I think this works so well because Angelina and Sandro complement each other really well. Angelina has more of a normal-person reaction, and Sandro is always and everywhere DOWN TO RIDE. 😆
Love it when Angelina and Sandro are in these videos!
Sandro seems like he’s down for any questionable cars as long as it give him a good story
They are good actors though.
to be fair, neither one of them have probably ever turned a wrench on a car that didnt spend its life in califoofoo.@@jaredchampagne2752
to be fair, neither one of them have probably ever turned a wrench on a car that didnt spend its life in calif.@@jaredchampagne2752
8:04. That tattoo mixing with the green screen looks dope AF.
Sandro is great, he knows all these could be a minute from a fireball of death but he gets us, he gets that sometimes it's just for the boys
Both them needs to be permanent on the channel especially Sandro
They basically are, aren’t they? I think the last two videos had both of them.
@Sniperboy5551 that is true but they had a 3rd guy and he makes a appearance of time to time
Nah. They need their own channel. No... they need a fkn TV SHOW!
I just found this channel and have watched all the Angelina and Sandro episodes. They have such charisma and knowledge. Keep up the great vids 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Sandro is THE guy. What a gem they found in him!
they should bring these guests to the rest of the donut shows i could totally see them in the next hi low or money pit
Forget Hi-Low how about a DIY emergency roadside hack series with these two in the shop???
You just knew Sandro would be down to ride most of these, what a legend. I really like that Angelina and Sandro are both experts in the field but bring their own style, such an awesome pair guests.
Sandro is a real g! Bro is the kinda homie who you want with you at all times. The home is pure hype 😂
If Sandro doesnt wanna ride your car, then you know that bad boy is GONE.
I love how Sandro is down to ride no matter how sketch it is.
Except the brakes one. And if he won't ride in it, it's a true death trap.
Well, 170 without brakes. Need I to say more? 😂
@@DavideDavinigoing 90 without brake is considered scary enough 😂
I love that they leaned into the "for the boys" line. I wish Miranda's shop or donut would make a shirt with thT on it
Nothing brightens up my week more than another video with Angelina and Sandro!
I wanted to say that this ad suddently went SO REAL and I loved the energy of the director who was like "Yay I get to be in the spotlight a bit!"
This video goes to show why we like Sandro so much 🤣🤣 he’s always down for anything 💀
Love love love Angelina please keep her coming back again and again.
Sandro knows the odds of survival on all these are close to 95%
I'd make that deal
That may be so for this video, but his requirements of are 51%.
Have you seen his teeth? He's a vampire, he doesn't care, he knows _he's_ not gonna get hurt.
Sandro and Angelina are my favorite guest on rms. The offroad guys are great, I'm not a fan of November but the other guy is cool.
We all need a Sandro in our life, man is down for anything 😂
Sandro is a fucking savage, mad respect cause some of these are barely functional and he's still down
I see Sandro, I smash the thumbnail! I am a simple man.
Edit after watching the video: Sandro is down to ride just about anything, and I can't get enough of it! Hahahaha! Damn is this guy awesome and hilarious!
Sandro is basically the unofficial Donut mascot. Dude is a vibe of his own!🤣🤣🤣
Client: brings in a coffee table with an engine and four rollerblades duct-taped to it.
Sandro: down to ride.
Sandro's got the boys so hard he oughta be put in the boys' hall of fame!
Sandro just always seems like a cool guy to chill with
Sandro needs his own show. That man is old school cool.
Sandro is the maaaan!!! Every car enthusiast needs a friend like him! 😆
I'm here for about days. watched a couple dozen of videos and I love Sandro already.
My two favorite mechanics! I would love to see them in a Donut Media video doing some other stuff. Testing weird accessories or mechanic stuff.
Man I was starting to worry about Sandro, but thankfully y’all found the line he wouldn’t cross 😂
But yeah there's a few things on those SUVs that are devastating issues but I have 4 of them now lol
Got to know Sandro a bit more in this one and he cool as hell. Angelina is like some dream come true. Keep it up Donut!
@@nicozimmermann8672that’s actually fucked. I’m sorry man
@@nicozimmermann8672 they do inspections in finland every year also modding your car in finland is not to go to A-katsastus aka old finnish monopoly company because the state owned inspection place had many envious or communists as inspectors from 60-90's because of hatred of westerner cars because that mean't that you had more money or just to fuck with if your face wasn't their likein but connections usually stopped the inspectors to fuck with you because two way road if you knew the right ones.
correction in the 60's to 90's not from because they retired or dead
You know it's a serious damage when Sandro doesn't wanna ride on it 🤣
“Where the f*** is your helmet?”
- Sandro
My boy Sandro is just down to be there when the chaos unfolds and that's why we love him.
When Sandro hits us with "the boys" i immediately smash the like button
Petition to hire Sandro on full time! Dude is hilarious and has great chemistry with the crew.
I would actually like to watch an uncut version of something like this
