My dad had a 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint with a 289-racing engine in it. It took 90 pounds of weight over each rear wheel to keep traction in the wintertime. I can't count the number of weekends spent helping him in rebuilding the clutch assembly and u-joints on that car from him dragging from stop lights, but it was fun. Fond memories.

The age range of roughly 50-60 are when old men have a lot of money, a lot of time, not much to do, and still able to get around usually. They get bored. Some take up golf, some dump their life savings into fast cars, some dump their savings into hookers and coke.

Angelina's explanations are great, she should do a series explaining how to fix certain issues. She's freaking great at explaining each step and covering the bases on what to look for along the way.

So fantastic to see Ms. Angelina and Sandro hosting together. These two need their own show, or at least a regular appearance on RMS - GOAT COMBO!
2:40 what people don't get is that the catalysts in catalytic converters are combustion catalysts. Carbon buildup next to them acts like "palladium on carbon", AKA "powdered sparks" normally used for hydrogenation reactions for hydrocarbons but which make oxidations run away once started. Put too much heat and air through and that carbon buildup will exceed its catalyst lowered flash point and promptly burn. This is made vastly worse by flow restriction in a catalytic converter sized for the engine before it got air and fuel flow improvements. Disintegration increases surface area, thus also combustion rate. Translation: hybrid rocket engine is the closest available model. If you see glowing hot exhaust, it is not happy, and if its also coked up, its going to get very unhappy.
I find it funny Sandro and Angelina are in so many of these but they're definitely my favorite mechanics

If the industry wasn't so f'd up I'd be a mechanic. I love working on my car and chasing the problems, but too many horror stories from my dad, friends, and companies making it harder and harder to work on vehicles is what's stopped me from doing it.

My '06 chevy 1500 with the 5.3 L33 i have a side-pipe exhaust, just the factory cats and a glass-pack. When it had a bad o2 sensor, and it was just running at default rich for a week before i fixed it, it sounded so good and would throw a bit of flames

@@beehard44 True. But to be fair, that BMW stability control system can be a bit of a pain; I normally turn it off if it's slippery; I can handle the car going sideways, I prefer it to the car doing things suddenly, violently, without warning.
