I think they are the PERFECT blend of professor and street style mechanics. It shows in their differing opinions on some of the takes they show in the vids sometimes. Pretty dam good show.

The reverse hopping clip is from a Peugeot 306. All versions of the 306 have a torsion bar suspension in the back. Same with the Citroens from that Era. Cheap french rear axle design that works. Its most commonly used nowadays on trailers. And best part, with a few tools you could easily set the ride height at the back by unscrewing a bolt, compressing the suspension and then tighten the bolt again.
I have a 306 phase 2 from 1999 myself and that torsion bar is pretty awesome, not only does it give a comfy ride it's also very serviceable, replacing shocks just requires a jack plus an axle stand and a 18mm and 22mm socket. and if you need to remove the entire rear wheel suspension you just need to remove 6 bolts, loosen brake lines and abs sensor lines and you got the entire bar out, which in my case has to be done because one of the trailing arms is stuck

The crew at donut must truly be humble guys because this channel was clearly for them to talk with mechanics about cars. However once they saw the unrivaled chemistry between Sandro and Angelina, they knew to just step aside and let them take over.
I'd let my most expensive employees take time off if I could get cheaper talent to make my 2nd channel a hit
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this was the plan all along, and they had their own folks on to start as more of a "getting the audience used to the new faces" sort of thing.

This is a spillover channel for content a lot of Donut fans weren’t terribly interested in and it caught a niche. And they clearly use these two because it would take up time, money, and resources their crew could use on their main channel.
Took all of two Donut videos when they first debuted for me to get annoyed by the Donut crew enough that I don't want to watch anything that has that guy in it. I'll watch anything that's pure Sandro and Angelina all day long.

The DeLorean was a deathbox because of the stainless steel body panels. They added so much weight it made a 35mph crash feel like a 60mph crash. And the frame could not hold down all that kinetic energy. The weight was distributed away from the frame so it had a lot more kinetic energy stored "higher" on the car and that's why you see so much movement in the body/engine mounts. Rear mounted engines also carry more momentum through the entire episode of the crash rather than it dissipating on initial impact. Stainless is not strong, it's corrosion resistant, but it's soft and heavy compared to other steel.
If the Delorean was going 88 mph, it would've gone back in time to before that wall was put there. That makes it safer at higher speeds.

Me and a Friend both had the same exact Aerostar Van back in the early 2000s and we could both work the gas and the breaks to bounce the front wheels about 2 feet off the ground. I know we could have bounced even higher but I was always worried about going too high and breaking something- everyone thought I had hydraulics. We trashed the back chairs and just had folding chairs. I also broke the rear windshield wiper fluid dispenser so I could shoot a rooster tail out the back about 30 feet- I could spray over the car behind me and hit the one behind it. When I started driving it I hated it but it ended up being my favorite vehicle I ever owned just for the lol-factor. I even went off-roading quite a bit with it and got it stuck twice (for as much as I off-roaded that's kinda surprising). I refused to ever clean it so it had a 'fading' paint job, all brown on the bottom, all dark red on the top. There's also a lot more lol stories about that vehicle, we had so much fun with it- this is back when I was a teenager and we were crazy. I always wore a real authentic sumbraro when driving it and we'd blast the local Spanish radio station.... today it'd be considered an ultimate meme-vehicle. Those were good times! Now I'm a normal 40 Year old, I don't miss much about being younger but I do miss that Van!

Oh how much I love you guys :) Those reverse bumpy Peugeots are famous for having the rear suspension gone but that bumping was fun.
That last guy is pretty much guaranteed to have everyone saying "well he died doing something he loved" at his funeral.
17:20 that guy is an expert with pulse jet engines. The Mythbuster's brought him in when their makeshift pulse jet go kart would only 5 mph. His upgrades to the design went 50 mph.

That Delorean crash was also it hitting a solid wall so the car has to take all the impact. The modern crash tests are usually against a deformable block intended to simulate how much another car would also crumple.

7:28 my dad actually had this happen to him. I forget which car this happened in, but the latch actually had failed previously and he had rested it on the "second position" of it since it wouldn't rest on the lock area while we were going 70 on the freeway. he actually used this as a lesson for me to not panic while stuff's going wrong with your car which actually ended up saving my butt when I lost a tire due to a tire failure on my car

I was kid during the era of the Delorean and most parents didn't buckle up their kids or themselves. My mom had a lady pull out in front of her and she T-boned the car and my brother and I were playing with a puppy in the rear seat floorboard. Luckily no one was seriously injured in that accident.
The Delorean crash was conducted by a company developing airbag tech. The original car did not have airbags and I believe this was the only one. That car was bought and eventually restored. I believe the crash was early 90's.
Angelina was right about Donks! Texas and South Florida have a huge donk culture. I love em.
Some Peugeots and Citroëns can do that hopping thing even with good shocks, it's like a little party trick. It's because of the way the suspension is set up with trailing arms and torsion bars (panhard rods). Not a very sporty setup, but easily adjustable, excellent for comfort and it gives room for lots of suspension travel.
The “little controller” part was priceless!😂 I love these two!! 😂
Crumple zones were around in the late 70s. I recall when my father shopped for a 76 vw rabbit, the dealer mentioned the incorporation of crumple zones.
VW's Type 2 Transporter microbus also got improved frontal crash structure frame reinforcement in 1973, to the point that drivers actually had a much better chance of surviving front end collisions even with the forward control position.
Volvo and Mercedes started crumple zones and collapsible steering columns in the Sixties.
Sandro and Angelina are my favs. Also, I love how it took this long to seee a car Sandro would not ride in.
