I have an a7iii and, honestly, have had a hard time using Slog2, I always end up with noisy footage even though I’m careful with overexposing the image. I’d like to know what color space are you using: rec709 or Bt2020? And, what type of exposure metering are you using, frame average, highlights or which one?

@@jeremydavis1267 this is going to be a long answer, sorry for that.
I ran my own tests (33 different combinations of settings) with my a7iii and got the conclusion that, if you are looking for a very low-noise imagen with good color output reaching even ISO 10,000, the best settings are:
-Cine4, BL -15, SGamut3.Cine, exp 1.0
-HLG3, BL +15, rec709, exp 1.0
-HLG3, BL -15, rec709, exp. 1.0
The worst results came from the next combinations:
-Slog2, BG+7 middle range, rec709, exp 1.0
-Slog2, BG+7 middle range, SGamut3.Cine, exp 1.0
Aside of the experiment, in real situations, I have been more careful with my histogram and it has delivered better. This plus a correct color space and gamma conversion makes a big difference.
I haven’t tested on field the conclusions of my experiment, but looking forward to do it

I was recently faceing some problems with under and overexposing in one shot. Is there a way to automatically keep the brightness at +2.0? With aperture priority for example?

You can set video to have aperture priority and shutter and iso to be on auto, then set your exposure compensation to +2.0

I don’t get the windows. Anytime I do that and expose for the windows. My windows are perfectly exposed but the room is pitch black dark or hardly seen. Thanks for this video!

Try to find a middleground. You can lift If the midtones in post later. Check out at 4:20
